Kana our host was so hospitable. In fact the guests were also fabulous sharing everything with us.. Our room was gorgeous and the bed so soft. Its up the mountain so clean and beautriful in a small village. The free bus goes through the village from the trains staion in Hakone and stops there. There is a Family or Lawsons there if you want to buy food.. I 100 percent recoomend it

Currently on a 1 month trip throughout Japan and this Hostel has been great! Most chilled out homey feel. Kana-san is super helpful and is sure to help you out with understanding routes / activities/ even deals or recommendations! Come check it out great little area!

What a charming hostel with the best staff”
Such a cute and charming hostel. The best was the staff. Ms Kana really made our stay. She was so lovely and caring and spent so much time helping us to plan our stay for the best. She even made us a salad :) loved her! You have to stay here when you come to Hakone.

just on the side of main road of Hakone. It is a traditional Japanese house full which can supply a unforgettable experience. 2 convenience shops next by can help to supply meals even in the evening. Only one staff but she is very nice and friendly, and she can provide very good suggestions on transportation,food, hiking route, food and onsen(hot spring) .

We stayed at the double room for a night and there was no AC in the room however there was a fan. It was raining quite a lot when we stayed so the fan was enough. The bathroom and shower were a shared ones but they were cleaned. The staff was very kind! She booked a private onsen for us, gave us recommendations for good restaurants, and she even helped us make our itinerary for the next day. The location is pretty good as well so overall anenjoyable stay!!

the staff was extremely friendly, fun and helpfull in all. the hostel is very old you dont have to expect luxury and super clean floor but it has an unique personality. the dorms double bed are very comfortable we had the windows one so we see the sunset from the window and a great view of miyanoshita. the situation is great because miyanoshita is calm and has lot to do by walk, private onsens, restaurants, waterfalls, walks to the mountains... the train station and bus is near to go to gora or hakone !

The host was very accommodating. You can leave your luggage before your check in time and also after your check out time. She also recommended a very nice and budget friendly onsen, about 20 meters away from the hotel. They have free coffee and green tea. She also cooks a delicious vegetable curry. It's also walking distance from both the Miyanoshita train and bus station. Excellent value for money. Would recommend it for Hakone tourists.

Kana is awesome”
Kana was very friendly and available to all the guests. She helped us getting around and finding the best deal for the Hakone passes. Sometimes she suddenly came by with some snacks we had to taste. She recommended and booked a private onsen which was a nice experience. A thing that could be improved are window blinds, depending on the bed/room the sun wakes you up early in the morning

The staff is so amazing ”
The woman we dealt with was the nicest person I may have ever met. I hurt my back while I was staying here (unrelated to the property) and she offered to drive me to the doctor and ended up giving me patches to put on my back to ease the pain. She gave us personal recommendations for restaurants and was just generally a fantastic person. The hostel property was very old in the best possible way. Like a fine antique. We were very happy here and would stay here again no question. It’s less than a 2 minute walk to the Lawson store and 5 minutes from the train. Perfect location and fantastic vibes. Can’t recommend enough.

Beautiful place & Friendly Staff”
It’s a beautiful hostel and the staff was very kind to help book onsen, recommended places to eat dinner. There are some restaurant open till 8.30pm nearby. He even helped call the onsen to check on something I left behind. Location is great!
