Thank you very much for staying at Hakone Airu this time. We are very happy to receive your high evaluation. We offer relaxation in a place away from the crowds of city. Our inn is located on a hill about 15 minutes walk from Hakone Yumoto Station. I think it would be difficult for foreign tourists with a lot of luggage to come walking. We recommend arriving by bus or taxi in advance. However, as you said, there are very few taxis now. This is a problem common to all tourist destinations in Japan. In that case, it would be a good idea to send your luggage from Hakone Yumoto Station to the hotel and walk there. And the view from the top of the hill is exceptional. It will soothe the fatigue of your journey. For dinner, we offer Japanese Kaiseki. Japanese kaiseki is a traditional dish that uses plenty of seafood. I understand that it is not acceptable to foreign tourists. However, what you should definitely try is the kaiseki cuisine. We also sell plans such as beef shabu kaiseki and sus

    “Great stay but feels cheap”

The ambiance from the room to the dining area was great! The highlight was the huge flowing private outdoor onsen. The water cycles so you can jump in whenever you like without needing to wait for it to fill up. The dinner that came with the room was also a great full course meal. On the negative side, 10am is quite an early checkout time already and they even told us that the checkout time is 9am, which is an hour earlier than what Agoda has. They are also very unwilling to accommodate with anything, be it delaying the checkout out time slightly, bring some warm water, or borrow umbrella, so the experience feels very rough. The staff that speaks English is quite helpful but junior and the more senior staff is quite unfriendly and unhelpful.

Great place to relax. Not exactly convenient to Hakone shopping and rail station, but that could also be seen as a positive.

Thank you very much for staying at our hotel. All rooms at our inn are equipped with a private hot spring bath with mountain views. You can enjoy hot springs while admiring the beautiful scenery. That is our hotel's greatest strength. The concept and interior design are different from traditional inns. Most of the employees are also foreigners. We will strive to learn Japanese service and give back to our customers. We understand the issues surrounding food. This is because our hotel serves Japanese kaiseki cuisine for dinner. Kaiseki is a traditional Japanese cooking method that uses plenty of seafood. It can also be used as a snack for drinks or as a hospitality dish. All menu items are seasoned with soup stock (seafood stock, etc.) and beautifully presented. I understand that foreign guests don't like it. However, as a ryokan, we would like you to experience Kaiseki cuisine. We also sell plans where you can choose your main dish and sushi restaurant seating plans. Please note that t
