Enjoyable stay”
Overall, I enjoyed my stay in Hanh Long 1 Hotel in District 5, Cho Lon. Although the hotel is not as grand branded hotels in Ho Chi Minh City, it is still consider as a generally acceptable hotel. With the amount of money I have paid and the room I got, it is definitely value for money. The massage service located at level 2 of the hotel provides excellent authentic Vietnamese style massage, foot and body, which includes foot pressing technique and hot stones massage. I will classify my massage experience over there as wonderful. However, I find that the hotel should look into some of its equipment serviceability. The telephone in my room was not working, and the air conditioner was not very strong(I don't really mind it as I don't use the phone and I don't like my room to be cold). Other than these, the room was spacious and generally clean and tidy. Hence, overall I like my stay in Hanh Long 1 Hotel.

Disappointing after 1 year”
This will be my last review for this hotel as I will not be staying anymore. Even my friend is disappointed. I used to stay this hotel for it huge room , bed and price. The last visit is totally a letdown. 1) Slow Lift - There are 2 lift in this hotel , but 1 of them is not working or we are not allow to use. The other one take ages to come down. 2) Fridge - Not working - only room temperature. We try to adjust from the fridge knob but it is still not working. 3) Hot Water - No hot water - no need further elaborate on this one. 4) Spoil Ventilation - Make the restroom stuffy. 5) Stranger - Because there is a SPA in level 8 , you will see all sort of stranger walking in out of the lobby and taking the lift with you. Well , Of course , if the above does not bother you , consider the price and the location. This is still consider stay-able.

wonderful was a summing up word, I like the centralised location of the hotel where I can reach easily anywhere from historial venues, religious worship places, shopping malls, eating out, handy transport locally and to the outskirts or beaches or scenic tours, not to mention its fabulous entertainment offering a modern city could expect, I certainly will come back again and again...

This hotel is located at district 5 however, it is not easy to find. It took the taxi driver quite some time to locate the place. The hotel is run-down, below average. Our stay was not so pleasant due to the noise coming out from the refrigerator and also the cars passing by at night.

Run-down hotel and location”
While the room is big and generally clean, the hotel building itself is not. I stayed on the 2nd Floor, with the 1st floor being a foot massage. On the top three floors , it houses a steam bath, sauna and massage centre. Lots of outsiders come and go during my stay. I was pleasantly surprise at the absence of cockroaches for the first two days. But on the third, they came out like an army marching for war. Mosquitoes are here and there. Breakfast is either a measly bowl a pork-noodle-soup or one small loaf of bread + eggs. No coffee is served. I am sure there are many better hotels around for the same price.

Air-cond was not cooling,we requested to change room. Breakfast was too bad because we took the same meal for 3 days. Receptionist can speak in Mandarin. Enviroment at Massage center was not up to expectation.

Poor hotel , sub standard”
The service is poor. Have to tell them to make room. Bed and chairs is old looks a little run down. The counter staff don't have the courtesy to remind of the check out time and charge for over 15 minutes.They intend to make money thru this way and said by noon sharp, have to check out. Before booking this hotel have to check.Nearby can get better hotel with this pricing. Not recommended .

Friendly service but bad maintenance of facility”
Not very pleasant considering the fact that there were many rowdy young guest shouting and screaming at wee hours of the morning. No proper consideration on the management to ensure comfort for other guests. The room facilities especially the bathroom are also not functioning. Breakfast is so pathetic. However, the friendly staffs are the only relieve for my stay.

I arrived early in HCM and I was exhausted so I stayed there for few hours to freshen up and rest. Room was spacious enough, bathroom was ok. It was sort of a relief to find such a place that fast for an ok price.
