The Hampshire Hotel was very easy to locate from the Durban King Shaka Airport. Just off the N2. Restaurants and shopping mall within 3-5 minutes drive. Clean, spacious and lots of amenities including a great breakfast! Would definitely stay there again if I return to Ballito, South Africa.

Not a bad Hotel. BUT !!! The RESTAURANT'S DECOR is HORRIBLE. OWNERS PLEASE FIX THIS! The owners don't understand WESTERN STYLE decor. The Restaurant would make us not stay here again. TOO COLD & CLINICAL. TERRIBLE COLOURS.

We used the hotel as it was close to an event we were attending. The rooms were clean and neat. Service can be bumped up as it seemed there were not enough staff The manager was helpful and was quick to resolve our problem with the room. We had asked and paid extra for a view.

Noisy aircon and very strong smelling cleaning liquid made hayfever a problem in the room ”
the aircon was very noisy and the unit sounded like it was driven by a V8 engine. I left my PC charger in the room by mistake and called later in the day to inquire. Housekeeping we very good in following up with the room cleaning staff however it was not to be found. Very disappointing that guests belongings go missing so soon after vacating a room. I visited the hotel the next day and had the same result. Staff at least followed up on my call but I will not be staying here again

Cleanliness is horrible!The toilet pan was broken and clearly hadn't been cleaned for a long time ,had lots of stains. Wifi didn't work. When we enquired about wifi, we were told they are experiencing issues with wifi connection for the past 2 weeks. They are aware of the issue but still choose to give out wifi password to guests. It was a very uncomfortable stay! Not impressed at all....especially after a long flight.

Comfotable hotel but curious location”
The hotel is just off the north coast highway at Ballito, some 50km from Durban. It is visible from the highway, which is an advantage as it is easy to find, and I was impressed by the fact that highway noise was virtually non-existent in the hotel. The reception was warm and friendly, the room was very comfortable (particularly the bed!) and my only gripes were a somewhat noisy air-conditioner and a restricted number of TV channels. Some may find the location 'interesting' - the sea is over the hill, and instead the hotel is in an industrial estate. The view at breakfast of a fork-lift moving pallets of bricks was - well, different!

wonderful service with friendly faces”
i enjoyed my stay at hampshire hotel. i had gone for my graduation at regent business school so after a hectic day and also a long flight all i needed was a nice quiet and peaceful place for rest. hamshire became the perfect place for me and my wife. i enjoyed the scenery and we had a walk in the area so it is a perfect location as well. the staff were very helpful in organising a shuttle service for our travels. generally they made my stay in south africa enjoyful. thank you

Surpassed expectations”
My previous visit to the hotel was marred by inefficient front desk staff over December 2012. But this visit has surpassed my expectations. The staff were amazingly helpful, efficient and friendly. Check in was so quick which was really appreciated after a long journey. The room was big and comfortable and so were the beds. Well done Hampshire hotel - keep it up. I look forward to my next stay.

Hampshire Hotel, as usual does not disappoint, the room i was allocated was missing a bar fridge; the reservations relocated me. However, I hope that do attend to the small details eg. the bar fridge in the room, kettle was missing in the new room.

Best room but no dining space”
The hotel is located in an very quiet area that is good for holiday and relaxing, the rooms are well prepared to the highest standard and the high level beds makes it superb. The temperature is digitally auto controlled to your desired temperature. The only thing that need improvement is their breakfast area, its a big hotel,lots of guests, the area is too small for the for the guests the hotel can accomodate. there is an quite a lot of parking, no problem. it is now one of the best hotel i have ever visited and i can recomend to my friand and coleagues.
