          not enough facilities for young children”
          there is only 1 play room for kids which closes at 5pm. toys and play room not well maintained. aside from swimming and hanging out in playroom there is really nothing for the adults to do with the kids. resort is also far away from the major malls. 2 timing for small shuttle bus to and fro Nagoya Hill. Would prefer if they have more shuttle service to other locations and more frequencies. Or if they can have more kids friendly facilities like a real family resort.

          Excellent service & great staff. My infant son loved the place. Food was nice but expensive. Better to order through grab, etc. breakfast menu was good, but crowded. The swimming pool was amazing for family. downside was many of the facilities like Spa, was under renovation. Overall I will recommend this place for families because of their excellent service and polite staff.

          Disappointing Getaway ”
          We booked 4 rooms for our group of 8. Due to the size of our group, we did not have many options for our hotel accommodation. The Harris Waterfront is located at a more remote area where there is almost nothing nearby. While the location is acceptable as we can grab a taxi to Batam Center, the rooms were very run-down. The aircon in my room was leaking very badly. The toilet bowl gave a loud cracking sound everytime we stand up. Each time we close our room door, the “cement” at the side dropped off. The front desk staff were friendly but i cannot say the same for the restaurant staff. We had a hard time getting their attention everytime we were there. I would look for another option if i visit Batam again.

          The pool water was very dirty. Our check in was horrible. Upon getting keys, and going to the room, we were told room can't be used. Waited for another room. And other room had issue with air con. Thn had to wait for another room. Was such a hassle. Although we bought food and drinks from the restaurant, we had to pay for ice. Which was ridiculous. The air con in the rooms are not strong enough. One drink order takes 25 mins to be served. And food takes 45 mins.

          Pleasant stay”
          Booked 2 harris rooms and requested for interconnecting rooms, and we were surprised to get an apartment with 2 bedrooms thats connected by a living room with pantry, equipped with large fridge and microwave. Didnt expect that. Staff were all smiley, friendly and helpful. We were bumped as many activities were not available due to their reno works, but we enjoyed ourselves. Breakfast was of good variety though quality cld be better. It was dirty under coffee table and master bedroom aircon was leaking. But we were glad that all 60 tv channels were clear! We will be back in future to try all activities there.

          Got our room at only 2.45 pm indonesian time. At one point staff simply say room is not ready without checking. Hotel restaurant is filled with flies that my 10 year old boy says he loose his appetite to eat. Wonder how kitchen and food preparation is like.No signage on where the facilities are located and reception is crowded most of the time.

          My 2nd time here and it was a but crowded initially due to school holiday weekend. Facilities is still upgrading. Didnt do any sea activities or ATV as most of the sports are still upgrading and not available except for the ATV. But the staff suggested going over to barelang harris to try the activities and it was good choice. Tried the spa and unluckily the centre is also in the middle of moving.On good note the reno should be completed soon within this month according to the staff and the newer facilities n location is better n more accessible than the current isolated building. The highlight of Harris has always been the friendliness of the staff who will greet you and smile and chit chat with the kids. It is the small gestures that makes you feel at home. The driver of the shuttle service even fetch us back from the Go Kart surprising us as he pitied the kids having to walk back to the resort after play. That gesture is indeed awesome. Good job harris team

Unfortunately the location is quite far away from town which takes you about 30 minutes.i suggest more free bus schedule from hotel to the town or specific place so that would be easy for customer going out to the town.
