Fantastic experience!

It was an absolute pleasure staying here! My fiance and I were here for a one night stopover on the way to Kyoto. We were blown away by the standard of the room, the service and the quality of the delicious food. Such a fantastic experience in a traditional setting. THANKYOU!

Hopes and expectations exceeded!
Outstanding service, private onsen experience, meals
I was travelling with a friend and colleague, adding a day of relaxation onto a business trip to Tokyo. The friendly welcome we received set the tone for the stay; nothing seemed too much trouble. We found our own way on foot from the station, based on the Google map we printed out in advance - they were surprised we had done this as it was a hilly 15-20 min walk and they could have collected us (how to arrange this in advance was not clear - we would advise future visitors to make contact in advance over this, as less fit travellers might find the walk tiresome with heavy bags). A welcome drink was served in our room, which had views across the valley to the mountains beyond. The private bath in our room was perfect for relaxation (and just big enough for two friends who weren't a couple!) with the same spectacular views. We had a wide choice of our meal time, both for dinner and breakfast. Enough English was spoken for us to be able to understand all we needed. Internet in the room was not good (furthest away from the router I think) but it didn't matter in the slightest as it was excellent in the public area downstairs. When they saw us down there after dinner, they produced cups of tea without being asked (and without charge). There was an espresso machine in our room (a very welcome find, given our lack of enthusiasm for green tea) and supplies of coffee for is seemed to be unlimited, and more fresh towels offered than we needed. They looked after our bags on the day of departure so we could see some of the local sights, and they drove us to the cable car station for our day out as well as taking us to the station at the end of the day, long after we had formally checked out. All in all, a very relaxing and enjoyable way to experience traditional ryokan hospitality in comfort. Having been slightly surprised at the price when I booked, it was clear that you get what you pay for and I ended the stay feeling that it had been very good value for money

Huge room, spectacular food, and awesome staff!
The staff was so incredibly accommodating and helpful, we just loved this place. The meals were excellent, really a 5-star experience. We also loved the views from our corner room and onsen tub.
We loved this ryokan. Will definitely return!
