It is a nice place.Good AC,so cool ,dark,and quiet.What I need for a good night sleep. Bed was large for even 2 people-just 1 and comfortable.Room was small but OK. Only complaint is the step up to the bathroom was high. Staff was great.Breakfast was included in the price and was good Japanese style.Very close to the subway,Science museum,and Art museum. All kinds of food near by. Osu temple flea market was short taxi ride. was cheap and will stay again next year.

Perfect place to stay”
Hamilton Black is a perfect place. Affordable but cleanliness was never compromised. Rates include buffet breakfast and free unlimited wine, beer and sake during happy hour (6pm~8pm). Less than 5min walk to Fushimi Station Subway(1 station from Nagoya station/JR Rail). Short walk going to Osu Shopping Area. Airport Limousine Bus from the airport to the Hamilton Black Hotel is across the street, and bus stop going back to the airport is less than 50meters on the left side of the hotel. This is very helpful when you have so many luggages, no need to take the train. Yoshinoya is in front of the hotel, 7-eleven, Family Mart and Lawson are all walking distance from the hotel. Most especialy, hotel staff were very hospitable and nice.

I stay for a night. This hotel is value for money. There's no parking on site but you can find parking lot around the area. Location is good, not too far from shopping street. The room cleanliness and facilities is good. The staff is very friendly. You'll get free breakfast which is good. Recommended.

Nice place, good price”
I liked staying here. Here were some perks: + Very kind and helpful front desk staff + Free self-service welcome drink, which includes alcohol if you want it. "Free self-service alcohol" is like an automatic 5 stars for me, but I'll continue + Free breakfast (not extremely fancy, but again, free!) + Good location! Close to Shirakawa Park, which has some museums, and if you take a left out of the hotel and walk about ten minutes, you'll reach a big party area + Room is small, but nice and quiet enough to get some rest in!

very warm and nice when arriving the reception, and already put my luggage into the room. Since a lot of bags to be put into the room, the girl at the reception mainly reminded me of the luggage and gave me the room key, while forgot to ask me to pay. After I finished packing the stuff in the room and wend down to pay, the girl felt very sorry to make me come down again. The service was very warm, making me feel sorry that I did not make the payment at first. Overall, leaving me very deep impression. Also during the breakfast, they are very gentle and friendly to help in case anything cannot be found.

Very nice staff and reception, when welcoming the guests. Very friendly to welcome you in the morning time for breakfast. The location is good, that it is close to Sakae, and close the subway station, and there is a cozy shops selling lunch set in the store.

we stayed for 2days and i think we paid just enough for the stay. breakfast is just fine, vegetable curry rice, breads and mixed fruits. it’s enough food to jump start your day. happy hour between 6-8pm, free drinks wine, whiskey and sake. room is small and clean.

Close enough to main station”
Its located near Fushimi Subway station which are one station away from Nagoya station. So still good location. Breakfast okay and room are old but clean. Staff are very helpfull

The happy hour is the best service of this hotel. It's free. Everyday from 6pm to 8pm drinks and snacks are available at lobby. Sake, red wine, white wine, whiskey, gin, coffee, chocolate, and corn soup, all of them are unlimited!!!!!!!

Overall 4/5 except a couple of minus points”
The hotel was alright except for 2 points: the ashtray was right outside the door which made the lobby smell of smoke. Not a good place to relax. The sink tap and shower tap were the same 1 hot and 1 cold water taps, which was inconvenient, but more so was the water temperature needing to be adjusted every time you take a shower. A waste of water. I can tolerate that but not the lobby smoke smell. That being said the location is good, and the free happy hour is great. it includes coffee, tea, sweet iced tea, corn soup, beer, spirits, mixers, and nuts. free breakfast was also great, with bread, rice, and things to go with those. i would spend a bit more for a different hotel because of the smoke smell.

I stayed here 3 nights and overall was great. The hotel is in a good location where I can easily get to Osu, Sakae and Nagoya Station area. Also, there's a bus stop for Chubu Centrair Shuttle just almost right in front of the hotel. Staffs are professional and well service. The room I stayed was well decorated and cosy. Breakfast and Happy Hour were the bonus.

A quiet little place”
With the Science Museum and Osu Market nearby, the hotel is not far away from most tourist attractions. The room looks rather small, even in Japanese scale, partly because the bed is rather large. However, being treated with the above-average Japanese standards of hospitality, cleanliness, plus a decent breakfast, what more can I ask?

pretty good but needs improvement”
My only critiques of this hotel is that there is a lack of privacy-the walls were thin and we could hear our neighbours. Also, the rooms were very small and could barely fit in two people with luggages. Lastly, the facilities were worn out/old. Overall, the Hamilton Hotel Black was quite good and i would recommend it to friends.
