Most memorable stay in Japan”
Outstanding hotel. The most memorable stay we have experienced in Japan to date. The staff are genuinely warm and welcoming. A special mention needs to go to the reception staff and dining room waitress. The hospitality was remarkable and they are a true credit to this hotel. Conveniently located minutes from the railway station and close to all thatTakayama has to offer. Great rooms and wonderful buffet breakfast. Thankyou. We will be back.

Great location, Beautiful Garden, Wonderful Lounge”
First of all the location of the hotel is absolutely amazing. Very close to the Shinagawa train station. Walkable distance to many shops and restaurants close by. The hotel is surrounded by a beautiful traditional Japanese garden. If its still available, I absolutely recommend the "Lounge" it is worth every dollar or yen or whatever the currency you are paying with!! Enjoy!!

They have shuttle from n to Shinagawa station every 20 minutes and bus to narita airport every hours. Nice garden view and friendly helpful staff

The location is very good. There is a Japanese Garden at the back of the hotel. Just need 3 mins to walk downstairs and the slope and you will see the Shinagawa Station.

sakura season”
Enjoyed staying here. We had an upgrade we were told. There were no coffee or tea only a kettle. facilities to the station Shinagawa was great there was a shuttle we hardly used it, the station has lots of coffee shops famous bakery in the basement area. Took tours from the Grand Prince New Takenawa. Beautiful Japanese garden behind the hotel.

Spacious room with big beds ”
Rooms were big and comfortable , very beautiful garden , conveniently located near Shinagawa Station 7 minute walk . They have a shuttle every 10-20 min. but only until 9pm.

Grand Luxurious Convenient!”
Grand and luxurious hotel , but not expensive if catch it during an offer. Hotel staff speaks good English and offers impeccable service .Free shuttle service from hotel every 20min to and from Shinagawa Station . Big Garden behind hotel , good for Hanami during Sakura season! Will come again !!

Great hotel and room. The bathroom is kinda "old" and dated versus the great king size bedroom. Staff there was so great except for one person at the front desk, that ruined the stay for me.

Hotel is not far from Shinagawa train station. Easy travel by Shinkansen & JR. Not far from Haneda airport

Mixed Feelings ”
The hotel property is beautiful and service was excellent , but the rooms are small with outdated and beat up furniture for a 4 star hotel, at the Grand Prince Takanawa. The rooms need renovations. Be aware there are 3 Prince hotels on this property, which all share the same address. As an alternative, I would recommend staying at the Grand Prince Shin Takanawa because it is the largest and most impressive of the 3 hotels.

Unbearably hot rooms”
Although we enjoyed almost everything about the hotel, the room temperature was very hot. When I called front desk to ask how to cool it down I was told “can only heat room, not cool down. You must open the window.” The window was very small and made no difference. Due to the heat the sleep was very bad and so we did not enjoy our stay here. The staff and everything else where excellent though.

The service staff is outstanding, efficient and mindful. The room at 4th level is basic. It is comfortable and clean. There is no bottled water provided, instead there is a kettle but without any tea or coffee. The aircon circulation in the room is rather poor so we used the stand alone humidifier as a fan to circulate the air in the room. Initially we were feeling the poor circulation but at the end of the stay we just got used to it.

Nice hotel, with a beautiful Japanese Garden”
Hotel is not that far from Shinagawa station, but the walk is uphill. However, shuttle is provided if you don’t wish to walk. The hotel lobby is very nice with a beautiful Japanese garden too. Airport limousine bus also stops at this hotel, thus make it convenient to go to and from airport.

Hotel is getting old and needs renovation of rooms”
I thiink for a four star hotel - even if if only wants Asian visitors, it should have at least one free English movie and/ or sports tv channel

the view was great but location is a bit far”
we had a view of the tokyo tower from our room which was awesome but if you have children it was quite a bit of a long walk to shinagawa station. they had a shuttle though, so if you go out and go home during the shuttle hours it would be convenient. there just might be better options nearer the circle line.
