Nice location, service and facilities”
Its location is very nice. You can conveniently access to all kinds of public transportation whether metro, JR and keisei. This hotel is surrounded by a lot of shops, restaurants and convenience stores. The price is very resonable with various room/hotel facilities and amenities. The size of the room is actually bigger than APA despite almost the same or even lower price. Every guest receives complimentary breakfast. My request upon three rooms adjoined was accepted. Although one of the rooms I've booked was a single room, I got all double rooms with no extra charge in order to get the rooms next to one another. That's so impressive. I highly recommend you guys to stay here.

Walking distance train station : naka-okachimachi,ueno station & okachimachi station Nearby eatery place : ameyoko street,sultan restaurant,family mart & 7 eleven I travel with 2adults & 3 kids..i choose double bed room..nicely fit for us Comfortable bed!nice room & i give 5 stars for cleaner..they clean my room everyday without miss..everything was perfect! And for Malaysian,please stay here..easy to get halal food . 5 stars also for all the staff,very efficient & fluent English. Definitely will stay here again!

It's very clean and cosy, with friendly staff and very accessible location. It's only a 5 min walk away from Ueno station (to go to many parts of the city) and Keisei Ueno station (direct Skyliner from Narita Airport). There are many eateries, shops and convenience stores around, but you cannot hear them from the hotel so you can still rest comfortably. Very nice stay!

It is a nice experience for staying in Hotel Sardonyx Ueno. There is free breakfast and some useful materials. All the staff are nice, helpful and efficient. The room is very comfortable. Concerning the transportation, it is in the centre of different metro and railway. Thus, it is very convenient for traveling. Besides, there are many restaurant in surrounding.

Superb location and size! ”
The hotel is conveniently located between Ueno (5 mins walk) and Okachimachi station (2 mins walk) inside Ameyoko. Location is superb and there are several a conbinis nearby. Hotel room was clean, good size and comfortable. I really enjoyed my stay here and will be back again! :)

The Kind of Hotel We Should Have in the US”
Reasonably priced and very comfortable. A downhill five-minute walk from Ueno Station if one takes the Hirokoji Exit ( the main exit from the Central Gate area). In a great city neighborhood with a friendly staff, the Sardonyx is always at the top of my list.

Great Stay”
Great location, just a 5min walk from Ueno station. Also neat thr hotel is the tokyo Metro. Nearby are plenty of restaurants and convenience stores. Checking in was a breeze, the staff speaks english. The rooms are on the small side but it was adequate for two people. The rooms come with complete anenities such mini ref, television and hair dryer. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. Airconditioning was cold. Housekeeping was done everyday. Bathroom was also on the small side but again come with complete amenities such as toothbrush, shavers shampoos and conditioner. Water pressure was strong and hot water was available. Set breakfast was ok but choices are limited to just 4 items. Overall, it was a great 6 night stay. Would definitely book again this hotel when in Tokyo.

Great location, good value, helpful staff”
I feel so lucky I found this hotel for my week in Tokyo (very 1st visit). It’s in the middle of picturesque Ueno and next to the subway. Great AC, laundry facilities, clean room and nice bathroom. Highly recommended.

Convenient place to stay!”
Lots of restaurants, shops and lively streets in the surrounding areas (and stays open later). Makes it so much easier for foreigners like us that do not know the lay of the land. Very well located off of the Yamanote line. This means quick access to all the neighborhoods you'll likely visit in your stay in Tokyo. Room has all your necessities you need plus more. Staff was always helpful and friendly.

One of my favourites”
The place was easy to locate, friendly and very inviting staff. Check-in is at 3PM but you can bring your luggage any time and they will even bring it to your friend! Free breakfast. Wish I stayed longer. Definitely would recommend. It’s even beside the popular market where you can shop and get street food. That was very cool.

Great experience”
The location is exceptional, 3 mins walk to JR Ueno Stations and 5 mins walk tokyo metro station. Numerous restaurants\cafes\bars\diners around, also close to at least 5 cosmetics shops. You can literally get everything you need within 2 blocks. Last but not the least, their services is GREAT, the receptionists are all kind and helpful, especially the one named Li was super professional and cheerful. She actually made our day!

Great location”
Great location, just 5 minutes walk from Ueno JR station or subway Ueno Okachimachi station. There are a lot of shops and retaurants nearby. Room is very clean but a bit tiny bed.

Nice hotel”
Location is good, near night market and train. Outside ground is flat and smooth, suitable for dragging luggage. Wifi is reasonable. Room is as expected. Will have little difficulty to open 2 luggage at the same time and expect to have walkable space left. Hotel service is good. Staff understand English. Near express road therefore sometimes might hear the cars driving by. Central control air con/heater.

Hotel Sardonyx Ueno”
The accommodation was an easy short walk from the train station. Easy access via Narita airport. Trains, metro lines, busses were all short walks and easy access. Great bustling location, lot's of street food to pick from (fresh cooked on the spot), great variety of shops - food to retail. I wasn't keen on the location prior to booking and wanted to be closer to Shinjuku (which would have been much harder to navigate with luggage), Ueno exceeded my expectations in terms of location, food choices, and hop on off direct line to Narita Airport. Neighbouring Asakusa was outstanding and access to beautiful Ueno park is a short walk. Hotel staff was excellent and very helpful, the reception is open 24hrs. Rooms were slightly larger than other hotels around Tokyo, very well kept, neat and tidy. I also needed a Taxi a couple of times and it was easy to get right outside Hotel Sardonyx. I would stay in this location and Hotel again.

Located in the center of shopping and sightseeing spots in Tokyo. Very accessible, well facilitated, cleaned and cozy. Do not expect much on food in the accommodation, but you can find many restaurants around.
