Loved this hotel!”
This has been our favourite place so far after travelling Asia for 10 weeks. All the staff were very friendly, greeted you everytime, helped you with anything you needed and were constantly looking after the grounds. The location was great, 1 minute walk to the beach, albeit this is the rocky beach it looks amazing at sunset when the tide goes out! There are plenty of places to eat, we mainly ate along the road rather than the beach and the food was really good and good value for money. You can rent a scooter for 200baht per day which we did for two of the days to explore the island and it was so much fun. The room we had was a comfortable size, had a refrigerator, bottled water and a hot shower. We loved Koh Lanta so much and this hotel, and the people in it and surrounding it were a big reason why. Would reccomend this hotel to everyone we know and will definitely be back!

Quiet, Clean, Large, New, Bungalows”
This is a nice place, run by some equally nice people. It' a two minute walk to the beach but not on it and amazingly quiet and secluded from everything else nearby. (And there is much nearby). If you're traveling solo it may be a bit too quiet. For a couple I think it would be great. Regardless, I doubt you will find better accomodations for the price on Koh Lanta.

amazing place, great location and excellent value”
We had such a lovely stay it was like stumbling upon heaven after a few days in busy Ao Nang, Ko lanta is a lovely chilled out slice of paradise! Matcha resort is very new hence the lack of reviews but it was so lovely here, we extended our stay to 5 days instead of 2 as it was so nice here. They provided us with breakfast every day, helped us arrange trips and rented a motorbike, service was excellent and very friendly, the nicest place we have stayed so far in our 3 weeks round thailand, wish we didn't have to leave!

Excellent! ”
Our stay was brilliant! Beautifully set out, big rooms with a fridge and a few English channels on the tv! Unfortually, we went during low season, which literally means nothing is open!! It rained for the 5 days solid, and with only a few places open, we ended up going to 7/11 way to often! I would suggest that koh lanta during low season should be missed, but if you like having no one around then this is the place for you!

active holiday, tranquility, rocky beaches”
We enjoyed staying at the hotel inspite of the frequent loud mullah's speeches and weak air-conditioner. The island Lanta is worth your attention for sure! It shows entirely different Thailand in comparison with other regions. I strongly recommend to rent a bike/car to explore Koh Lanta. Otherwise you are to spend too much money for tuk-tuk (taxi). IMHO the island is not intended for permanent beach holiday because the majority of the beaches are too rocky to relax in the sea.

Peaceful, friendly and covenient”
We loved our stay in January. The rooms are clean and spacious enough. The pool area was lovely to chill out around. Friendly staff and also other customers. Some cool bars on the beach (just down the path). We would definitely stay there next time we go to Koh Lanta!

Nice friendly resort”
We stayed 5 days at this nice resort. The beach close to hotel is not very good but hotel has a small pool. We rented a motobike for our stay in lanta. The roads are in a bad condition so take it easy. We had time to see most of the island during our stay. We planned to try restaurants near by, but after testing hotel restaurant we had all our meals here. Very nice.

I spent 4 great days in Matcha Resort”
Mathca Resort is a nice and relaxing place where to spend some day in Koh Lanta. Located in the middle of the island, easy to reach both north and south. THe bungalow was nice, spacious, big and comfortable bed, wifi and tv. The beach in front of the resort is very wild, there's nobody around and it's full of corals shells. It's not perfect for bathing as there are rocks and corals, but it's nice to spend sunset time there or walking on the beach. Better beaches are easy to reach (5-10 min. by motorbike). Staff speak a very good english (especially the woman who run the place). It's clean and very peacefull. I totally recommend.

cozy and comfortable stay”
We booked for two nights but ended up staying for 6 nights! Ko Lanta was a hidden gem and to stay at hanna lanta was a good choice for us. It was quiet and the room was comfortable. The staff were all helpful and friendly.

Can't be better for the price”
Not on the beach but only 50m, very quite. All the best reggae bars are near and 7-11. If your prepared to stay around the resort area fine, if not a motorbike rental is a good idea. I will stay there again in the future if they keep the same prices.

Fantastic”
A fantastic little hidden gem. Two minutes walk from 7 11, two minutes from the beach and all the relaxing beach bars. The room was incredibly clean with everything we needed, comfy bed, hot shower, great AC, no bugs and in a great really quiet location! There is also an amazing little family run restaurant opposite 7 11. Great value for money!! Highly recommend matcha resort!

Friendly staff and lovely room.”
We truly enjoyed staying at the Matcha Resort. The hotel was very nice and clean and the staff friendly and helpful. The beach is not the best one for swimming since there are a lot of stones during low tide but by renting a motorbike or taking a tuktuk you can easily get to the other beaches for day trips.

Stayed in matcha resort over a week, was hard to leave! Its located at the end of khlong kong beach and doesnt really have a restaurant or bar to dine in but you have so much choice available on the beach that its not a problem. The bangalow itself was modern and comfortable, they would clean it for you if you ask and they would do a fantastic job with that. Everyone who works there is super friendly and helpful and they do take a good care of everything. 7|11 is just round the corner so is motorbike hire , laundry service and great pancakes. Views from the beach-amazing though if you want to swim, drive elsewhere, bit rocky there. But its nnot a problem. Internet okish. Highly recommended!

The staff go out of their way to help you. The resort is clean and well maintained. The food at the resort was good. We ended up eating there a few times. The beach is casual and laid back. I would go back here in a heartbeat.

Relaxed around the resort and on the beach”
It's pretty amazing there. Peaceful, staff are friendly and very helpful, some friendly cats, beach is around the corner. You can rent out bikes and book tours right from the hotel for good prices as well!

Nice new bungalow, but not on the beach”
The room was clean and a good size. Everything appears to be quite new. The air-con and wifi worked very well. The only downside was that it was about 100m away from the beach on the other side of a resort that you would need to cut through to get to the beach.

Clean room, close to beach”
Wee spend in resort 4 days. Wee recomend hire a scooter on main street, just next the 7-11. You can go around the island during 1 day. Room was cleanand spacious, beach is approximatelly 2 minutes of walk. Every day you will be propably vakeup at 5 am by the muslims prayer.
