Great room and comfortable beds”
We booked a family room with an additional bed for our stay. I was expecting the room to be crammed because of the extra bed but it was surprisingly spacious. The pier and the night market are a stone's throw away from the hotel and there are a number of local restaurants and roadside stalls in the same vicinity which makes it very convenient for travellers. We were a little disappointed with the breakfast as there little food left after we returned from our early morning river cruise to the river market at about 8.15 am. It would have been good if staff had exercise a little bit more initiative to offer guests a bowl of hot pho or an omelette when the other food have been depleted. Despite the disappointing breakfast, I would probably still choose to stay at Hau Giang again.

Our stay in Hau Giang Hotel was very pleasand. The staff was helpfull and helped us arrange tour at the Mekong river and gave us information about the area. It was about 8 minutes walk from the riverfront.We reccomend this hotel!

Nice hotel in great location in Can Tho. Welcoming and very kind staff at the reception desk. Clean room, the only complaint: the mattress was a bit aged. Good buffet breakfast on the terrace on the top floor.

Hotel was comfortable and good value for money. Good location for the sights of Can Tho - river, pagodas, museums (although they are closed on Mondays which is when we were there!). Girls on reception lovely and even sorted out the problems we'd had with accessing the internet in Vietnam. Breakfast buffet very interesting.

Great location and big clean rooms!”
Perfect place to explore Can Tho for 3 nights.. Love Can Tho because it's easy to walk to Eat street, night market and evening river strolls. One of the bigger rooms we had during our Vietnam trip. Only negatives is spotty wifi (works fine in the lobby) and an ill fitting tub. Useless tub dropped in an existing shower stall and it's not installed properly, making it musky. Plus it's ackward to get in and out of the tub.

nice short stay to get into the Mekong Delta”
We came from the Phu Quoc Island, just had a quick stay in Can Tho to go to the Mekong Delta. We started early in the morning, so we couldn't try the breakfast. Staff was very friendly, late check-out was no problem without any extra charge. The room was basic and clean.

So-so hotel only...”
It's a very old hotel. But yet very clean and no mushy smell. Location is fantastic and walking distance to small eateries, night market and Can Tho Pier. The cons were poor water pressure and we only realized it during the night when we wanted to shower but we were too lazy and tired to change the room because we had opened our luggage and brought out the stuffs we needed. (I advise to make a check the moment you check into the room). The tv in the room was pathetic. We had a 24" flat-screen TV and was really too small for us to watch. Lastly, buffet breakfast was not really nice. The hot food were mostly Vietnamese food and not delicious at all. Pastries and breads were pathetic and horrible. Pancakes which were made on the spot were not nice at all. It was disappointing.

initially quite eventful ”
On check in we were told there was no reservation for us, little did they know that we spoke and understood the Vietnamese language, they told us they only had room for 1 night and we could stay at sister hotel the other night, we were not happy to be staying 1 night at each so said we would stay at sister hotel for the 2 nights, we went to the sister hotel via 3 motorcycles, were shown to our room and was shocked to find it a disgrace and very small and very inferior to what we had booked at original hotel,the window had a wall in front so no view. we took our cases and went back down to the lobby, we were then told a taxi was coming to return us to our original hotel, and understanding through Vietnamese language that was spoken it seems the manager from our original hotel had heard of our treatment and had demanded we were brought back by taxi, on return we were eventually given a fantastic room for the 2 nights we had booked.

Great surprise”
It was a great surprise for us to arrive at this hotel since we were backpakers and for the price of an hostel, we were greeted by a doorbell and had a big breakfast buffet. There was possibility of booking a tour at the hotel. The staff speaks english, was very friendly and accommodating.

hotel room was really nice and clean. they offered a private tours for the two of us for each which was great for a three boat tour. don't go to the spa they recommend across the way, it is very trashy, unless of course u are in for the "happy ending" type of massages.

Good location close to the river”
On arrival at the hotel we were upgraded to a suite which was a fantastic room. The hotel itself was spacious and clean and the breakfasts were good. Staff were effecient, friendly and helpful and as the hotel is located near the river and town centre is handy for sightseeing and eating out. We booked a floating market tour at the hotel. Overall we were very satisfied with our stay, great value for money and would recommend.

The front desk helped me a lot to find the right bus, booked a ticket for me onward to Chou doc and tried to help as much as possible. This hotel is far superior to the one the tour agency in saigon booked. Much better breakfast.

Good hotel for the price you pay”
It was okay. The hotel is good for the cheap price that you pay. The room was large and clean and the bathroom was clean and seemed newly installed. It seems like one of the nicer hotels in the area. There are other hotels which are bigger - we had nose around as there was little else to do in the area - but these hotels didn't seem particularly worth the extra money that they cost from what we could see. Overall, the hotel is cheap, and the rooms are large and clean.

Great hotel for a visit to Can Tho and the Mekong”
We were happy with our stay, it was exactly what we wanted for our trip to the Mekong. Being able to contact the hotel directly and book a room for 3 single beds for 3 adult children was also an advantage. This is an area in which the Agoda booking facility is deficient (not the hotel) in that Agoda doesn't allow the booking of 3 separate single beds even though the hotel does.
