Best place to stay in the Old Quarter”
This was one of the best hotels I stayed during my trip in Vietnam. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful! Our room was very clean, and included a desktop computer, and coffee/tea. The computer helped us plan the rest of our Vietnam trip! The stay included breakfast, which was a delicious bowl of beef pho with some fresh fruit and vietnamese coffee. I loved that this hotel is located in a quiet ,in the Old Quarter. We were able to leave our luggages there for the day when we checked out. I highly recommend staying here if you're in Hanoi.

“Outstanding Hotel in the Old Quarter””
This place is one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in, particularly considering how good value it is. They were quick in helping me out over email to book a transfer from the airport to the hotel. I was immediately able to find my name on a sign when I arrived at the airport, so there was no concern about being ripped off. Staff were extremely friendly when I arrived, providing maps and free advice. When I told them I had already booked excursions they did not press the issue. When I asked for help in booking a transfer to Cat Ba Island they arranged everything for me at a reasonable price. The room was lovely. Small but elegant, immaculate, and extremely clean. The shower was good and room service was efficient. I'm very grateful to the staff for their friendliness and help in introducing me to Hanoi. If I return to the city I will definitely stay here again.

“Exceptional hotel stay!””
We just returned from our trip to Vietnam, and one of its highlights was our stay at Hanoi Capella Hotel!! The staff is exceptional, they go out of their way to provide you everything you could need. Not only are they always courteous and speak perfect English, they also helped me with confirming my flights (there had been a glitch). I was already on my way to Halong Bay, so they called me to inform it had been taken care of, ensuring I don't worry! The location is perfect, near the hoan kiem lake and night market it's quiet and peaceful! The rooms are very well designed and laid out. Later on my stay in Hanoi I stayed at bigger hotels that could not compare with the exceptional cleanliness and appointed ambience of Hanoi Capella hotel . Mr Tom the manager is very professional, courteous and runs an excellent establishment! Thank you, and everyone on your staff, including the wonderful Ms Sara and smiling helpful Cuong

Over Charge few thousand and do not want to refund”
This hotel any how to charge my credit card without inform or get authorize from me. Hotel staff know my credit card number when I book the hotel online, so they can charge any amount as they like. I told my bank the story and submit dispute form to get back the extra charge money but the hotel do not want to refund and said the extra charge is my penalty of tour cancellation. But, I do not book any tour with the Hotel. Hotel just provide a piece of black and white A4 paper like copying paper with a signature stated the cost of the room, date of I check out and the tour cancellation to the bank as a proof. The signature on the paper is not my signature. Whose signature of that? Can anyone just sign on it? It is too outrageous and I feel unsafe that hotel can any how to charge me even without my signature. I'm thinking and hope Hotel platform like agoda, booking, etc can protect us by enclose our important detail like credit card number etc. I submit the dispute form on Nov 2016 until now still pending on the result. I really feel sad and angry that this hotel is no loyalty at all. No matter how good or clean of this hotel but lastly you maybe will pay a high cost same as a five star hotel. This is not worth at all. By the way, the hotel is not as good as you see in the picture. The door is lousy looks like broken, not safe. The room also not clean. The breakfast buffet also worst. Nothing to choose and won't top up if you come late. Milk finish also do not replenish and said no more in their store room. This is the worst experience and hotel I saw in my life. WORST, WORST, WORST !!!!!!!

“Great Hotel in Old Quarter””
We stayed here for 2 nights in mid February. We had wanted a hotel in the old quarter and had picked this hotel based upon reviews on TA. We were not disappointed. Our room was very large and included a large bathroom with shower. The hotel is ideally located in the old quarter making access to the many attractions in this area easy. It was a short, easy walk to Hoan Kiem Lake from the hotel. Although the streets around the hotel are busy the rooms was very quiet. While the quality of the rooms was welcome and the location excellent the most outstanding aspect to this hotel is the friendliness of the staff. Both Juli (Manager?) and Sara at the front desk were outstanding, always ready to answer a question and provide advice on a good restaurant. Breakfasts were a feast providing both Asian and western options. Thien and Thom , staff in the restaurant were friendly and attentive adding to our enjoyment. Tho even taught me a little Vietnamese. Thanks to all the staff for making our stay extra special.

Cannot recommend”
The hotel does not seem to be well maintained and is in need of a refurb, contrary to what the nice photos suggest. The walls are dirty, curtain hanging loose, toilet not working, chair so dirty it's not nice to sit on. And that's for a delux room with a window. We thought we paid a premium compared to other 3 star hotels, but it was totally not worth it. We had a look at what a standard room for 2 without a window was - disaster! Breakfast was quite poor, compared to other hotels in Vietnam. There was a hole in the ceiling in the bathroom, which would allow any unwelcome local animal ( guess yourself which one) to easily get in. Having said that the staff were really amazing and helpful!! That was the highlight of our stay. Thanks for that

No safe and door lock was funny”
Arrived here for a 2 night stay. At the check-in we asked about going to Ha Long Bay and the receptionist immediately went into saleswoman mode. Telling us of 2 packages and that the cheaper one is no good. That already irritated me...why tell us one is no good? If not to influence us to get the more expensive one? When we went up, we discovered that there was no safe in the room. We then told the front desk and was told they would send one to us. I immediately thought that's weird - if they can send one to us, whats stopping someone from lifting the whole safe and carrying it out of the room? Anyway, we used the movable safe and didn't feel very secured at all. We also asked for an iron which never came. One good thing about this place is the breakfast at the rooftop. The staff there were friendly and gave us seconds and also eggs etc. Really good. Another positive is the private car to the hotel - they arranged it at a relatively ok price. Room was ok and quiet. Peaceful nights there. However, the hotel staff speaks very loudly outside the corridors and woke us up in the morning. Should train them to not talk like they are at the market. I might stay there again but will give it a hard thought before I click the book button. Can give it a try if you are trying to save money. Otherwise, try another one.
