Their staffs are very interesting people to talk to. (It’s hard for me to explain but give it a go.) I have to confess that I didn’t really have much time and energy to read hips of books during my stay. (But, I really like those books that they put on their shelves and it’s surprising for me to find magazines as NEON. 🥰) Besides, I super enjoyed the music that they played. However, I forgot to ask if there’s somewhere close as the live bar or pub for me to go. It’s really nice to stay in somewhere like this. During my visit in Tokyo this time was really busy and I couldn’t find extra energy to do everything that I had planned. (It might be another reason for me to go back again🤗 ） The most interesting thing about this place is that they have casual customers who just want to enjoy reading or just resting on the sofa for few hours. (Nobody was disturbing anyone else and it’s really nice if you just want to find somewhere relaxing.）

Good location, nice staffs. ”
It was a wonderful experience with the stay in book and bed Tokyo Ikebukuro. That’s my first time to stay in a capsule hotel. The staffs in the front are so nice. They like to help u with all of questions. All the public facilities are clean and convenient . If u can find a quiet place in Tokyo is not an easy thing. But here u can got books and a private corner for your self. Nice stay. Perfect.

This is one of the prettiest hostel I ever stayed in. It may become a little bit noisy, because people from the outside can come in and read, but I think it is worth to stay here for a night or two. If you want to experience sleep behind a book shelves, you should come here. Besides that, I think it's expensive for staying for long periods.

Great for money”
It’s a hostel, not hotel. All shares common spaces (1 large living room, 3 shower rooms, 3toilet rooms). Most of guests are young people from the world, though i saw a couple Japanese people as well. I was with my child and nephew, and felt safe at the hostel. Location is great. Highly recommended especially for young travelers.

Cute and affordable ”
Very affordable and cute, unique place to stay. I love the idea of the place and it's a very photogenic place to stay. A few things for me were that I found the rooms were a little small even for me who is built quite small and the ladder to the top level a little dangerous or placed awkwardly. Other than that the premise was clean, bathroom nice, location good and staff friendly. All in all great cheap stay.

Enjoyable Stay, but the compact bunk bed a bit small for a big person like me”
The stay itself was pretty enjoyable. Staff is friendly and let me store the luggage from morning. The atmosphere in the bookshelf area was good too to just relax a while before sleep. However, when I want to sleep to go to upper compact bed I have some issues to go up. The space to go up is a bit small for a slightly big person like me and I struggled a bit Recommend to stay, but would recommend to take the standard instead of compact one if you are not so small.

Chape and Cool”
It's so cheap and good hostel. We can enjoy many books. I recommend "compact" dormitory because it's a little bit far from book shelves. I think it may be noisy near book shelves until midnight, many people read books.

Excellent location & interesting hostel”
Few minutes walk from train/metro station to hostel. Books surrounding is quite interesting. Everything is clean. Nice staff. No locker to store your backpack, put it under your bed and just a small locker outside for store wallet passport and small camera only. Air condition is keep little cold, not so comfortable.

Great for bookworms”
I solely booked this place because I love books and libraries. Would recommend for anyone looking for some winding down time, cuddled up with a blanket on the sofa, reading a book. It is however a bit on the pricier end compared to other hostels due to the theme and it can be difficult for light sleepers to sleep as the beds pretty much open up to the common room. Also, there is conveniently an entrance to Ikebukuro station right outside the front door.

Nice location, interesting experience”
It's pretty cool to be given some quiet time to read books. Book lovers must try this hostel. Right next to Ikebukuro exit C8. I hope there can be some tables for writing as well. The lamp above the bed is a bit to hot and bright, can add shades.

No toiletries. If you need towel and toiletries you have to pay again. The bed was so hard not comfortable at all. The only thing that nice was the staff and the decoration of the place. You can get more good place with that price!

Interesting place to visit. However, the bed is so tiny so hard to really rest well. If you want to enjoy its atmosphere, suggest you visit at its afternoon open house hours. Highly don't recommend to stay over night.

No flexibility ”
No flexibility at all when I try to early check in. I came at 7 am, and I need to take early check in due I just came from other city but the staff allow me if I pay 540 JPY/hours, while check in time is at 4 pm. You can calculate how much I should pay for early check in. And also they didn't allow me to take a break at sofa inside. Fyi, they don't have a lobby.. I didn't take full day because need to check out at 8 pm. So, I have to pay full for 4 hours check in only.. and the room is so narrow, you even can't sit inside

Poorly priced for a hostel.”
This place is gorgeous but for what you pay, towels and basic necessities should not be an up charge. Beds were small and tough to get into, but the vibe / ambiance was wonderful. Pay a charge to sit and read but don’t sleep here—it’s overpriced.

Cozy place!”
I opted for this hostel for its 24-hour reception service. I arrived at the hostel after mid-night and the check-in process went smoothly. The hostel was not hard to find and was actually close to the shopping area and Ikebukuro Station. The place was really lovely. It's definitely like living in a dream for a book lover!

Looks great but is no good if you want sleep”
Fantastic concept, great location and good amenities but...the bed was very uncomfortable indeed, and there was loud music playing until midnight...impossible to sleep, made worse by people coming and going all night and the loud door shutting! I liked the books, I liked the beer....but the bed bit was sadly lacking.

Staff are exceptionally helpful. Place is well kept and maintained. Environment is conducive for you to do work too.
