Hampton Inn Review ”
I stayed at this hotel during my trip to Amelia Island. You can park in the lot or across the street in another lot. They have plenty of shopping and restaurants within walking distance. They are literally around the corner from the tourist information center. Go in and ask for Pam. She will provide you with a wealth of information on things to do. Hampton Inn has frees breakfast which is just ok. The ladies working were very nice. The hotel desk hummmm. Upon arrival due to my flight I was really early so the room wasn't ready. I left my name and name so they could call (which they never did). I returned at 2pm and I saw them checking in a couple hummmmmm. I went to the desk and she called and my room received a final check and I was given the key. The front desk staff don't greet people as they come and go. They will actually sit to the right out of view. I noticed this when I came back in the evenings. Housekeeping service was really good thanks Tawanda.

Absolute worst service ever. Was charged for my room 3 different times after bringing up the issue to them 3 different times. They are a bunch of scammers. Never stay here!

A Charming and Perfectly Located Inn ”
This may be a Hampton Inn, but clearly they have made an effort to incorporate some of the elements that make the local B&B's so successful. On top of friendly and accommodating staff, the entry has some lovely design details like a circular staircase, fireplace and nautical compass ceiling mural that give the place a lot of warmth and charm. That local charm blended with the comfort, amenities and familiarity of a traditional hotel experience makes this into a really relaxing stay. The stellar element of this hotel however has to be the location. It provides you easy and free parking in downtown Fernandina, and is extremely walkable. Right out the front door are many charming locations, and any where else you may want to go are only a few blocks away. Even if you wanted to take a trip to the beach, it would be a short 8 minute drive or uber ride. This was my second stay in this Hampton, and I have never had anything other than a positive experience.
