Hazelwood Guest House, not one of my better stays
The location as I was there in a buisness capacity
Not good! When I arrived there there was no one to meet me or to open the door to me other than a guest staying there. When someone did come to book me in she was quite rude and put out about things. When I entered my room I was very dissapointed. It was rather shabby and on closing the curtains to retire for the night the rail and curtain fell down. There was no breakfast on offer and I was so pleased I took my own kettle and cup as the ones in the main kitchen were nt very clean. Having retired at 9pm to my bed, shattered, I heard loud drilling and hammering from the house next door which is owned by Hazel Wood Guest House also. There was work going on in the property so I had to get out of my bed and knock on the door to let them know I was settling down for the night and needed to sleep. They were very apologetic about this and peace resumed. I won't be staying again.

Overall it is ok. It was diffcult to get to sleep on the first floor because of people coming in and out shutting doors and our room was close to a cafe self-serve kitchen. Breakfast was much simpler than in B&Bs we stayed before. It was toast, fruit juice, milk and bacon. Given the money you pay, can't complain much. One thing I want to complain: when I booked the place, it didn't alert me the price listed was for one person only and I assumed the price was per room since it is a double room I booked. But upon arrival, the host asked me pay another 10 pounds for the second person (guess it was for breakfast??)..

看板がないのがこまりました 夜くらくなってのチエックインだったので 住宅地の中にホテルらしくみえなくてわかりっらかった でも部屋は値段のわりに味のあるたたずまいで好感がもてました とにかくおちついた街並 ほっとできました
