I’d like to say that it was worth staying here if budget, location and neighborhood is your top priority. Location is good, close to Samgakji station and 1 station away from Seoul station, the accom is close to every tourist spots within Seoul. There are a lot of restaurants outside, even convenience store and lotsa coffee shop. They offer laundry service which is convenient if you need it (for a certain amount), drinking water, bath towel, body soap and shampoo and everyday cleaning are all provided. Downside, even tho they have a daily cleaning of all rooms, I found that dust and lotsa dirts under the bunk beds. Nevertheless, my experience staying here was good.

The location is great in terms of transportation, and the beds have a nice table at the end so you can leave all your stuff there. The showers are good and there's a kitchen area to cook some stuff. However, because the rooms (for women at least) are on the street side, it can be quite loud at night and in the morning, so make sure to have good earplugs. The beds are nice and spacious, also soft mattresses. However the mattress was maybe a bit too soft since I could sometimes feel the slats underneath. It's a bit inconvenient that the bathroom and kitchen are on different floors, but not the end of the world. There are also lockers but at the time I was there they were not able to be locked until a few days later. Furthermore the main areas were quite clean but you can definitely see some areas where it is not as clean. Considering the price it is definitely a liveable area. Of course you cannot expect it to be up to your standards.

Pros - 1. Decent room/price options This Hause Itaewon guesthouse provides you various room options, with reasonable prices. If you are a traveler trying to save some money, or if you really love Itaewon, this place will be great options. There are female-only-dorm too. So if you are a lady who wants to travel safely, this guesthouse maybe the not bad option. 2. Enough number of facilities There are total 3 bathroom/shower room in this guesthouse. 2 of them are located in 2nd floor, and one of them is in the 3rd floor. I have been staying during the new year eve period, and even though guesthouse was kinda crowded during the time, there was no need to wait for using the toilet. There is a kitchen too, with everything you need to cook. 3. Social atmosphere I got to have a chance to talk to three staffs and the most of the guests while staying in Hause guesthouse for three days. There was a few shy people, but you have to encounter many people while staying, since this guesthouse is kinda narrow overall. So either you want it or not, you will have some chances to get to know other travelers. Staffs were the one of the kindest people that I met during the trip. Cons - 1. Not the cleanest guesthouse in the world Although it looked like the staffs clean the whole places in guesthouse everyday, there were some areas(e.g. inside the personal cabinet) which don't look like clean much. Don't get me wrong, staffs are doing their best, vacuuming the floor often, doing the laundry for sheets and etcetera. But it looks like it has been a while since the deep cleaning of the entire guesthouse. 2. Mysteriously low room/water temperature There was a moment when I laughed so hard while staying in this guesthouse. There is a controller of heater to adjust the room temperature next to the table in the common area of the 3rd floor. But the controller was hidden behind some pieces of arts hanging on the wall. When you make a reservation through this site, it is a very cheap accommodation. The building is too old. The neighborhood around here is similar to what it was like 30 years ago in Korea. Real estate in Seoul is very expensive. So the architecture of some common people has not been improved. Therefore, travelers who visit expecting a sophisticated Korean appearance will be disappointed with the appearance and surroundings of the accommodation. This accommodation has the same structure as a normal family home in Korea. And, there are foreign staff. The cleaning condition of the accommodation is not good. But as a traveler, you don't clean more than him. Please clean up where you were. And if you have fleas from your trip, when you leave your laundry with the staff, spray all the pesticides on your clothes first and hand them over. You shower thoroughly, spray the bed with insecticide, and open the window to ventilate the room. Don't sneak your pain on others. Please. Have a nice conversation. Make a connection with Koreans. Someone might want to invite you home. You didn't come to Korea just to see the building. If you don't talk with Koreans, you won't be able to feel Korea well. Please talk to us.
