Great Experience”
I’ve been to Ha Long Bay 4 other times but this was the first overnight cruise experience. The ship felt very luxurious and our room was clean with a beautiful balcony view of Ha Long Bay at all times. The food and activities set were great. The entire crew was awesome and attentive. We had such a great time, we’ve recommended to all of our friends and family. I can forget the super fun slide! We went down it a few times. Never imagined sliding into Ha Long Bay. The staff are amazing and really look after you and get to know you and remember your names! Rooms are beautiful, big and clean. So much food and it’s healthy and fresh. I’m veggio and they went out of their way to look after me even though I was quite happy with the buffet food. Only thing was the gym was not a gym. One treadmill and one bike that’s it. Def need to put some $$ into that. Apart from that it was super amazing!!

Tom, the cruise manager, is great! He is always around to answer queries and help with requests! Cabins are very spacious cabins with big balcony and bath tub! Among the many activities, most exciting feature is the slide that bounce us into the sea in 1.5 second from a height of about 2 storeys! It’s like playing in a theme park! Only Capella Cruise has this! Next the seafood buffet is very sumptuous and delicious. The other highlight is catching sunrise and sunset! Amazing!

Great experience on board, less desirable experience for our transportation back to Ha Noi”
The experience onboard the cruise was great. All the facilities on board were fairly well kept, but you can tell that the passenger turn-around on board is frequent, due to the fact that the rooms aren't as clean as what you would expect from a five star hotel. The food was great for all meals, expect buffet style for all, other then the dinner. If you're drinkers, l'd recommend bringing some of your own beer/wine/liquor with you as it's much cheaper when purchased off the ship. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming which makes the stay pleasant. However, I wouldn't expect this to be a "party" type crowd on the cruise, unlike some of your smaller/cheaper cruises. So if that's what you're looking for, this probably isn't the right choice. I'd recommend staying in Hanoi the night prior and using a limousine bus service the morning of the cruise to get to ha long. We stayed the night before in Halong, and procuring our own transportation from the Hanoi airport the day prior was kind of stressful, with nothing booked prior. The reason I'm not giving 5 stars for our experience was due to the transportation service we booked through cappella for our return to Ha Noi. The cruise line forgot that we had booked through them, and we ended up waiting about 1.5 hours after we disembarked for another form of transportation. We ended up on another cruise lines bus, which was not a limo bus that we had paid for. We paid 50$ for transportation on a bus that others were riding for free. The bus had no air conditioning and was packed tight. I would have rather spent the additional 30$ for a private car back to Ha Noi. Luckily the passengers on the bus were very nice people. I'm hoping this was a one off situation, but I'm not very happy about paying $50 for transportation that really should have cost us 12$.

Amazing service, clean and new boat”
Tom our cruise manager as well as all the staff members are very friendly and very helpful. They are always there to help us carry the bags, attend to all our needs and serve us food and drinks. I thought the no-money poker game is going to be boring, but it was great fun with a fun “punishment” for the losers.

The goods: - Well organized cruise. Room and cruise ship offer excellent facilities and activities. The not-so-goods: - Drinks during happy hour are expensive and very weak in alcohol content. And only mixed drinks are offered no cold beers. - Visiting the cave was disappointed due to high water in early morning. As such, row boats cannot enter the cave. - Dinner a bit of disappointment with set menu. Given the cost of the cruise, this should be better and more selections. Regrettably dinner was not one of the highlights of the cruise. Overall, Ha Long Bay is as beautiful as ever to visit, Capella Cruise is one of the top choices of many cruise lines there.

Halong bay is a must visit”
We chose Capella after doing lots of research and viewing videos becos of the room layout. The beds face the balcony and looks out into the amazing views of Halong Bay. The food was great, staff friendly and there were many activities to do. most memorable was Tom, Cruise Manager he made sure to take care of the group of passengers onboard. We arranged for shuttle with Capella to bring us from old quarters to the pier, very convenient. i only didn’t like the stop at the pearl factory but it seemed like it was a pit-stop for all shuttles. you can get coffee there.

Halong Bay & cruise are underrated”
It may be commercialized, but this is my second time doing a 2D1N Halong Bay cruise. Room size, cruise deco, scenery, food and staffs’ service were way above expectations. Love all the meals provided. Vietnamese food is both healthy and super tasty. In fact I grew to like Viet food more than Thai food. Halong Bay is surreal. I can stare and amaze at the beauty of the thousands of limestone islands for days if time permits.

If you are looking for a relaxing time in Lan Ha Bay, Capella Cruise is for you. Itinerary is more relaxed and facilities onboard are quite unique. Crew members were polite, smiley and proactive. Appreciated the small surprise the crew prepared for us to celebrate our anniversary. However, there are signs of wear and tear perhaps despite being a new ship. For now, it is still amazing while it last.
