"For $34 the room is bright, modern & a good size. It is right next to the main big park for walking and is a 15 minute slow walk to Hoan Kiem, where a similar hotel will cost you $80. It is right in the middle of Hai Ba Trung area, where not many tourists go, but has great restaurants and coffee shops. The only negative comment is th"

"I have stayed at a few 5-star hotels in Hanoi but I have to say that their staffs are all the same. The lady at the reception had a very bad first impression with no smile and asked me if my friend and I would like to stay at 2 rooms because she saw that my booking was just for one person. I booked via Agoda and that is the default of 1 room 2 persons. It seems that they don't know how to smile to guests. Instead of asking if we were going to stay at 2 rooms, she could just ask in another more friendly way. And when she realised that she was wrong about the booking information, there was no sorry from her. Apart from that, we got a very nice room with views to 2 streets. The room was very clean and in a nice decoration and the bed was very comfy too. However, the location is not really good as it is pretty far from Old Quarter and other lakes. The taxi drivers did not know where the hotel was and took an extra round to bring us back to the hotel. It is located at a bend of 2 busy streets. "

"I booked this one as my usual hotel was booked out. I am glad that I had the chance to stay at this surprisingly nice hotel tucked away around the corner from two other famous hotels. The facilities are clean and modern. My room was very large and the best thing was the coffee machine! Recommeneded if this location suits your needs."

"We read mixed reviews regarding the state of the hotel but decided to check it out for ourselves. In hindsight we should have listened to the others. We had to change rooms because our first one was in such disrepair and was so noisy that we were wanted to leave altogether. We ended up agreeing to move to a new room as the front desk woman was very kind and trying her best to accommodate us. The new room was just OK but it had the basics. The bed was probably the hardest bed we ever slept on and we live in Bangkok. The shower was nice initially but after 10 minutes the drain began to back up which is unpleasant. There were small ants in the bathroom and it was obvious the complimentary toiletries had not been replaced from the previous guest. We were told there would be breakfast but we didn’t see it when we left at 710am or 810am so I’m guessing it doesn’t exist? Either way the hotel wasn’t terrible but it was not worth the money and we wouldn’t stay there again. "

"My second time at LaCasa and again I have a good experience. The hotel is convenient for me as my HaNoi office is in Lo Duc street so I can walk there easily. La Casa is a full service hotel that is well run. There is a small gym, sauna and swimming pool on the roof which was a bit quiet due to the cold weather. Breakfast is expansive and good quality. The best thing are the staff who are attentive and discreet. Well worth a try on your next trip to HaNoi."

"Good location if you need to take a train or bus. Easy airport pickup. Breakfast was not great/few options. Seems like you could have asked for eggs, but we didn't see anybody working the kitchen area until we were already finished. Staff will help book transfers and travel, but it is much more expensive than doing it on your own. Despite having a ride South booked by the hotel, our van still tried dropping us off at the wrong hotel. Car transfer to the bus station-driver tried to get us to tip him extra and wouldn't take us all the way to the van so we got out and walked the short 100m. We would have walked the whole way if we knew how close it was. No spa on site, but the hotel will provide you with free transportation to and from a local place that is OK. "
