“Comfortable Stay for 2 Nights”
Would recommend if you're looking for an affordable and comfortable option to stay. The location is good with eateries and popular landmarks such as Jonker Street within walking distance (<1km) Pros: We booked a deluxe double room. Overall the room was clean, bed was comfortable and clean, equipped with basic amenities (toothbrush set, shampoo, body wash, towels..), good water pressure, and the aircond was cold. Check-in and check-out process was also smooth and quick. There is also free parking behind the hotel which was very convenient for us. Cons: Just some things to note. The soundproofing could be better as we could hear people talking in the hallways while we were in our room, as well as dragging noises around morning time. From the bathroom, we could hear people watching a show from the other room, so if you're sensitive to noise it'd be good to keep in mind. The bathroom also had a bit of an unpleasant smell when we first entered. Overall we enjoyed our stay here as it was comfortable and convenient. Would recommend to other travellers~

“A very cheap place to stay”
Hallmark Express Hotel was a great place to stay at during our short trip to Melaka. It was very affordable, and was quite close to the Jonker Street market and other sights in Melaka. The room had two bottles of water and they allowed us to store our bags in the lobby after we checked out (although, the storage location wasn't very secure or hidden). The main issues with this room were largely related to the bathroom. It appeared that it hadn't been cleaned very well, with many dirty marks in lots of very visible places. It also always had a bad smell, but so does Melaka, so it may have been the same smell. There was a pipe in the bathroom that was constantly dripping water on the floor, which meant the floor was always wet. One of the bathroom towels and the bedsheets had stains on them. The room was also a bit noisy due to street traffic. We were on the 3rd floor, which wasn't so bad, but I imagine it'd be much worse on lower floors.

Dear Hotel Management, We are currently staying at your hotel for our holiday and would like to share some feedback on our experience. Firstly, we truly appreciate the excellent service provided by your housekeeping and maintenance teams. They have done a wonderful job in keeping the environment clean and comfortable, and their efforts have not gone unnoticed. However, we did find the front desk/reception staff to be somewhat unfriendly, which affected the warmth of our welcome. As holiday guests, we hope for a more pleasant and inviting atmosphere that encourages us to extend our stay and enjoy your hospitality even more. Thank you for your attention, and we look forward to an improved experience during the rest of our stay.

“Best for Jonker Street visitors with the need to park their vehicle”
Their location is strategic, within walking distance there is the famous Malacca's longkang siham (cockles) in the back alley, there is even a pharmacy, convenient store and also a few eateries nearby. Not to mention it is also located near to the well known Malacca River. And on top of that, they also provide free parking which is a really great addition since you need to pay for parking to park around Malacca town. Highly recommend and would choose this hotel again on my next visit.

“Comfortable Stay.”
A good no frills option if you are spending a night or two in Melaka. The room is comfortable, if a little dated. But the aircon was excellent, the bed comfortable and the shower was great. The WiFi also worked well. The staff were friendly and its only a few minutes walk to all the main sites.
