The tour guide Vu was amazing & entertaining! The overall trip was great value for money as the 2D trip went busy in all the activities they had arranged for us. Food looked great but I had some dietary reservations being a Muslim, hence ate barely. This field needs attention but I didn’t mind not having proper meals for a day, as finding certified halal food in Vietnam is extremely difficult, let alone on a cruise trip. Pleasant experience over all.

Perfect amount of time and luxury”
This was a perfect trip in that the time was long enough but not too long. The boat was clean with nice rooms and a great shower. AC went on and off depending on the power needed by the boat which was understandable. The organized hike, kayak, and swims were beautiful and again.. the perfect amount of time. Food was good as well. It's not worth paying for any higher end cruise, this has everything you need and more.

Delicious foods, many selections, i had informed them in advance that i only eat chicken, and they made couple of different chicken dishes for me at every meal time, not small dishes, they made always more than enough. Guide was very good, helpful, great English.

One of the cheaper cruise experience for Halong Bay visit. Can't compare to those expensive cruise experience, generally I don't have much complain about it. Main highlight are the Halong Bay views and Titop hill, cave visits and kayaking. For those budget conscious, it was a good option. Opt for their bus ride that pickup at Old Quarter to Halong Bay ferry point which cost USS`15 both way. Journey was 2.5hrs journey.

Nice cruise but better not to be too picky on cleanliness. The pictures are much nicer than the reality. But it is one of the cheapest. The personnel is nice and pleasant and the food is good.

The condition of the boat a bit old. There is no hairdryer, wifi in the properties as listed in the facilities list. The aircon will off itself during midnight and need to wake up to turn it on.

Although the food was nice, the boat was in very poor shape. The staff where largely inattentive, preferring to watch football and movies loudly on their phone on the deck, acting more like guests rather than staff. The room again was in need of refurbishment, they only let you put the aircon on when they wanted, and the fan didnt work. The nice food was overshadowed by the small of diesel fumes pouring into the cabin. I would recommend paying a little more money and getting a quality service.

Bar tab system a disaster. Charged twice for one bill and never got the happy hour 2for 1 promised. Pay cash immediately or avoid completely. Left a bad taste at end of cruise.

Our three-day, two night cruise was cut short by one day due to the approaching Typhoon Mangkhut in September 2018. Although we were disappointed, there were several upsides. Our guide, Ken, did his best to include as many of the planned activities in the shortened time we had. When we visited the famous “Surprise Cave” during our final morning, our group of 15 were the only visitors — we literally had the cave to ourselves as the coming storm evidently scared everyone else away. The shortened schedule was not a surprise, as we had been tracking the storm as it headed towards Southeast Asia. At the outset of the cruise, I received a phone call from Agoda informing me that Halong Legacy had instructed them to refund 50% of the cost of our cruise. Good service and a completely fair outcome. We had one of the 4 larger cabins on the 2nd deck of the Halong Legacy Legend boat (recommended), which was very comfortable. Food was abundant, and mostly good quality.

Halong Legacy Cruise is a smaller cruise in comparison to many cruises out there, but it has got it's benefit of being small. It travels on a slightly different route where big cruises might find it difficult to enter. Service is top notched! However, the first room which was given to us was near the generator room, and when the cruise isnt moving, it cause really dramatic vibration to the windows making noises. This issue was resolved by transferring us to the rooms at the upper deck. Overall, great experience.

Very welcoming and fun”
Firstly it was not luxurious but my husband and I were okay with that as main goal was to experience Halong Bay. We had 2 French couples, a Spanish couple and two Bangladeshi guys join us on the cruise. The host (forgot his name) made our stay special and upgraded us to upper level room and gave complimentary wine because it was our honeymoon. He was very kind and informative. We ate a lot of food with lot of left overs! Comfortable stay. Jumped off boat from upper level into the water.. scary but fun! Went kayaking through lots of caves. Squid fishing. it was full moon on Sept 5 2017 so lots of critters in water which was cool to see. Fun speed boat ride to the main boat in Lan Ha Bay. We booked transfer to and from our Hotel in Hanoi and the service was great. Most cruises are the same so why pay more for similar experience! A+
