A lovely oasis in Amman”
I'm so happy we chose to stay at Hawa! It was so comfortable and peaceful, and I would've loved to spend more time lounging and enjoying the facilities. It's really centrally located, but on top of a hill, so it can be tiring to walk home. Breakfast was delicious, and the cats, rabbits, and chickens were fun to observe. The outdoor lounge spaces are so inviting, and the indoor lounge has plenty of books to share and materials about Jordan. The staff were so helpful. It's a nice spot to do laundry and air-dry it. You can use the fridge, and there are tasty teas to try anytime. I love the character of the house!

Excellent area, out of the city, lots of character”
Location, location, location - the fabulous couple who run it - and the garden
After travelling around Jordan for 2 weeks and staying in large international hotels and resorts I wanted to stay somewhere out of the city and with a bit of character for my last night. Although Hawa is more of a hostel than a hotel I loved it there. It is private and secure. The couple who run it are genuinely friendly and laid back, the garden is just gorgeous (a hidden oasis) with views of the Citadel, and the location in a trendy up and coming area (Paris Circle) with lots of interesting cafes and restaurants -it's quite an arty area and I wish I'd had more time to explore. Although Amman has some steep hills I easily walked from Hawa to the Roman ruins and the Citadel and back again and I'm not the fittest person on the planet. I would recommend and would stay there again if in Amman.
