Chose the 2 day / 1 night cruise. The food was good and plentiful, the rooms were clean and spacious,the staff were very friendly and fun ... activities offered both days ... kayaking, hiking or just relaxing in the sun. The passengers were mixed ages ranging from 20 something to 60 something ... everyone was friendly ...would recommend this cruise

We got picked up from hotel in Hanoi old quarter, arrived the cruise with a warm welcome from the cruise staff. Room is clean, staffs are helpful and very polite. Happy with the experience in general.

They emailed us the night before saying that our boat wasn’t able to cruise but offered us an upgraded room on a boat of the same standard, and it was great! I feel like this is common in low season - they need to ensure boats are full, so if one is half empty, they move people to comparable, or better boats. We ended up cruising on Royal Palace, and were very happy! Our guide Phong was the best!

The tour guide Mr Dinh Long Duy was excellent and responsibilities. Our cruise was upgrade to premiums room. The cruise same as the photo shown. The activities is good and punctual as planed. The disadvantage on the cruise is the drinks not provided even the minerals water need to paid and the transportation from Hanoi to the cruise also not provided and need to paid.

Well maintained , clean, great crew”
Pros - Great service from the waiters and housekeeping staff. Very clean and well maintained ship. Our room was great but the couple at room 305 had a clogged toilet and leaky bath tub during their stay. Cons - Island tours are pretty much DIY. The ship drops you off at the island and pick you up after. I saw other ships had their guide with them explaining the site and walking them through the caves. Food onboard is mostly western and quite good except for the buffet on the last day which was average.

enjoyed everything on the boat! food was delicious and definitely enough to keep you full. i was never hungry during my stay on the boat. they even asked us if we wanted 2nd helping for the main course. however drinks are not free except the morning coffee/tea. activities are fun and guide was very friendly. :) thank u.

3 day 2 nights”
Itinerary may not be as advertised. When we showed up in low season(May) the boat filled with one night passengers and us. Therefore the boat did not travel as far as we hoped and itinerary changes. On second day we were off loaded on to a day ship and repeated kayaking and pearl farm. Same as day one. We did go to a different cave (fairy cave). The day boat was relaxing on the water. We met up with our sleeping boat around 4 pm. They had gone back to harbour and picked up 20 new guests. Day boat is no air conditioning and not as luxurious as I felt I paid for on silver seas. I mentioned my concerns and the supervisor stated this is how they have done it for three years he worked there. I don’t doubt Mr Powers I was just given bad information off booking site so be pre warned. The staff and food are exceptional

We had an absolute amazing time on silversea with our tour guide tony !! He made sure everyone is having a good time. He always invited you to the many activities they offered but it was up to you to join. The crew on board is so nice and makes the short trip very special. Tony always ensured we weren’t with the whole Buch of tourists and thus we almost had private tours wherever he brought us. He was so kind and made us feel very comfortable. Would book it again any time but only with our lovely tour guide tony

Food are good, lots of variety. Presentations are awesome. Crews are accomodating. Big rooms, comfortable bed. Only thing is they give 2 small bottles of water each day, the rest u got to pay for it.

The pick-up was on time even though we were not being contacted in the morning. The mini bus has less space between legs, ok for us but not for the tall guys. It's worth the trip to Halong Bay, stunning view regardless the weather. Best moment for us was the kayaking you are free to kayak as far as you could to enjoy quietness at the calming sea surrounded by limestones. We were given the 4th floor room with private deck, lucky us and you won't feel like sailing on the sea. Ti Top Island was flooded with tourists that was scary. Lastly, we have to thank the crew for not pushing us for buying drinks like some other reviews mentioned. Overall great trip with this company.

Chose the 3d2n option. However, will prefer the 2d1n option instead because that itenerary on day 2 is almost non existent. Kayaking (same as day1) and visit to a smaller cave. Ok for people who just wants to relax, but will be very boring for those who wants adventure. The pick up from hotel was late for 1 hour. Was asked to wait at hotel lobby at 7.45am, bus came at 8.45am. Overall the experience on the boat itself and the crew/ tour guide was very good. They were very friendly and did their best! All drinks on board is chargeable except a bottle of water daily. But the feeling is the company is not good at organising logistics/activities and out to maximise profits without providing value. Will definitely consider other cruises instead if I have the option. The only positive things were the people and the room interior is quite nice.

I had booked this cruise as a gift for my parents, it was a great stay. We are pure vegetarians. The food was made specially for us and great like the master chef food. The itinerary was good, but I was disappointed by the way the host and manager asked my parents not to go to Surprising cave as they are elderly. I have read about th Surprising cave and booked the Cruise only after that. The manager made fun of my parents that there is only one way to get in and come out of the cave . My parents are elderly but they are fit enough to walk. The manager asked to come back within an hour, we rushed and my parents were able to complete. Why can't you give 1.5 hours to look around and enjoy the cave when th group has elderly people? Disappointed that the staff don't care about parents. We have spent lots of money and come thousands of miles away to enjoy Halong bay and Surprising cave. On the last day the guy at the counter was very arrogantly asking money for the soft drinks and then the host sent us in Fantasea cruise bus who were very rude and shouting at us. Why didn't u send us in Silversea bus which had great staff and which was given in pickup?

The Tour Guide(Mr. Lucky) Is Great, very attentive, helpful & so detail. Would recommend a friend for this trip. They upgrade us from deluxe room to jacuzzi room, what a surprise. Food is nice overall stay fantastic.

Boring. Bad weather”
Shuttle from old qtr to the port charged USD20 per trip. Aircon is ok, seats are a bit old but ok for me. We booked 2D1N, but ended up day trip due to weather condition. We were told their government announcement about no cruise is allowed to stay overnight while the shuttle reached the port. No alternate hotel room is arranged, and we have to make our own arrangement for that night. They promised to refund 50%. That's it. Lunch was ok, portion is small. After lunch, taking some photographs and we were sent back to the port. That's it. No cave tour, no other activities at cruise. Boring...

The beach we were taken to was absolutely packed! The cave tour was just the same. You couldn’t enjoy the trip with that many people within cm of everywhere you stand. However boat was great. Great food staff and room. Shame the trip was ruined by the amount of people being shipped to one location at the same time

1st Timer to Halong”
Overall I am satisfied with the service and arrangements. The weather was very wet & cold. To add on for list of improvement are the night dinner should have a MC light up the holiday mood with activities , KARAOKE competitions and some games....
