Quiet, yet remarkably central, you almost get to experience two different places at the same time by staying here. Many destinations are walkable from the doorstep such as the famous Tower Bridge, located just 8 minutes away. From there you are moments away from the South Bank Walk, a popular pedestrianised route from the Design Museum to the London Eye with major attractions along the way - HMS Belfast, The London Dungeons, The Shard (Europe's tallest building), The Golden Hind, Borough Market, Shakespeare's Globe, Tate Modern, The National Theatre and Royal Festival Hall, to name only a few. On the other bank, the Thames Walk brings Wapping with its cobbled streets and ancient pubs - at least three claim to be the oldest Thames tavern - probably true as Dickens, Pepys, and Samual Johnson were all known patrons. Going north it's a five minute walk to 'Wiltons' - Europe's oldest surviving music hall and still entertaining; and then on to vibrant Brick Lane, Shoreditch and Spitalfields markets for some seriously funky shopping. And if you're tired? - there's always a Jack the Ripper pub for refreshment and a tale or two to tell.
