Clean and convenient hostel”

The hotel is situated in a quiet residential area, within walking distance to Dingan Road metro station, Jiebai department store, Yintai shopping mall and West Lake. The hostel is clean and my bed has its own power socket (not sure if other beds have individual sockets). My only complaint is that there is no toilet paper in the toilet. (Maybe there's a toilet paper dispenser somewhere and I missed it.) Bring your own toilet paper just to be safe.

convenience to famous tourist spot, close to xihu by 15-20mins walk. best services so far( we had stayed 3 different hotel in hangzhou), friendly and helpful staff, we would definitely come back to ymca on our next visit.

Good to stay, near city”

I was only there for one night. But wouldn't stay there longer, because the facilities were apart from each other (such as the restroom, reception room, rooms are on the third floor, plus the rooms were very hot).

YMCA International Youth Hostel- cozy”

I find my stay here quite pleasant. The only set-back is no lift. We had to carry our luggage using stairs. The toilets and bathrooms are okay but the bed is not comfortable. Location is good as we find no problem to find eating places.

It was a good stay. Rooms were clean. Large washing facilities for clothes. The wifi was really slow though, and the availability of food drinks was inconsistent. For instance, they had wine in the fridge and a price for it but it wasn't for sale and they had tea and a tea set, but when asked they didn't have any.

We enjoyed our stay at Hangzhou YMCA Youth Hostel very much. We didnt have a hard time finding it. It is very accessible to buses. You can go to city railway station and West or East Bus stations that can bring you to other provinces. Rooms are clean, with complete toiletries. Walking distance to shopping centers and eateries. Would go back to this hotel when in Hangzhou.

cheap and convenient”

The building is very cute and the dormitory style rooms are nice. If you are aiming for a cheap place to stay near West Lake this is it. Lockers are provided in the rooms for your belongings while you are out and I never had to wait in line for a shower or bathroom stall during my stay. The one downfall I would say is that the lot next to the hostel was under construction. I know the hostel isn't to blame but construction ALL night was really annoying and since my room was on the side facing the construction and my bed was right next to the window I didn't sleep very well. As I said not the hostels fault I know but if you are going in the near future it's something to consider. Also any review commenting on the fact that there is no elevator, this statement is true. I did not mind, in my opinion if you are willing to stay at a "youth hostel" you are youthful enough to climb 2 flights of stairs.

Pleasant, beautiful, and comfortable”

The hotel appearance was lovely with western architecture. The lobby was very creative and artistic. There were no doors separating the room and the toilet, but it was quite unique in that sense. A few disadvantages was that there was no elevator in the hotel to reach the rooms in the third floor. The wifi would not functioning in the rooms and we had to go to the lobby to access to the wifi. but overall it was a pleasant stay.

Quality budget hostel”

Close to west-lake scenic area, where most attractions in Hangzhou were located. Room was clean and staffs were polite. But one drawback is... they don't provide amenities like water basin and slippers which i could find in other hostels in China.

Clean but can be noisy”

This budget hotel was in a lovely colonial-style building close to West Lake, shopping and restaurants. It has a great balcony where you can sit and have your breakfast or relax and the lounge/bar/cafe also looked nice. But the rooms vary considerably. The doubles were small with the bathroom right in the room; and one had a sewer smell. The twins are much better value. Large rooms with beds that can be pushed together, chairs and a bathroom separated from the room by a door. There is major construction going on next door so request a room away from the construction noise or you will be awake at 6 am!

I really enjoyed my stay. This hotel is in an old school which I found charming and teh new branding for the YMCA is funky and really well done. I loved the location and found that this hotel was a great deal for the area.

The location is convenient. Near to MTR station and West Lake. The room is clean and the facilities is modern. Within the ancient building, you can experience old and modern things at the same time. The staff is friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend the hostel to my friends for their future visit to Hangzhou.

Quite yet right at the heart of Hangzhou”

this old building has a lot of character which sets a great ambience especially since i stayed there during the winter. communal toilets and bathrooms which are spanking clean. there's also a laundry room where you can do some washing manually or if you're feeling lazy, a coin operated dryer and washing machine. lovely balcony although the view isn't all that great. overall a great place to stay and meet other travelers. will absolutely recommend to others.

Good location”

Hotel was very clean, room with beautiful big arch windows. Don't get the room at the end on the 4th floor in winter as the heater wasn't working when we were there and it was about 10 degrees overnight in the room.

Lovely hotel and service with a smile”

Lovely hotel with a lot of pretty oil paintings along the stairs.The room is quite pretty with some nice furniture. The room is tidy and clean.The hotel receptionists are very friendly and helpful,always with smile.The hotel is only around 10 minutes's walk to the West Lake. Great location. You can easily find food and shops nearby the hotel.

I stayed in winter time. They have heater in room. But no in the bathroom. They have open bar in the 3rd floor.

Classic Buliding”

The hostel is in an old YMCA building, so you can definitely see the age in it but that doesn't necessarily take away from it's quality. it feels very homey and traditional.

Good : ~location is consider good as it is 15mins walking distance to the Westlake ~ walking distance to shopping mall ~ a few bus stations nearby which will bring you to most of the touristic spot Cons: ~ they have few staff but some are not helpful. No sufficient info provided. Please expect to rely on your own if you were to stay here. ~ cleanliness is not so good especially the toilet. I went on winter and it's already smelly, it will be worse if it's summer. ~ the cabinet is also old and kinda broken ~ rooms are on 3rd floor, no lift. Please expect to carry luggage all the way up and down.
