Hai Ba Trung District hotels & places to stay

I have stayed at a few 5-star hotels in Hanoi but I have to say that their staffs are all the same. The lady at the reception had a very bad first impression with no smile and asked me if my friend and I would like to stay at 2 rooms because she saw that my booking was just for one person. I booked via Agoda and that is the default of 1 room 2 persons. It seems that they don't know how to smile to guests. Instead of asking if we were going to stay at 2 rooms, she could just ask in another more friendly way. And when she realised that she was wrong about the booking information, there was no sorry from her. Apart from that, we got a very nice room with views to 2 streets. The room was very clean and in a nice decoration and the bed was very comfy too. However, the location is not really good as it is pretty far from Old Quarter and other lakes. The taxi drivers did not know where the hotel was and took an extra round to bring us back to the hotel. It is located at a bend of 2 busy streets.

It was a very pleasant stay in Vista Hotel Hanoi. I was in a business trip. When I checkin at the hotel, I notice my mobile phone has gone. I should have carelessly left it in the taxi. I told the reception staff about my lost phone and they ask me for the taxi receipt. They are so helpful to call the taxi operator for me. With their effort, we finally get contacted with the taxi driver and the staff asked him to take back my phone to the hotel. I would say I would not have get back my mobile phone with the kind assistance provided by the reception staff. I really wants to say thank you to them (and to the taxi driver as well). And The hotel is value for money in the region. The location is same as Nikko hotel and I love walk to the attractions (e.g. Hanoi Cathedral). The room is big and tidy. Highly recommended.

My second time at LaCasa and again I have a good experience. The hotel is convenient for me as my HaNoi office is in Lo Duc street so I can walk there easily. La Casa is a full service hotel that is well run. There is a small gym, sauna and swimming pool on the roof which was a bit quiet due to the cold weather. Breakfast is expansive and good quality. The best thing are the staff who are attentive and discreet. Well worth a try on your next trip to HaNoi.

We had a great (2 night) stay here, the staff is super helpful and sweet. Service wise it was the best during our whole stay in Vietnam. We were also able to leave our luggage 1 week prior to our stay (we didnt wanna take it to Sapa). This was so nice because the hotel we stayed in before wanted money for this but at Blue Hanoi Inn it was just part of their hospitality which I appreciate so much. Breakfast was super yummy although I'm still confused why they told us the beef sandwich was finished, but guests that arrived 20 mins later than us did get it. Anyway, go for the beef sandwich, it's yummy.

This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. The staff are fabulous - professional, always on spot for your requests, fast, efficient, courteous, friendly, always positive and make you feel really at home. It's relaxed yet also has real attention to detail. It's modern yet classy, has a solid authentic feel to it, and it's in a great location in Vietnam, surrounded by great places to eat, cafes, lovely local people around on the street. Rooms are perfect. Really well laid out, designed clean as whistle thanks to the great cleaning staff. Beds are super comfy, hot bath water and great bath tubs, lovely solid chairs, furnishings, desk and lighting for work. The rooms are better than the images on the website - which is rare indeed for a hotel! They also organise tours which I didn't go on but I saw many happy guests returning with smiles. 5 stars. Congratulations to the management and staff. P

Really enjoyed our stay at Binh Anh, not the best location for walking due to distance but at least walking is easy when you can use the footpath, unlike in the old quarter. Beaut' big spacious room with excellent TV. Very good decor and excellent bathroom! (no bath) The bed was a little firmer than I'd prefer. Very good WiFi! Not all staff speak English but it was never a problem, they are very service oriented and want you to be happy. Cooked breakfast is Asian style only, I eat low carb' so a few fried eggs and coffee's was enough for a light breaky for me, (there are a lot of pastries etc inc' in the breakfast)... there is a great restaurant a few doors down that we ate at often (Indochine) easy to walk past and not even see it. If you don't need to be in the old quarter and want a much quieter stay with large room for reasonable price I'd recommend you consider Binh Anh hotel.

We read mixed reviews regarding the state of the hotel but decided to check it out for ourselves. In hindsight we should have listened to the others. We had to change rooms because our first one was in such disrepair and was so noisy that we were wanted to leave altogether. We ended up agreeing to move to a new room as the front desk woman was very kind and trying her best to accommodate us. The new room was just OK but it had the basics. The bed was probably the hardest bed we ever slept on and we live in Bangkok. The shower was nice initially but after 10 minutes the drain began to back up which is unpleasant. There were small ants in the bathroom and it was obvious the complimentary toiletries had not been replaced from the previous guest. We were told there would be breakfast but we didn’t see it when we left at 710am or 810am so I’m guessing it doesn’t exist? Either way the hotel wasn’t terrible but it was not worth the money and we wouldn’t stay there again.

I would rather say a fantastic hotel in Hanoi to stay . Was in this hotel for a week and it was a wonderful stay at this hotel in terms of cleanliness, location, food, quality of service and also customized service by the hotel staff was too good. Very close to heart of the city , shopping area and restaurants .. pubs etc. I admire the way the hotel staff provides help and their eagerness to give prompt service to the guest was too good. Just ask any help shall be rendered by hotel staff instantaneously. Great Hotel I ever stayed and recommended for all for a nice stay in Hanoi. My sincere thanks to the staff Khoa, Hai , Trang , Huyen and the hotel manger Tuan.

I travel regularly for biz and, when company is paying, stay in higher end hotels. Stayed here for personal travel on a budget. PROS: - Very low cost - Genuinely friendly and professional staff, check in / check out process less than 3 mins - Comfortable, nicely appointed rooms - Minibar stocked with affordable beverages - Basic but quality breakfast offering - Short taxi ride to Old Quarter (<30K dong) - Nice selection of bathroom amenities CONS - Soaps provided (shampoo, bar soap, bath gel) insufficient if two or more people share room - minibar could be stocked with snacks to round out the offering Overall a surprisingly, quality experience. I was delighted.

We travel two weeks in Vietnam. We have seen Saigon, Dalat, Nha trang, DaNang, Hanoi, We have seen a lot of hotels for price around 200 000 vnd. But when we check in to Eiffel Hotel , i was in shock. This is really 3 Stars hotel with a realy good stuff, and service. The reception looks good. Our room also looks good, everything was brend like. Shower things and towel. All was good and clean. This hotel is a real pearl in ocean of others for this price. The breakfast was Traditional Vietnam Soup (Pho bo) or sausages with bread. or eggs omlet. Also in room was free cofee, tee, water. Everything was VERY GOOD. Just book this hotel and you will be in shock allso ! RECOMMEND!!

Good: Internet is 20-40mbps upload and download, fantastic for video conferencing. The property is brand new! Everything is clean and the service is great. When I first arrived they gave me a small room and I was EXTREMELY disappointed, even if it was a cute place, it REALLY STANK the stench of cigarettes. After looking at my booking I realized I paid for a bigger room. As soon as I got switched to the bigger room, what a difference! Bigger and no smell of cigarettes. I travel lots on business and this is by far one of the best places I stayed. The staff is a little confused at times, but they're very friendly. If you stay, just be patient with them. They are nice and want to help. They are all extremely friendly.

I stayed at the Flamingo in December 2012 for 2 weeks. I was absolutely amazed by the friendliness of the staff and they were extremely helpful at all times. I have done a lot of travelling and this was the best staff I have ever had. Very clean hotel, and great Bathrooms. Good location, on a long street with lots of shops, local restaurants and great bakeries within walking distance. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Ha Noi, both Business travellers and others.

This hotel is in the old quarter but further from the tourist cluster of hotels. Around the hotel are very local amenities that will add a lot of color to your stay. Yet it is also quite close to the huge international hospital and new mall. The staff was really great about switching our room when the first got noisy from nearby construction that occurred during a few days of our stay. The complimentary breakfast that you get booking through agoda was brought to our room each morning; a lovely detail for vacationing couples.

This was the only place in our 6 week stay in Vietnam which forwarded us a photo of their front door. Knowing how difficult it’s sometimes to find a homestay in urban Vietnam this deserves a full star! We were looked after by an incredibly nice lady who insisted on carrying our bags and who made us welcome glass of juice and several cups of coffee. Position of the homestay was great. It was surrounded by several good restaurants and many cafes. And it was not too far from the Old Town. Highly recommended. We would stay again.
