I am from Singapore and I worked in the hospitality industry before, currently in the luxury retail trade. Therefore, I believed I knew what is professionalism and excellent customer service when I experience one. Front Office Reception: They have an amazing team of service staff. Almost everyone speaks good English and has a high energy level whenever guests approach them for assistance. The MVP among them has to be Jack, one of the most helpful and professional gentlemen with a big warm smile and enthusiasm in providing advice and local recommendations for the best of our experience in Hanoi. He even created a GROUP CHAT in Whatsapp for us, so as to allow us to text him should we ever need help or got lost in the City... how amazing is that!!! He went over and beyond in terms of service level for a 3-4 stars hotel! Essence Cafe: Both Annie and Alex(female) provided superb service during our dinner at the cafe. Smiley, patience, professional, attention to details. Food was YUMMY!

Perfect”

Everything was perfect. - Location in old town is perfect for sight seeing -Best staff I have had attend to me, especially Christine - One of the best mattress I have slept on - AC works perfectly - Sumptuous breakfast spread that changes day to day - Afternoon tea. Need I say more. Cherry on top of an already perfect cake. Highly recommended. Lived up to the hype.

COMFORTABLE ACCOMMODATION IN A GOOD LOCATION”

The hotel can consider having more hooks to hang the towels, clothes, etc. Perhaps have more switches to control the lights instead of just 1. This family room is very good, very comfortable. JOE, who is at the front desk, is exceptionally fantastic. He is not only very helpful and kind with my family and I. He is very good with all the guests as well. He is exceptionally smiley, always. I hope JOE can be rewarded and appreciated by the company. He is a role model to his co-workers. Christine, who is also at the front desk, had been helpful. Thank you very much for the few days of stay with ESSENCE.

Worth the money anyways, however, don't pick it if you want to get rest early at night. Location is surrounded by many local street beer restaurants and pubs, which attracts many tourists and local at night.

Nice hotel with professional friendly staff”

Pros: staff friendly, professional and overall excellent. Nice quiet, clean rooms. Great location for nightlife. Cons: watered down orange and other fruit juices for breakfast. Really it was just flavoured water and a very insipid colour - a bit pathetic. I only mention it as it was so laughable. No ironing facilities, no gym.

top notch service from staff from all departments”

Nothing quite beats the warmth and helpfulness of the staff here. Excellent location in the heart of Old Quarter, but that also entails quite about of noise before 12 MN when the streets in front are packed with diners. Highy recommend the suite with balcony as its away from the noise and very cozy. The breakfast is superb. Thanks again for the amazing warm welcome!

Our connectung room aircond had some problem and staff came with technician to fix even though it's midnight. They provided a fan because the are not able to fix. Staff also provided complimentary fruits and juices due to aircond problems. They fix the aircond next day and called us in the evening to check with us on the condition of room.

Staff were friendly and breakfast spread were adequate. We stayed in a connecting room, size was reasonable. However, the design of the bedframe was those oversize wooden frame which was bigger than the mattress, resulting my wife and kids knocking onto them on a few occasions. One room didn't have any window while the other came with a small window without any view. Hotel is located along a fairly busy street, but we hardly hear any noise during the night. Overall, my family enjoyed our stay at the hotel and will be back again. Regards, Wee Overall, we did enjoy our stay

Nice accommodation, it's the one of a few nice experience in my first Vietnam travel. There are many kindly attendant, especially Christine, she always provide nice service and answer my question as much as possible, thanks.

3 nights in Hanoi ”

If you are looking for hotel in central location, food and drink at door step, with exceptional customer service. This will be the hotel you should consider. On the other end, hotel room is not impressive and bathroom is small and old, despite staying in a junior suite. It didn't even come close to North American standard. There are many newer hotel around, with larger room and way cheaper rate. Calling taxi or grab is also challenging due to street closure during weekend evening.

A comfortable Home in Hanoi”

We are very happy to stayed in the Essence Hotel during our holiday. Their location is good, the hotel is clean & comfortable, the restaurant served nice breakfast, lunch and dinner. We are no regret to have our lunch & dinner during our short stay. The staff are always happy to provide any support during our stay in Hanoi. Last but not least, many thanks to Tom from buying tickets, allow us to shower before we ahead to train station, arranging taxi and guide us to the train cabin. Many thanks to Sarah Bui of all the kind assistance & tour suggestion during our stay. We enjoyed the water puppet show. We will never forget their smiling faces & definitely will return when we back to Hanoi.

Excellent hospitality ”

One of the favourite hotel I stayed during my time in Hanoi. Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the staff, Mr. Ryan and, our names were mentioned on the board. Ryan is very friendly and ensure our check in proceed efficiently and smoothly. The hotel provides us from good rooms and excellent airport transfer service.
