Good cheap hotel”
I was booking for a room with two beds (I saw in Agoda). When I was in Belitung, it refer to different room with one big bed. Overall, the hotel is fine. One more concern is the low light.

Filthy Room, Highly NOT recommended”
Although it was cheap, we didn't think that we would have a super disgusting and filthy room. It was cheap because there was a discount from Agoda, so I think for those who paid for a full price and get the exactly the same room as we had, would be super pissed off. The first impression when we entered the hotel was nice since we could see the nice beach view from the garden. But then when we entered the room, it was really smelly, humid and filthy. Even worse when we found out the shower was improper. Water from the shower running very very low, hardly to get a shower in the hotel. Luckily we were with other friends who stayed in another hotel so they lend us their shower (we only had a shower once in Harlika Jaya during our 2 nights stay due to this reason). Getting worse and worse when we used the toilet, it didn't flush (can you imagine?). I mean, we've been staying in another cheap place around the world but NEVER get this bad experience. We had reported to the hotel staff about the low-water shower, and nothing, they neither fixed it nor move us to another proper room.

Very easy to find, location just 10 minutes by car, surrounding by big garden, walking to seaside daytime can see lots of small crabs running around. Room are quite spacious, staff is very nice. Recommend this hotel....

Only a Great Location”
As others have noted, these run-down bungalows have an excellent seaside location, but that's all. Our shabby room had torn sheets, only one dirty towel, no toilet paper, a warped door to the bath, and a leaking AC. However, the view from the pavilion on the seafront was stunning and a great place to watch the clouds over the horizon and read during rainy afternoons. Also, being adjacent to the public park -- Tanjung Pendam -- meant that a selection of seafood was just across the street. Thus, no need for hotel food service with a dormant kitchen; even getting a thermos of hot water took about 40 minutes. The clerk at check out didn't seem to recognize the voucher presented at check-in; thus, keep a duplicate to avoid departure delays.

Good location, crappy room”
The location was really good -- along the beach and right beside a park with dining areas and a great view of the sunset. But the hotel -- it's actually barely a hotel -- is old and the rooms and beddings, while functional, look old and dirty. Service is also non-existent. Belitung is lovely, but it really needs decent accommodations.

The hotel location is near the beach. The room was not so clean. We rent the motorbike from the hotel. On the 3rd day, the motorbike got broken down, but they asked us to take care it on our own. No responsibility form the hotel.

Good staff”
This place made reminded me of cheap guesthouses in Thailand 25 years ago. For 9$ do not expect too much. Value of money: 5 Breakfast included, they used to bring it to the door but the 2 last days they didn't, I guess it was because there were many guests and they had a free true buffet instead. Location: 5 Walking distance to the city center. The beach on the other hand is littered and nothing spectacular. Cleanliness: 3 There was sometimes some bad smell of sulfur. Mosquitos. Staff: 5 Very good staff that unfortunately does not speak English. I tried to rent a motorbike and they didn't have any. An old woman in the staff was very helpful and by all her means tried to help me get an motorbike from 3rd parties. They also upgraded my bike to a new one from another shop. Communication was very difficult but the old woman was very persistent in helping me. Rental was 75k rp a day. Facilities: 2 Cold water in a bucket to shower as in Thailand 25 years ago.

The location is excellent, just beside the beach/sea. the hotel has beautiful garden and wifi. only that the building is old and facilities are also very old.......wall looks yellow & dirty, blankets and pillows also look yellow and dirty. overall, it is SO SO.

Basic Hotel - clean”
Basic local hotel I guess value for money, room could have done with a paint. Restaurant closed even though hotel was full. Staff friendly and helpful. AC and hot water Good location on beach, plenty of eating places within walking distance. Not sure if I'd stay there again, as a bit too basic for us. But ok if you want a cheap place.

We stayed here for 3 days. We have chose to stay here due to the non-availability in every hotel that we want. They have friendly staffs, easy to access, not too far from airport, close to restaurant, has a sea view. The room is clean enough, however the bedsheet, pillow cover, n toilet are not really. A little bit upset tough, prior to their price.

Motorbike scam”
Room mouldy and not clean. Bad service. I wanted to extend my motorbike rent at 6 pm at the reception. The staff explained to me to come in the morning again. In the morning the staff told me I can only rent the motorbike, when I stay in the hotel longer, but I booked another hotel already. So then I wanted to give back the motorbike..then the staff asked me to pay for the full day for the motorbike..Be careful, scam!!

Our stay was in July, well located , nice sunset place. Rooms are simple but clean, bathroom is clean without any confort The staff is friendly but thêy cannot speak english. Need a car for visiting beautiful beaches ..
