Great potential, but...”
Halo Guest House is in a great location - it is close to lively streets, restaurants, the river and the Citadel - but on small cosy street, so no noise, only relaxing sounds :) Also, Halo is not crowded. It has great potential - rooms are spacious, and they have great big balconies. Unfortunately, the guest house is neglected, sluttish even... - dilapidated, not very clean, especially bathrooms. If only one could refresh the rooms, paint them etc. - it would be a gem! At the moment it is just good value for money (as it is very cheap!). One more thing - the stuff is almost always absent ;) But, if you need help or information - neighbours are there all the time, and they are kind and helpful, as most of Vietnamese are.

You get what you pay for! We were pleasantly surprised however, it’s not as bad as some reviews here state. For the price - it’s a great deal! The location is awesome, the room was big and the water pressure (with hot water) was really good. There was a guy in the reception at all times, so it went smooth to check in etc. Not the cleanest, but not dirty. It is cleaned - just maybe not with the biggest entusiasm. Would just have wished they could offer hot water for making tee and coffee in the mornings. We had to go to other hotels next door to get hot water. All in all though - good value for money! Would stay again

Good room for the price. It's a bit further from the center so the prices are lower, but it's far from the main locations. You can walk there from the bus station in half an hour. The room was ok. For the aircon they charge more so if you want to stick to the price from the agoda website just tell that you don't want the aircon. Besides it was ok.

This guest house should not be operated”
This guest house is old and dirty, not the same like in the photo. Full of dust. We checked into the room at level 1 and noticed the other two rooms are in a mess. No hot water. When we arrived, there were three men in the lobby area. They seem not to expect and surprised with our arrival. We knew the price is cheap but at least the cleanliness comes first.

They advertise complimentary tea, coffee, kettle, none which were available. The room was filthy, seriously dirty, bin in bathroom was full to the brim, the whole bathroom was dirty, I made a point of going to ask for it to be cleaned. Under the beds hadn't been cleaned ever I don't think. TV broken, he brought a replacement with no remote, no seating area as advertised, the one chair had the TV on. Pool view room was a view of another hotels pool, sheets stained.....I could go on. The staff don't seem to care, that's if they are there at all. Good location, but better places to stay for the same price. Don't go there

Shocking cleanliness and the place is falling apart”
Let me put forth the facts and you can make up your own mind about this place. 1st room: stank of cigarette smoke, I later noticed alot of the smell came from the blanket, what does that tell you. Rat/mouse poo in the bath room, tiny mite-like bugs in the room and bathroom, blackened cobwebs in the feeling corners. I subsequently complained and apologetically they gave me another room... Room 2: on entering I noticed a smell of suphur. At 3am the smell got so bad it woke me up, it could only be described as a rotting sewage. I opened the window and door and this helped a bit. At 4 am it got even worse. I ended up leaving the room and sleeping on a park bench!!! No kidding, it was unbelievable. When I returned to complete my ablutions in the morning I found more rat/mouse poo in the bathroom and those pesky bugs again.

Strange place. We stayed just one night. There was no personal when we wanted to check out. The bath wasn't really clean at all. Seems more then a hall of residence then a guesthouse. Spend 2$ more an search a better place.

Nous avons passées une nuit dans cet hôtel, Certe nous avons payé la nuit que 3€ seulement mais j’estime avoir le droit à une chambre propre (poil sur les toilettes, seulement les draps ont été changer mais pas de ménage de fait avant notre arrivée c’est certain) et du personnel sympathique. Pas un bonjour, rien de la part du personnel même quand mon amie leur dit hello d’une voix enjouée, pas un regard ni un bonjour. Cependant l’hôtel était calme.

Une guest house située dans une petite ruelle loin de la pollution sonore de la route ! Le seul bruit que vous pouvez entendre est celui de la personne qui vient ramasser les poubelles ou alors les marchands ambulants qui viennent vendre leurs fruits. excellent rapport qualité/prix ça défie toute concurrence. le personnel est extrêmement chaleureux et au petit soin pour les clients. Je recommande vivement cette guest house, quel que soit la raison de votre visite à hué.

Gutes Zimmer und gute Lage”
Wir waren im Dreibettzimmer mit Balkon. Das Zimmer war ok, ruhig und sauber. Man ist im direkt bei der Strasse wo abends etwas läuft. Das Personal war sehr freundlich aber die Rezeption wurde nicht immer bedient. Wer bock auf Pool hat kann denjenigen des benachbarten Hotels für 40'000 Dong benutzen. Sehr zum weiterempfehlen.
