Great hotel and location, but beware..”

This hotel is very nice and clean. The location is perfect, right off the parkway but on a road with very little traffic. The room is a nice size, the high ceilings give it a different feel. Check in and check out were quick and efficient. The breakfast bar was great as well. The bathroom has full sized bath products (hand soap, shampoo, etc) in pump bottles
There isn't a lot of lighting in the room. Just 2 lights by the bed and a light on the desk. The bed wasn't the most comfortable, very firm. I can deal with both of those things. The only "bad" thing that happened was our sliding shower door came off it's track after my husband had a shower. Therefore I was unable to use the shower on our stay. I informed the desk receptionist of the issue when were checking out and she said she would inform maintenance about it, but nothing else was done. I even informed her that it was an inconvenience to me not being able to use the shower. No "so sorry that happened", no discount offered, nothing but "would you like a hard copy of your receipt or just email copy". Just beware of the fact they don't care if you have an issue when you stay, they truly don't care

I've been coming since you open 2 x a year. Was disappointed on how fast thing are getting run down. 1st room door did not lock, the other room had no strike plate in door. Lots of mold in shower. A/C was very loud. Pool was closed ( totally understand it may have needed maintenance.

The room was nice and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was okay. Only had eggs and sausgae that was cooked.
The shower did not drain. Was told there was a $25 a day incidental charge but they ended up charging me an extra $75 on top of the $25 and I only stayed 1 day. When brought up to the manager he said it was $50 a day and that is not what was told to me when I checked in. I ended up getting charged an extra $100 total and ended up having to talk to my bank because the hotel staff didn't know what happened.

The light above the mirror didn't work. The air conditioning in the room was set to 65 full blast when we got there. It was freezing. The entirety of the 3rd floor windows were covered in bees.

It was nice to have an indoor pool at the hotel as well as a complimentary breakfast.
I called ahead of time to check-in early because I was in town for a funeral. I talked to the manager who informed me at 8am that morning that my room as already clean and it would be fine to check in early. I arrived at noon and talked to the same person who told me then that my room was not clean. I came back at 1pm and was told that my room was still not cleaned. It was just unfortunate and annoying that I was given false information over the phone.
