“The hospitality of the staff is wonderful!”
After visiting Koh Samui for the first time in 9 years and staying 3 nights at Conrad, I spent 5 nights at Hansar Samui. I had previously visited in August for several years until 9 years ago, and it was always hot and humid with sunny days. This time, it was mostly cloudy, with only a little bit of sunshine, which was a bit disappointing. Hansar Samui contacted me before my stay to arrange my wishes. Additionally, there was a problem during my stay, but the staff at the pool and reception were very attentive and resolved it. The staff's hospitality was excellent! The guest room had stains and burn marks on the curtains and daybed, but it was kept clean. The location is fantastic, right by the beach and close to Fisherman’s Village. I was able to enjoy meals and massages every day. Fisherman’s Village was much livelier compared to 9 years ago. My favorite restaurant with beautiful sunset views on the beach is still there, and my favorite inexpensive massage shop seems to have changed its name but is still operational. I was happy to visit both again. The pool is indeed as beautiful as in the photos, but you'll need to secure a spot on the poolside beds early in the morning. On Friday, I went to the night market, but since it started to rain a bit, I ended up eating at a Thai restaurant that offers all dishes for 150 baht, which could rival the night market. I think it's the cheapest spot in Fisherman’s Village. I would like to visit again next summer and stay at Hansar Samui, hoping for typical sunny weather in Thailand.
