Immersion inside Korea
Charming village in the middle of Korea. Extremely simple room (sleep on floor), but that the principe of this kind of local guesthouse. For travelers who want different kind of experience, closer to locals.

Nice experience, simple
Lady from Information at the entrance called the owner and he picked us up. Friendly, but didn't see him anymore. Asked him to bring us back the next morning: was no problem. It is really quiet at night, found a restaurant to have diner, looked closed (just heard some pots and pans and walked in), but when we asked we got a fabulous meal. Best thing is to bring your own breakfast. On the way back, visited Andong: nice and great food in foodstreet.

Simple but reasonable place
This guesthouse was very simple but I slept well. Air con was very effective! It was great to sleep in a traditional room, although the mattresses were very thin. Since I travelled alone I was able to pile them all up to make it thicker, but if more people had been with me I think I would have felt the floor through just one mattress. The room is very simple and the house does not feel as old as some of the others, so if you really like historical atmosphere I recommend you find another. However, it was great to see and hear real Korean village family life played out in the courtyard around me. I was greeted by a lady who seemed to speak almost no English, which put me off asking for more help, but the next morning I met a man who spoke a little more English. I wish I had met him before. There was a restaurant in the centre of the village where I was able to get 'Korean steak' with rice for dinner early in the evening.

He really enjoyed our stay at this guesthouse. Everything is as advertised. The bathroom/shower is separate, but very clean.

Lovely Hanokstay experience
The location was excellent, right in the middle of Hahoe village. The hosts were very friendly and refilled our water bottles, gave us towels on request, and took us to a convenient place to eat dinner inside the village, as well as ordered the perfect amount of food for us. My only (tiny) complaint would be that the room seemed a little small for three adults, as it seems more appropriate for two adults and a child. Still, we slept very comfortably and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Great traditional place to stay
Location, staff, food
The Guesthouse is located right in the middle of the Hahoe Folk Village. The architecture is traditional and simple, the ondol rooms were a bit small but had an A/C and TV in it. The mats were a bit too thin (or maybe we Westeners were not used to them yet). The showers and bathrooms were across the courtyard. The owners were a young family who helped us with everything and even showed us to a good restaurant just down the pathway, mentioning that it is their family's. Their specialty was Andong chicken and they even sold bottles of Andong Soju (Andong is the next bigger city closeby). The food was very good and still ok-priced (look for the set menus). There are not too many options in the village though since everything is closing early and it's a very small town far outside the city, so bring your own food and snacks if you like. One of the owner even drove us to the train station because we had to take an early train with his own car for a small fee! A big thank you to the owner for that!

This is just room accommodation, no more.
Have to share bathroom to owner family. Have to ask bring towers.
I realized that is just a intermediary between customers and the house owner who want to earn money for their spare rooms.
