Great location.
1. Great location. 5-min walk from Dongsi Subway Station & 3 stations away from Airport Express. Within the 2-km radius are the Forbidden City, the Hutongs at Shichahai, the shopping strip at Wangfujing and the restaurants at Beixinqiao. Hotel is just hard to find. I had to visit booking.com for the map. 2. Don’t expect much from the facilities. Hotel provides towel, roll of tissue, body wash and shampoo; air-conditioning unit and water heater; has luggage service; with restaurant at the lobby, but inform them in advance should you want to order food. Sometimes they don’t have rice (mi fan) for that day, or the cook just refuses to prepare food at 8:30PM despite their claim that the restaurant is open until 10:00PM. 3. Cleanliness could be improved. Dust literally accumulated on the ledge by the bed’s headboard and on the aircon’s air outlet. Nonetheless, should you need a place to rest your head for the night and to store your luggages, this hotel is okay.

Happy Dragon Smells
The whole place smells bad especially in the hallway. It feels creepy walking through the hallway and the decor in the bar is so outdated and dingy. The sound of the loud jackhammer and construction started at 8am so we were force to getup. Also the whole street all around them are under construction.

Bad hostel
I would not recommend this hostel for other travelers. The hostel location is very hard to find from the subway and even local taxi driver finds it hard to go there. I got off the subway station and took a hour to find the hostel before I decided to take a taxi. And it seems quite dangerous to walk to the hostel at late night after 10 pm since there are a few people on the road. The room is dirty and very very ... old. The bed sheet is also the same, very old and feels dirty too. The staff speaks good English but look not friendly at all. I definitely would not recommend for this hostel.

Great place for meeting people!
The staff is great and you'll meet many people from all around the world here. It's easy yet expensive to go on a tour as well. The rooms are expensive, even for Beijing standards. Rooms were nice and had big, soft beds. However, when I asked for a clean towel they didn't want to give me one. That's bad. The shower had very low water pressure and temperature couldn't be regulated well either so taking a shower took ages here. The location is a 5 min walk from the Dongsi subway station (not Dongsi Shitiao!) which is great. It's close to most big tourist attractions too. Hutongs are right around the corner and restaurants and stores are too. The location is perfect. If you want to meet lots of people then this place is the best. However, if you want a relatively cheap private room then there are much better hostels out there.

Good Location, Helpful Staff, Value for Money
Subway within walking distance, few minutes away. Near to city attractions. Will stay here again.

Accessible; Affordable
Near Dongsi Station (Exit E). You can walk to Wangfujing Dajie, Tiananmen and Forbidden City.
