Great Stay ”
Had a great stayed in this lovely hotel because all the staffs here are well mannered and greet with a smiling face . I was given a chance to upgrade my room to Junior Suite from Studio Suite Twin....a very big thank you to the malay guy who done the Check-In for me. Now for the room, everything in this room 1703 are clean in the bathroom and on the towels, bed sheet and pillow case are clean too....no stains and no smells. Location wise, it's in the City Center of Malacca and there's 2 shopping malls (Dataran Pahlawan Melaka Megamall and Mahkota Parade) facing this hotel. Besides that, it's about 15 minutes walk to The Stadthuys, Christ Church Melaka, Windmill Dutch Square Melaka and last but not least the Jonker Street Night Market. As for breakfast........no complain as it is nice and delicious. Overall, my wife and i are very happy to stay in this hotel and we will come back again on the next trip to Malacca. Thumbs Up to all the staffs in Hatten Hotel, Melaka. :-)

Impressive & Memorable”
I don't usually write reviews on hotels that I have been but Hatten has made such a lasting impression that I couldn't wait to get home to write one. I have booked the deluxe suite for one night to celebrate my husband's birthday & glad I have picked the right hotel stay. I have sent an email few days before my stay to confirm my booking & receive a reply the day after to assure that my booking is secured. Not only that, they took the iniative to help create a birthday request. So,my husband was given a complimentary birthday cake! Check-in was a breeze, counter staffs were friendly & attentive. Because the cake was supposed to be a surprise, having my husband there to do the check-in,they did not even let the cat out of the bag! The room was amazingly huge. Love the minimalist concept yet stunning. We got the room with a splendid Malacca sea view. Toilet is spacious with huge rain shower. Love the splash pool with modern setting & great view. Hotel is also located near places of interest. You can rent a bicycle to go around town if you do not wish to take cab since all is nearby. There are also link bridges connected to malls. When I thought the surprise for my husband was just a cake,I was wrong. The staffs did an extra mile to make it better. I had a staff calling to check when I was going to leave the room for dinner so they can leave the cake in. But when we got back to check, they not only did that but decorated the room with balloons, simple towel decoration on the bed & made a card on my behalf. Both of us were amazed! I couldn't thank Hatten staff enough for making such effort. My husband enjoyed our trip there & one night was definitely not enough! We will definitely be returning again to Malacca this year & Hatten will be our choice without a doubt. This time it will definitely be more than just a night. We hope Hatten will continue & maintain such standard. You have very dedicated staffs. We look forward to our stay again with you.

When in Malacca . . . . .”
I don't agree that Hatten Hotel should be rated only 8.3 . . . . . . I personally would rate it 9. And I'm definitely coming again for a longer stay (my last stay was only 3D 2N). Many years ago when my wife and me came, we stayed at another hotel (Hatten Hotel was built yet). We stayed for 2D 1N and we told ourselves that if we ever came back to Malacca it would be for the same period bcos there wasn't anything to keep us here longer than that. In Mar 2016, we came again for a 3D 2N stay (online offer), this time with our little boy (6 yrs old). He had such a fun time at the pool. The amenities at the hotel were numerous, we just didn't have the time to try them all out. The staff, from the Entrance of the hotel all the way up to the room were friendly (always with a ready smile) and very polite and helpful. At the Concierge, Mr Ravi somehow takes a personal interest in all the guests. The young lady who cleaned our room readily obliged when we asked for an extra towel - no questions asked. The daily buffet breakfast had so many dishes to choose from and they all tasted just great. We spent a lot of time checking out Hatten Square and the surrounding shops, and some time at the Heritage Village (taking lots of photos) . . . . a lot more time in the pool. When it was time to leave, my son didn't want to (of course); my wife complained there simply wasn't enough time and I was a little sad. It's simply bcos we all had such a good time. So we decided that we must return. The plan is set for June. I expect things at the Hatten Hotel will be the same, if not, even better. Two thumbs up for Hatten Hotel and all your staff who make peoples' holiday special.

One of the BEST hotels in Malacca”
We enjoyed our stay at Hatten Hotel very much!!! It was in a great location situated in the heart of the City Centre and surrounded by the shopping centres, restaurants and eateries. Basically, you don't need to drive round, everything can be done on foot! Jonker Street, the historical sites (red buildings) are all within walking distance. The hotel ambience was really nice and cosy... in fact, its absolutely beautiful! We love our room (Premier Deluxe Suite) very much; and it was huge and super comfortable! The Premier rooms were situated at level 19-21. It was an added advantage for us as we had " Express Check In/Out" at the Premier Lounge with complimentary drinks, breakfast was at the highest floor (level 22), away from the main hotel guests so its more quiet and peaceful, you dont need to queue for food. My son had a fantastic time playing at the pool while we swam, and my hubby made good use of the gym. There was also a sauna and steam room. We've decided on Hatten Hotel everytime we travel up to Malacca, and will be there again soon... Thanks Hatten for making our stay such a relaxing and enjoyable one.

Wonderful Experience”
Hatten Hotel was the first choice when my fiance and I decided to visit Malacca as we have heard and read a lot of good reviews about the hotel. It was my fiance's birthday so I contacted the hotel to see if they could offer me anything and to my satisfaction, not only they gave me a 1/2kg cake but also upgraded my room! My check-in was done in a Premier Lounge as well, leaving a superb service and impression. Room was really spacious and location was definitely good for its near the local attraction there. Staffs were friendly too. Overall an excellent trip staying with Hatten. Will definitely recommend and stay again when back to Malacca.

Perfect hotel to stay in the heart of Malacca city!”
Me and my husband was stay at the Hatten hotel for 1 night room Junior Suite to celebrate my birthday. The room is huge and clean! We love the pool so much, and the scenery from this room was stunning! We can see the Malacca city and the pool as well from our room. The breakfast was okay for me. I has request the room deco as my birthday is on the check in date. Surprisingly, they did the great job! I can see 2 cute swans on our bed, with rose petals, and the birthday wish card from the hotel. THANK YOU HATTEN HOTEL MALACCA! We will definitely be back to this hotel soon =)

impressive hotel”
all i can say is that im very satisfied. very nice interior and clean, spacious room and bathroom. the room was equipped with 2 vs (in front of bed and in front of the couch. the view from my room was nice, facing malacca city. too bad it doest have balcony and its in the non-smoking area (its a smoking free zone in central malacca. the bathroom is very clean and beautiful, the swimming pool also very nice, although not really fun for the kids. 1 of the best features is the location. its only few hundred meters away from A famosa and only about 10 minutes walking distance, which save me from the hassle of finding parking space. the hotel also near to shopping complex (hatten square). the breakfast buffet was nice, lot of food selection. the only problem im facing is to find the parking, since the hotel and the mall shares the same parking place, but its not a big issue. in overall, i think it was a pleasant experience and would recommend to all. will definitely come again in the future.

Pleasant Stay”
Great service from the hotel staffs, rooms were big, comfy and clean, with plenty of amenities to be enjoyed (e.g. swimming pool, gyms, sky bar). Overall, a luxurious experience, very worth the price paid for. In addition, the hotel is conveniently located near many of the attractions in malacca. The cultural sites (formasa fort, st paul's and stadhuys) are within 10-15 mins walk from the hotel, while jonker street is about 15-20 mins walk away. The hotel is also linked to the 2 malls (Dhata Pahlawan and Mahkota Parade). There are also some nice eateries and massage around the area. Major thumbs up on the location. Would definitely recommend Hatten Hotel to people going to Malacca.

Hotel that serve with a smile”
My stay at Hatten Hotel Melaka was pleasant. Upon arrival, i was received with warming welcome and was brought to the Executive level for check in as the main lobby is under renovation. The room was beautiful and we had a slight view of the malacca straits. Although the toilet was abit small and lack of a bath tub. Next, i must comment that i was impressed with the breakfast selection. Amongst the hotels i stayed in, the Hatten Hotel served the best breakfast buffet i had. Thumbs up! Keep the good work up!

Excellent Location”
Hatten Hotel is a huge hotel with over 700+ rooms. It is located at a unbeatable location, whereby one can easily access Dataran Pahlawan shopping mall via Hatten Square, another smaller scale shopping mall as well. It is also within walking distance from Jonker Street - the must visit heritage street where one can get a feel of how prosperous once Melaka used to be. The check in and check out process was swift and efficient - with minimum waiting time. And the staff at the baggage counter has been most helpful as well. We will initially unhappy with our allocated room as there will taint of cigarettes' smell. Fortunately, the front desk was quick to rectify and allocate another room for us, despite experiencing an full house on our first night. The rooms are sizable at 32sqm which is probably slightly bigger than any standard hotel room (which are probably around 24 - 28sqm). I like the fact that there is actually a "living area" with a separate TV and if you draw the blind that separate the sleeping and living areas, one can watch the TV without disturbing your room mate who may wish to sleep early. In general, the room are clean, spacious (I do not have to tiptoe around even after filling it up with all the traditional pastries etc. I brought during my stay) and rather well maintained. The hotel also come with a nice pool and gym where one can work out the excess calories (if you wish to). Due to the size of the hotel, these 2 facilities can be crowded at certain timing. If ever there is any "unpleasant" experience with this hotel is the waiting time required to go up and down to your room and the breakfast venue. The average waiting time can be between 10mins - 20mins, depending on the time of the day and night. Though this is totally understandable, again given the size of the hotel. Overall, I would recommend this hotel to both first time and repeat visitors to Melaka.

Superb Hotel in the Heart of Town”
we booked 2rooms and were a group of 4gurls. we took the deluxe room facing the sea. i have been to malacca many many times for the past 20yrs, at least once a year, and this is the best best best hotel ever!!! stepping in, the decor blew me off. one of the hotel guys overheard my friends and i wondering where the lifts were to get to our rooms.. n he showed us the way without us asking. opened the lift door for us! when we reached our rooms, omg! we were amazed there were 2 flat screen tvs n even a couch! the decor is superb! modern fittings.. great bed.. lovely bathroom with choice to have a rain bath... im very picky with bathrooms.. n this is just great! water heater was hot n good! u can dim the side lamps.. they even had the option to listen to music on the tv.. great! breakfast is also great by malacca standards! the best breakfast i ever had! the guy cooks omelettes fresh for u.. reminded me of my thailand hotel stays. food is great! try their nasi lemak n curry chicken!! service is impeccable! they cleared our breakfast plates as soon as we were done with it. excellent service! the location is fantastic as well! just a 10-15min walk to jonker street, a 1 min walk to mahkhota parade shopping centre and it is also directly linked to the dataran megamall by an airconditioned bridge. overall, it was fantastic!!! had our new year countdown in my room.. tv fireworks food drinks great company... best stay in malacca in my entire 20yrs travelling there. it would be great if we could open the windows so we can really smell the sea.. n the aircon doesnt seem to set to 18deg but remained at 25degree. guess its the setting. other than that, no flaws! will definitely come back n i strongly recommend ppl to stay here!!!!

Inner peace within a bustling city”
A lovely hotel in the heart of a bustling city with a peaceful ocean view. The room is rather spacious & well designed, hence easier for me (partially crippled) to move around. Very attentive staff & the house-keeping staff did a good job on replacing the towel & replenishing the refreshment & amenities. A wide spread of buffet breakfast which I find quite appetizing. The spa staff needs to further enhance their massaging skill though. It's relaxing but not therapeutic. Complimentary parking for those whom are driving there. Hatten hotel is conveniently located in the heart of Malacca, surrounded by its serene ocean view, historical site & scrumptious nyonya food. Enough said, I am already discussing on my next trip to Malacca with my family. But, it seems like the Hatten suite is unavailable for reservation.

Hatten Hotel...the gem of Malacca”
We simply love our 2 nites stay at Hatten Hotel Malacca. The room is superb! What you see from the pictures are exactly what you'll experience upon check in. A spacious deluxe suite room with 2 LCDs is just fantastic especially with a young child who must have cartoons to keep him occupied. Breakfast is super wide spread. A good mixture of local and western cuisine. Location is plus point. It's central to everything. We walked to Jonker Street and the rest of the attractions around Malacca town. Surrounded by the 3 major shopping malls, where you can easily find good eats, outlet shoppings even foot reflexology for the tired legs. Great customer service from all the staff! We'll definitely stay at Hatten again very soon.

Central location and love the room and pool”
Travelling with a young toddler means locations has got to be everything, so Hatten was perfect for a short getaway in Malacca. It's convenient to all the shopping malls and right in the heart of Malacca city. Also a short drive away to the heritage sites. We had the Premier Suite and the room was reasonably spacious and clean. Fantastic views and fantastic services i.e. welcome drinks, fruit basket etc. Check in and check out was great and fast. The pool was of course lovely and overlooks the Malacca city which was great. One disappointing factor was the food which wasn't really good and also the shared parking with the malls.

Surpassed expectations”
I've read both the positive and negative reviews prior to my stay. Fortunately, I've not met with any of the unexpected outlying hiccups experienced by others. Check in and check out was a little on the slow side(10-15 mins?) but I reckon that this would have been improved against previous complaints. The pillow was fantastic. Would had bought one home had a new one been made available. Located between and interconnected to two major shopping centers was a big plus. Parking was safe. The lift's algorithm system can seriously use some intelligence on its firmware update if there's such a thing. Double validation for carpark exit; once over hotel counter and another time within carpark itself before finally exiting at the gantry is another redundancy like their unintelligent lift algorithm to give you an idea. Having experienced both the City and Sea view rooms, I would think that the sea view room is nicer if you get a room above makhota hospital(17th floor and upwards). The city view has its charm, but as others have said, it can be noisy in the daytime if you're on the lower floors. Overall, I was satisfied with my stay and will definitely return. Holiday Inn is further off from useful amenities while Equatorial is comparatively dated but nearer to one of the two malls. Hatten hotel, being almost spanking new and more strategically located definitely takes the cake outright assuming competitive pricing.

Wonderful Hotel”
We have visited Malacca 3 or 4 times now. Of all the hotels we stayed at none can match the standard set by Hatten Hotel. The most outstanding feature about the hotel has to be their staff. Every single member of their staff that we encountered are super helpful and courteous. Special mention for the staff who handle the 11th floor restaurant, especially the breakfast buffet. They are simply a very hardworking group who have to handle so much and always wear a smile at the same time. My congratulations to all Hatten Hotel staff - keep up the good work. The cleanliness is another fantastic feature of the hotel. A lot of effort is taken by the cleaning staff to always keep all corners of the hotel clean and fresh. Wonderful job! The hotel is conveniently located nearby so many shopping malls and eateries - all within walking distance. Definitely no regrets staying at Hatten Hotel.

Excellent”
We chose Hatten due to its location which is walking distance to everything in Melaka City Centre - Taming Sari Tower, various museums, river cruise, and it is linked to Dataran Pahlawan shopping mall. We booked for a Premier Suite which was located at the premier floors, where we are entitled to refreshments at the premier lounge (they've got coffee machine!), privileged check-in/out at the premier lounge, soft drinks in the mini bar are FOC, breakfast at the sky lounge with scenic view of Melaka City. Room-wise, the suite has a separated lounge which has a long couch and TV. Perfect for my 7-year-old to sleep in. Our bed was king size which was adequate for a couple + 1 toddler + 1 baby to sleep in. The room size was not too spacious though but OK for us since we just use the room for sleeping only. Swimming pool was superb for the kids. The infinity pool was looking over Melaka City. The sauna was FOC for hotel guest which is also a plus point. All-in-all, we enjoyed our stay at Hatten and definitely will stay there again if we were ever to visit Melaka City again.

AWESOME STAY IN HATTEN HOTEL!”
We had an early check-in and was so happy that they got my room ready as soon as I reached there at 12noon. However, the queuing up to check-in took quite some time as there were a lot of guests. But nevertheless, I'm so happy that I got to check-in early! The room is clean and just like you see the photos of the hotel at agoda, it's definitely the same! I'm impressed with the breakfast at this hotel! It's like I'm so spoilt for choices as there is really a lot of food to be eaten there. There's the malay food like nasi lemak and for those who don't really eat rice in the morning, there is cereals for breakfast too! Overall, this Hatten Hotel is the best! The malls are located nearby and it is so convenient I would say. Will definitely choose Hatten Hotel again if I'm coming to Malacca again! ^_^
