Clean, comfortable, convenient, nice staff”
I chose Ueno New Izu Hotel because it looked clean and tidy on the photos, and it turned out to be clean and tidy (there was only one instance when the cleaning staff forgot a towel in the room). The air con is super nice in a single person room, and the built in washroom is recommended over shared bathroom. There is a Lawson right below the building and a 7-11 nearby. Less than 5 mins on foot to Ueno Station with JR, metro and Keisei line directly to airport. Shopping/market street near Ueno station provides a lot of food options. Staff is friendly and they even helped me pick up a package. Would stay here again and I recommend this hotel. The only thing is that they do not provide breakfast, but the convenience stores have and nearby stores have all the breakfast you need. Hotel also provides free umbrellas for use on rainy days.

Great Service and Good location”
Great little hotel in a quieter part of Ueno and not too hard to find. By second day I discovered there was a underground subway path that brought me really close to the hotel and that came in handy on the rainy days! All the staff were nice and helpful as well.

Good location and services”
Good location, Not far from Ueno station, Ameyoko market and Lawson. The room is clean. Staff can speak English as well and good service mind. There are many labels in Thai languages. Although, My room doesn't have an air conditioner. I can't adjust the temperature in my room because it is a central air conditioner that controlled by the hotel, so I opened the windows to get cool to replace the heater.

Staff were helpful and can communicate in English. Small rooms but clean and nice good for resting.

Nice Hotel for Short Trip”
I stayed for 3 days during winter season. Nice room, enough for two people. I don’t think the heater is on because I’m freezing every night (I came from tropical country so im not used to cold weather). Hot water is running perfectly, they have refrigerator to store your drink. Lawson is located right beside the hotel. Staffs are very nice.

The room is very clean and in a good shape. All staffs are very nice. The location is a little bit far from train station but worth the price.

The hotel is near the train station. There are restaurants and a 7-11 convenience store in the neighborhood. The room and bathroom were clean. We had a comfortable stay.

I've stayed in Japanese style non-smoking room for 2 nights. Before the check-in date, i asked staff for left my luggages for 1 day. After i came back from out of town, they bring all my stuffs prepared in my room. Very impressive!! Next to the hotel is LAWSON shop, so it's very convenience to find some food or things you need. The location of the hotel is around 4-500 metres from JR Ueno station and about 900 metres from Keisei Ueno station (If you comes from Narita airport by keisei skyliner train)

Quite new. Room is good. It's a typical Japanese small room. Everything works fine. There is a massage chair in the lobby.

Near UENO Station”
Rooms are basic and clean, a bit small but overall it's good since most hotels in Tokyo aren't that big.
