Wonderful experience”
This guesthouse was a wonderful experience. The facilities are clean and well-maintained. Small details make this place stand out. There are clear labels on the heating system so anyone can figure out how to use the ondol. The color themed room is fun. There is enough space for each person to hang their towel and jackets. All of the towels are different colors so everyone can tell whose towel is whose. It has a great view of the city. Popcorn and Candy come to greet you. Electric bed pads to keep you warm. Electronic locks so you don’t have to worru about keeping track of keys while you’re out. One of the people in my group has bad knees and someone else in my group injured their knee on an earlier trip so we were all very pleased that the building has an elevator and that the guesthouse offers a pick-up and drop-off service to the nearest subway station (the guesthouse is up a steep hill so the car service was a godsend). The staff communicates well and are very thoughtful.

Great Value and Great Place”
I stayed in an 8 in a room listing, but we were only 4 at the time, and everyone was nice. Staff are very friendly and accommodating and even offered free pick-up from Mapo station. The place itself is great, with good and clean facilities. Rooms are heated, and there is heating pad on the bed. Bunk befs have curtains for privacy and own lamps inside. Free toiletries and free breakfast. Only concern is the location. The place is 600m away from the station, but the main concern is that to get to the guesthouse, you need to walk up a steep road. So this listing is not for families and older group of people.

The staffs are very nice and friendly, especially Kyle and Ericot. They take care of us and teach me how to use the facilities in the guesthouse. It was so nice to meet them and I think I will stay in this guesthouse again. This is the lovely and comfortable guesthouse I stayed since I had visited to seoul eight times already. Although we needed to walk through the slope when we were back to the guesthouse, I think it is not problem for me to pick up this guesthouse again. Highly recommended Han River Residence and Guesthouse!

Just you make sure that you inform the property to fetch you from Gongdeok station or Mapogu. Their pick up service is free. The place was situated uphill and it is very tiresome to walk along the steepy road.

Room size’s bigger than many hotels in Seoul. All staffs’re very kind. Even though there’s the road slope on the way to guesthouse but they’ve pick-up service from subway. Good service.

The location requires a steep, uphill walk, although they will provide shuttle service to the Geongdyuk metro stop - when they’re available. There are no interesting restaurants or shops within walking distance. The property is unique and has a real cozy, family atmosphere, but the uphill walking with young kids wasn’t ideal. We ordered pizza instead of venturing out.

Booked guesthouse for party of 6 (family) with young children. Near Mapo station however on a pretty steep hill so the commute can be difficult if you are old or very young. The guesthouse attendant offers pick up and drop off at either Mapo or Gongdoek station so it was convenient and also will drive you the station upon request. The common room facility for morning breakfast is self service (cook yourself) and wash your dishes upon completion - room has a kitchen so you can also cook within your unit. In room wireless is good, bath shower is good.. had a great time.

Han River Guesthouse its a nice and superb place to stay because have sweet design as 'Home Sweet Home'. This guesthouse manage by sweet couple who provide us very good services as willing to help for every single matters if we face problem to tour around seoul. Besides They provide free pick up to and from between subway and guesthouse during check in and check out. Money always proportional to services. In seoul there sure have cheaper guesthouse but i believe the services is not there. Anyway in overall the price is reasonable and i would also recommend my friend or family to stay here if they plan to tour around seoul. Han River Guesthouse you are the BEST :)!!!!!!

Highly recommended for solo travellers”
The guesthouse is located in a quiet, uphill neighborhood of Mapo. Nearest subway station is Mapo (exit 3). I really appreciated their free pick up and drop off service which saved me from the hassle of lugging around my luggage to and from the subway station. The room was spacious, complete with a small kitchen, bathroom and heated beds. The free breakfast was also nice. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay at Han River Guesthouse and I would surely stay here the next time I visit Korea.

Great Place to Stay”
I love this Guesthouse for its super cool and artsy design. Its clean too and the neighborhood is super quiet so its very relaxing. Great view of the Han River as well! The price is very reasonable and its near the Subway Station (Mapo, Line 5). And lastly, the staff are great! You will feel like you're just in a friend's house :) Will definitely go back! I'm Chalermpun from Thailand. We(6 person) stay at han river guesthouse between June, 20-23 in 6 bed in 1 bedroom. We very happy to stay in the guesthouse. The owner was very kind. He give us a warm welcoming. He pick up us from the MRT Station everyday. The decoration of the guesthouse are perfectly. Bedroom was clean, comfortable and fully facilities . If I went to korea next time, I will stay at han river again. Thank you for everything.

The staff providing a very convenience transportation during our stay even the location of the guesthouse is a bit far from the subway station. Wonderful guesthouse”
I stayed in the guesthouse for 7 days with my two daughters (aged 6 and 13). The room (large for 4 persons) is clean and amazing, with a sitting room and an open kitchen (commonly used by other two rooms). It was close to the Mapo Subway surrounded by restaurants. It was managed by a couple, a lady and a man assistant (also a puppy). All treated you as friends and gave you feeling at home. They picked up us at Subway by car. We played board games and had hot drink at the common area on ground floor. The guesthouse had a rooftop garden. We joined a New Year Eve party with a band playing Korean pop music. I thanked the lady assistant to company my daughter, who originally went outside alone at evening, for 3-4 hours in her own expenses, until I met my daughter. It is better than many star hotels. I highly recommended this guesthouse to anyone who wanted unforgettable holidays.
