super clean amd quiet. The owner is very kind and his English is good so you can ask about colombo. The room is basically white color and window is big so it's bright enough during daytime without lamp and I couldn't find any mosquito. Room's spacious, bed is clean and mattress is comfortable, AC is quiet and TV works, hot shower doesn't have any problem, toilet is super super clean as well. there was not ant broken part. Olny one downside I felt is the room is on 3th floor and should climb up the steps, so if you feel difficult to use steps, it could be a little bit issue.

Minis residence was our first place to stay for our 3 week trip to Sri Lanka. Mini was the best decision we could make. He and his parents are very nice people and did everything to make our start a perfect one. His mother prepared some awesome traditional dishes for us. He himself is a very helpful Person. He explained us lots of things about his country, we enjoyed the chats every time. He has an impressive collection of vinyls, if you like music he will provide you nearly every sound on his self-built amp. Overall he is very interested in the people coming to his house. The rooms have everything you need. There's nothing to complain about. We'd like to say thank you on this way. For us it was a pleasure to stay at Minis residence.

The staff at Sunrise Boutique were very friendly and made sure my stay with them would be a pleasant experience. Unfortunately my trip to Sri Lanka started rather badly as I had lost my ATM card at the airport, but the staff were very helpful and made some phone calls, which eventually got me my card back - short version of the drama! Thanks again for that! The room was nice, clean and spacious. The breakfast was really delicious. Sunrise Boutique is located somewhat south of the town centre but in a quiet side alley and the centre could be reached easily by tuktuk or even by public bus which I tried out for myself. No problem at all and quite an experience too.

Hotel janaki is in a quieter section of havelock in colombo within easy access of all you need with young children, safe and easy to walk the streets here, close to the university and just a 300 rup journey to the busy centre. The hotel itself was really good, a little quirky and very welcoming. A nice big room with all you need re tea/coffee, tv, good ac etc. The breakfast was excellent with an array of western and local dishes and the pool was great for keeping the kids amused. The staff were thoughtful, friendly and really helpful.( one example was they made a breakfast pack for us all on our day of leaving as they realised we would miss breakfast, we didn't request this, it was offered and was very gratefully received). They were kind and great with the kids even though our boys (6&4) seemed to spend half the day running around and using the various lifts. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel, for colombo its great value.

Thank you to Fiona, Glenn and Sita for making our Colombo stay as easy and enjoyable as it was. Nothing was too much for our hosts who went beyond their duty to make sure we were given a detailed list of suitable places to see and restaurants to eat at. We had a late flight on the evening of the day we were checking out and Glenn suggested we leave our luggage at the hotel while we went into the city to enjoy our day. He made arrangements for us to use their personal shower before finally leaving their hotel, 8 hours after checking out! The taxi service that Fiona arranged for us to the airport was perfect too. The breakfast was the best we had in Sri Lanka and everywhere was immaculately clean, thanks Sita. The only thing I'd like you guys to think about improving is to install mosquito nets in the guestrooms. I lost count the number of times I had to jump up and swat them.

We had the train ride from hell coming back to Colombo from Kandy. Entering Havelock Sanctuary Apartment at amost 10pm, we were welcomed with a large glass of fresh fruit juice which at that time felt like heaven! (The juice tasted amazing, it wasn't just because we were tired.) The room was clean, gorgeous, really comfortable with all facilities. Staff were very friendly and flexible when we requested late checkout. The location is convenient and safe for solo travelers. Entry to the hotel is only accessible if the staff let you in which makes the hotel even safer. Loved our short stay there!

The stay at ME Colombo was quite good. Most of our time we spend out of the hotel during our stay for a week. We paid for the room including breakfast. The hotel is newly built and the room and toilet is new. Every day the room was cleaned and fresh linens and towels were provided. Breakfast was good and healthy start with a fresh fruits. The location is good for us as we had some appointments with Lanka Hospitals and the hotel is very close to the hospital. Furthermore we chose the hotel as we wanted to stay in a very close place to Havelock City as our parents were staying there. The hotel is at walking distance to Havelick City.

Staff were prompt and responsive, and cleanliness was excellent. Our room had a few issues with the lights which staff attended to promptly but the problem persisted. We didn’t request it to be attended to further but it’s something to improve on in regular inspections. One thing that really stood out was the staff. I’ve stayed at many hotels throughout Sri Lanka but something about the staff here was above and beyond. Best Western in other locations is often low rated and budget, but this hotel is easily 4+ stars and the price was very reasonable. Will definitely be back!

It was a very enjoyable two last nights for my wife and I, staying at the Ceilao Villas. The hotel is in a lovely area of Colombo in a fairly quite neighborhood, but also set back from the street so you don't get any traffic noise. It is still within a 300 rupee tuktuk fare of the busy down town area of Colombo. There is some shopping within walking distance and lovely tree lined streets to walk down if you enjoy walking. A spa/small pool and slightly larger pool are available for a refreshing dip after a day site seeing. They are fairly shallow but well positioned so they were cool during the heat of the day. The room we had was great with the bed and pillows amazingly comfortable and a lovely layout with pretty smart ensuite bathroom. We could walk out of the sliding door straight into the garden/pool area. The owner is a great guy who helped us out with tuktuks, taxi to the airport and restaurant bookings. The other staff were all great too. I highly recommend the Ceilao Villas for your stay while in Colombo.

Highly recommend this hotel. We had a wonderful stay at this small, stylish hotel just a short ride from the crowded city area. Three of the rooms are set around a large,saltwater swimming pool and you can choose to have your breakfast table set up by the pool.The English and Sri Lankan breakfast options are very good (the continental breakfast option needs some additional bread/bakery and cereal components to match the standard of the other options). The hotel layout and design qualities are of the highest order and the staff and management just wonderful. They dealt very professionaly and helpfully with some late booking changes and complications (of our own making) and variations we needed to make in our ongoing travel arrangements. All in all a great hotel and great experience.

I stayed here while I was on business in Colombo. It was a great find as the price on Agoda Insider deals was very attractive, well below the cost of similar flats, and I was very surprised at how nice the flat was -- it was a modern, well-equipped and nicely decorated flat with good wifi and in a quiet location right in Havelock town. The hot water and wifi always worked (wifi slow sometimes, but that is true most places in Colombo). I am in Sri Lanka often for work and this was great as I had a kitchen and was near to all amenities - I will stay here again. The only issue was cleanliness. I realise that standards for cleanliness in Sri Lanka are not always high, but if operating a tourist establishment it is important to understand that foreigners expect clean -- not just tidy, but they don't expect to find other people's hair clogging the drains, cockroaches in the bathrooms, nail clippings on the kitchen counter, broken dishes on the balcony, dirty dishes in the sink, garbage in the bins that hasn't been taken out, ratty towels, shower stalls that haven't been cleaned after previous guests. As I was a longer-term guest, I simply cleaned on arrival and kept it relatively clean, but when I first arrived I was disgusted by the state of affairs. I would still recommend the place, and the manager was helpful whenever I needed anything. Not sure who is responsible for cleaning, but if that issue is resolved, it will be a top selection for future visits.
