Great time in Old Quarter ”
A hotel in Old Quarter is a great jumping off point for everywhere you want to go in the city and beyond. The May de Ville Legend hotel was a great location, about a block away from beer street and everything else the Old Quarter has to offer. The street on front of the hotel is a bit wider, so it's easy to get a Grab or get picked up by a tour guide. That being said because of it's central location, expect some noise from the street, although the room itself was pretty quiet. The staff was very accommodating and pleasant. They offered airport pick-up at a reasonable price. They also effortlessly arranged two day trips for us, to Ninh Binh and Ha Long Bay. Definitely recommend upgrading to the Jade Sails cruise that they offer, it is well worth the money to be with a small group on a beautiful boat. They were also very helpful with recommending good places to eat, though I'd also do some exploring on your own. Breakfast was included in our stay, we did take advantage of the breakfast buffet during the days we had the tour. Good amount of options, and delicious. They also offer an a la carte menu if you prefer as well. The room was a decent size and clean, exactly what we needed. It served as a base to go out and explore. We were really only in the room to sleep and freshen up. If you plan on spending a good amount of time in the hotel, this probably is not the place for you. Overall great stay, definitely recommend if you want to be in the middle of everything and hassle free booking of activities.

Absolutely amazing location in the middle of Old Quarter”
Absolutely love our stay in this hotel. The location is amazing. Right in the middle of all the action in the Old Quarter, with plenty of street food, cafes, restaurants and bars all around. It is on one of the busier streets of the area, although not on the busiest streets. (If you don’t like the busy-ness of the area - motorbikes, crowded streets, street stalls, food stalls that spills over the pavement, shops that spill onto the streets - don’t stay in the Old Quarter.) Our room is a deluxe room ‘with window’ but that doesn’t mean with a view of the outside. The window opens into a sky well. But this is great - because the room is very quiet. No street noise at all. Room is big. Layout is good. Bed comfortable. Deco pretty new. Cleaning has been very thorough. Breakfast is good. Reception staff very helpful and knowledgeable. Highly recommended!

Excellent service and location ”
We stayed here two separate times, in two different rooms, within the span of a week. The rooms are clean, the staff are nice, the breakfast buffet is delicious, and the location is excellent. The front desk manager, Hannah, speaks English, and was very welcoming. She helped us pick our tours, provided recommendations and made sure we were always comfortable. I couldn’t ask for a better service. Everything we wanted to do was within 15 minutes walking distance. Of course, you can also just get a Grab (equivalent to Uber) car or motorbike if you want to go further. The location of the hotel is very quiet and safe.

Great quality with a reasonable price ”
1. Location: Center of old quarter( many restaurants, massage shops, bars,etc.) 2. Building: The rooms are not large but clean. Shower runs well with plenty of hot water. 3.Breakfast: Has good variety for the price(eg. fruits, salad, noodles, bread, boiled and sautéed dishes, tea and coffee, juices, etc.) 4.Service of the staff: The receptionists speak English and are very helpful. ( for eg, Ms. Hana, the young lady with the glasses helped me many times. ) The bell boys are polite. 5. Drawbacks a. The streets near the hotel, while quite narrow, have many motorbikes, cars, and street venders. When walking, you need to be careful not to bump into them. b. The house cleaning staff knocks at your door around 10 AM. If you are not an early bird, you will be rushed to let her in to clean your room. 6. Summary Overall, the hotel is worth the price and I will stay again.

The hotel is just amazing. Staff had a great service and was always paying attention to our needs. They were specially nice to my son what means a lot to us as a parent. The room was always clean and the beds are very comfortable. TV also has YouTube and YouTube kids what made our visit a little more pleasant. The breakfast buffet was good in comparison with the rooms price, they offered good desserts and you can also ask the staff to bring you pho or omelette as extras. Checkin was fast and we could even get our room with two hours in advance. Check out was also quickly done. I'm surely coming back on my next visit to Hanoi - from Garciacano family with love <3

The hotel was able to accommodate my family's needs in a very prompt and helpful manner. The manager (Miss Jenny) was extremely helpful too in arranging for our transportation to Sapa and made an effort to enquire and give recommendations to us. We felt very welcome staying here. In addition, the rooms were extremely spacious and the decor and amenities were exactly the same as those shown in the photographs. We would highly recommend this hotel for tourists, especially those travelling in larger groups.

Staff were super helpful. Porter went all the way to get me a box when I needed to pack more stuff. Breakfast was good and the waitress was very attentive. The room is super clean. Location is good, food is within walking distance.

My partner and I enjoyed everything about this hotel. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The highlight was the staff. During our week-long stay they made sure to develop a report with us and made sure all of our needs were met. They even offered services for transportation to and from the airport. I stayed as a single person for an overnight visit. It was the perfect size and space for what I needed. Very clean and comfortable. I originally booked a single, but was upgraded to a double. I think it would have definitely on the small side if I were sharing that space it another person, though. The hotel staff was very kind and accommodating.
