Great location”

This is located in a fun area within easy walking distance of the sites of Sydney.

the harbour rocks hotel is located in a great location. this hotel is located within walking distance of the main attractions of sydney. we enjoyed walking from the hotel to the harbor and taking a harbor cruise to see the fabulous sydney harbor. although we only spent one night in sydney, the harbour rocks hotel was located in a place where we were able to see the sites. the staff was friendly and helpful. we would like to return to the harbour rocks and to sydney.

location and history ”

I didnt know where to stay in Sydney until a friend of a friend suggested Harbour rocks hotel where she took an occasional coffee. It was a perfect introduction to Sydney, right in the heart of the first buildings ever built there. The history is palpable. The intimacy of the small hotel is welcoming and really amplifies the atmosphere of how the city grew from this spot. The rooms are immaculate. The food is delicious and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Full mark! I shall be back.

Fantastic location, historic & comfortable hotel”

Proximity to attractions, historic house, comfortable room

I had a superb experience staying at Harbour Rocks Hotel and would definitely return again. I like historic houses and this one was well preserved and renovated. Rooms are very modern and comfortable, and the restaurant serves a fantastic breakfast. Highly recommended for anyone wishing to stay near the Circular Quay and The Rocks areas.

Location, helpful staff, comfortable bed

Loved The Rocks area and Harbour Rocks Hotel is in a great location. It was close to everything we wanted to do, and has interesting history. Although there is no elevator, there is a baggage lift so you don't have to drag your luggage up the stairs. I enjoyed our stay very much. The room and closet space was adequate for our needs, the bed was quite comfortable so I always had a good night's sleep. TV was iffy - sound & picture quality not too good. Did not eat at the restaurant. Found that food prices in Sydney are expensive compared to USA.

An elegant, charming place to decompress.”

The surroundings, the room and above all the staff.

It was wonderful and I am already recommending it to my friends and acquaintances. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate me, allowing me to store a bag before my official arrival and giving me great tips while I was there. I will always have special memories of the Harbor Rocks Hotel as an indispensable part of my stay in Sydney.

A Slice of History wedged in amongst the action”

Location, atmosphere/decor and large rooms

Three generations of females, we headed to Sydney to see a show. I chose the hotel because of it's proximity to Circular Quay, The Rocks, Opera House where our show was and the availability of parking. The number of restaurants and cafes close by was an added bonus. Our room was large and very comfortable, we even had a sneaky view of the harbour and bits of the Opera House. Not too many guests so it had an intimate feel. Staff were helpful and efficient. The inhouse restaurant and bar will be an attraction when I return, as, I will be back.

Perfect location for all your needs.”

The best thing about this hotel is the location.Right opposite the Lowenbrau Keller German Restaurant. And the in house restaurant is just the best.I recommend the full breakfast.Just fantastic. The staff were very nice and proffessional and welcoming.Excellent.
The thing i didnt like was you could hear everything through the walls from the next room.Felt like i had no privacy. But the room was nice and clean and served my purpose for my 1 night stay.

When i first arrived at the enterance of the hotel i found it very clean and neat. And the staff areverypolite and friendly and proffessional which i liked very much. The room i booked was the heritage room. Its neat and tidy with a nice comfortable double bed a tv and reverse cycle airconditioning. The bathroom was also neat and tidy with a great shower.Very large and with plenty of water pressure. That was excellent. But the best thing i found was the in house restaurant. It was just the best. You are greeted at the enterance and shown what is availible to eat. They cook your hot breakfast to order.Hot and fresh. And they have a great selection of fruits, cereals ,cakes ,yogerts. And as the sun shines in through the windows as your reading the morning news paper having your hot breakfast cooked drinking your hot coffee and orange juice. It dosnt get any better than that.So for what ever reason you might have to be at the rocks this hotel is the perfect location for all your needs.

Great location in the Rocks”

Location, size and historic setting

This hotel suited us perfectly. It was small, discrete, friendly with a great reading/relaxing area and small bar. The room was perfect for our needs, though the bathroom door was a bit clunky for nighttime quiet. Situated within the Rocks, a 2 minute walk from the harbour ferries, trains (easy ride to airport) and buses. A safe and beautiful stroll at night to choose from a great variety of entertainments and food. Only negative....why don't hotels in Australia have free Wifi? Internet access is not a luxury and its a turn off when access is treated that way!

Harbour Rocks Hotel, Sydney”

Small, personal, handy location
Car parking was expensive but then it is everywhere in Sydney! ($35 with hotel discount for overnight)

This is a beautifully converted old warehouse close to Circular Quay. It has far more character than any of the standard "skyscraper", tourist hotels yet was no more expensive. The room was comfortable, quiet (despite its proximity to the Rocks) and breakfast was more than adequate. Staff were very helpful. We would definitely go back there if we ever manage to get back to Oz.

The Harbour Rocks Hotel is EXCELENT!!! ”

Location, cleanliness, intimate.
None. Request for late checkout (@12:30) was not granted. Absence of flexibility by the staff, and request for additional 20$ for this left a bitter filling.

Location, location, location. The hotel is very well located very in the ROCKS, close to the main attractions and to the Circular Quey which is a main junction for all types of transportation- train, ferry, buses, taxi boats within an old building, renovated very nicely, intimate and quiet, very clean. There a laundry machine amd dryer - very useful.

Easy and relaxed...we didn't eat at the hotel as it is surrounded by great restaurants throughout the Rocks for both breakfast and dinner, which we wanted to try. The hotel does not have the trappings of a larger 4 star hotel, but as a boutique hotel it hits the spot for a great weekend break.

Excellent friendly staff. Great location in 'The Rocks'. Ten minutes walk to the Opera House where we were seeing a play. Breakfast was disappointing. A very limited continental buffet, plus a limited a la carte menu. (Omelette had no choice of filling. Eggs Benedict quite tasty, but presented badly.)
