    Very good staff, overpriced rooms”
The staff especially the boy who is an all rounder was excellent. The courtyard is good.
The staff at the hotel especially the reception boy was very good. We were in Ajmer only for one night and it was in the beginning of May. It was too hot. The room didn't have AC and they had air coolers which were functional but for that heat, you need AC. Considering the price, I expected the room to have AC. The air-coolers were too noisy.

Nice family run hotel, very friendly and helpful.”
    Proximity to the rail station
The rooms are centred around an enclosed courtyard. The room was clean and quite spacious, although the decor was a bit dated and tired. The home cooked food for dinner was delicious. But unfortunately the pre-ordered breakfast failed to materialise the following day. There are maps (made by the owners) and plenty of advise on what to see in the locality. The hotel is near the rail line, so train whistles/hooters can be constantly heard, take ear plugs! Also the roads are chaotic, even for Indian, especially around the hotel. It's a great location if you are changing trains and need an over night stop. The wifi connection was variable within the room, better reception on the balcony walkways.

    charming bed&breakfast with genuine service”
great home cooked food, very helpful owner who takes a personal interest
it is an oasis in ajmer and is conveniently located with close proximity to the highlights especially the dargah. the owner and his domestic help- lal singh were super helpful. i needed train tickets to go to delhi and he spent half the day trying to organize that for me. its close to the train station, so a bit noisy with the train horns but a good trade-off with the location. the personal service, location and the homely touch, i would stay here again when visiting ajmer. ajmer is a small city with limited choices, staying here would be a good choice...

    interestlng traditional joint family home”
    friendly staff and excellent cooking
rather like the film Marigold Hotel! The young man Laloo is very keen and obliging. The owner's wife does the evening meal and is excellent cook, even taking into account my dislike of chilli, she produced two good meals. These have to be ordered at about 4pm. I was allowed to stay, in a different room, until the time to go to my night train.

Friendly owner, noisy area because of trains”
Large, well furnished rooms, hot water in bathroom, comfortable bed, adequate breakfast
Stayed one night on way to elsewhere. Owner friendly and very knowledgeable about Ajmer area. Inn is quite historical (was meeting place for up and coming leaders pre-independence). Unfortunately near rail line (as are most downtown places in Ajmer). Strange check in procedures supposedly because of number of Mosques in city. At first asked for passport photograph, then wanted to keep passport for a few hours. Tried to explain that tourists are not meant to go around without visa (hence passport) per Indian law. They should only have passport for very short time to photo copy and then return immediately. If they don't have time to do it immediately they should ask for it later when they do have time and not expect to keep it for a few hours. They had already decided on which room we should have although the place was pretty empty. We chose another room instead and they said they would clean while we were out having a meal. Room only partially cleaned. Floor was so gritty we wore our shoes in the room. Overall would only be worth about half the price asked but Ajmer has no good budget hotels.
