Wonderful Country Hotel with Character”
Booked because pic of room looked great and found the room and the hotel in general far surpassed our already high expectations. Our room was huge, with high ornate ceilings and plenty of large windows to make it light and welcoming. Shared bathroom facilities were equally wonderful and included a large bathroom with double showers and double basins. Service and facilities were absolutely first rate. Could not fault anything!!

We found the large bed comfy and We appreciated the lovely touches like our own soap and hand cream in the bathroom. Even though an ensuite isn’t available, the double shower was very handy.

The pub below didn't open on the days I was there, so very quite. Room very pleasant and you can open windows. Nice selection of teas. Shared bathrooms nicely appointed with piles fresh towels for hand drying.

Accommodation was good. Large spacious room, comfy bed. Central to shops. The bathrooms are a share situation at the end of corridor. Everything was very clean. Overall 8/10.

Noisy”
Had to go search for someone to book in and out as no one was there for this purpose Beautiful room. Tea coffee facilities and a wash basin with brown cold water. Shared bathroom. I could hear everyone that was booked in pass my doorway as the passage door floor sqeaked every time someone passed . Lots of noise at night that sounded like I was in a prison .

We couldn't be happier with our stay at the Healesville Hotel. The rooms and bathrooms were beautiful. The pub was so pretty, and the food at Quince Restaurant was amazing. All the staff were very friendly. Would highly recommend this hotel, and we hope to stay there again!

Just lovely”
Gorgeous set up with the old deco décor, and lovely touches of nice soaps, cushions, rugs etc. Could perhaps consider adding breakfast for the price and given the bathrooms are shared. Great location in the middle of Healesville town.

Lovely old hotel with great staff and service”
The room was large and beautifully appointed. Being a hotel it was noisy until about midnight, but they recognised this in a caring way by providing ear plugs. Lovely natural soaps etc were provideda and there was a wash basin in the room, but I didn't realise there would be no ensuite bathroom. The shared toilets/bathrooms were very clean, they had spare towels and there was no waiting to use them, but it was a surprise - this should be made clear when booking.

Beautiful cosy hotel”
Loved the quaint cosy style of the heritage hotel ! Rooms were beautiful and comfortable (and huge) . There's a sink in there so basic washing needs are met, but toilets and showers are shared (very well maintained and equipped with all the basic needs). I was initially unaware of the shared toilet, and was quite disappointed about it - however other things made up for this mild inconvenience. The service staff explained that the layout was left unchanged due to the heritage status of the building - which I appreciate more than having an en-suite bath I suppose ! Food here is great - the dining room and the outdoor bar at the back is awesome too !

Old world ambience gives time to reflect”
Look, right up front, sharing a bathroom/lavatory with the unknown occupants of 6 other rooms may not seem an attraction. But put in the context of taking time out of the 'me/mine/my own' way of things these days and experiencing the gracious 'shared' ambience that our parents and grandparents would have enjoyed gave me cause to reflect on the truly good things in life. The things that matter. Like being polite, smiling at strangers in the corridor and plain remembering we are all human. Oh, and did I say the food and wine were fabulous and the room was very very nice? Sitting on the balcony watching the sun go down over town, enjoyig a local red, I could have been in another (simpler/nicer) time. And for that moment I was.
