We arrived to a warm hug and a fresh watermelon juice. After an initial bad experience at an airport hotel, we were relieved to come to heavenly homestay. We felt looked after in a warm home environment, but with plenty of privacy. Nothing was too much trouble. They organised tours of Fort Kochi and the Kerala backwaters, an ayurvedic massage, and a Kathakarli performance. As well as recommending great dining spots, they also organised a phone SIM card, an Australian charger adapter and organised all of our laundry. Last but not least, they offer offer the most amazing, abundant breakfasts that will keep you going all day. We recommend Heavenly Homestay to anyone.

Didn't quite live up to our expectations”
We booked Heavenly Homestay because of the great reviews, however our room was incredibly tiny, really only a bed you could move around, and the bathroom was quite stuffy and had a really bad, chemical smell to it. The breakfast was as good as everyone says, however I'm not gonna lie- I myself don't like being watched while I eat. Also, the location was about 15 min walk from Fort Kochi, so it could have been closer. Finally, there was a power outage that was said to last for 30 Min, though we checked out before the power went back on. The staff was very nice and the room was spotless.

Lovely homestay!”
I and a friend stayed at this homestay for 2 nights in March 2016 and wished we could have stayed longer. Our rooms were beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean. The aircon worked a treat, which was a godsend as there was a heatwave in Southern India and it was boiling hot! Mary and Patrick were the perfect hosts, warm, friendly and extremely helpful and Mary's breakfasts were amazing! She even sent us off with a packed breakfast of egg sandwiches the morning we had to leave early to catch our bus! The homestay has a lovely garden and is very quiet, the only downside of this being that it is a little way away from the 'centre' so that we found ourselves taking a lot of tuk-tuks to avoid walking in the blazing heat. However, this wasn't really a problem and there were so many good points to make up for it. Altogether, Heavenly Homestay is a 'home away from home', with lovely hosts, rooms and service and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. Thanks and very best wishes to Mary, Patrick and the girls.

Great Stay at Heavenly Homestay!”
I greatly enjoyed staying at Heavenly Homestay for 5 days in May. It was quiet and peaceful; the room was spotlessly clean and equipped with everything I needed/wanted; there was plenty of hot water, and the breakfasts were EXCELLENT. But the best thing about Heavenly Homestay is the wonderful owners, Patrick and Mary, who go out of their way to make their guests feel at home. They were both extremely kind and helpful to me. I'll definitely return to their lovely homestay the next time I'm in Cochin, and will highly recommend Heavenly Homestay to all of my friends.

Fantastic!”
Patrick and Mary were excellent hosts at Heavenly Homestay. We stayed at the start, and again at the end of our trip around Kersla, and we were really well looked after. Our first room was upstairs. It was spotlessly clean, and, unusually for India, had a kettle, and tea making facilities. Breakfast was great - in fact, we were overwhelmed by the hospitality - fresh fruit, fried eggs, omelette, egg curry, leaf curry, cauliflower curry, toast, jam, tea and coffee etc. more than enough to keep us going for most of the day. Our second room, on the ground floor was smaller. Again very clean, but no kettle etc here. It was noisier here, with the mozzie door constantly opening and slamming shut. We could also hear the family as they were up very early. Not a huge problem though. Patrick arranged anything we needed - he was very helpful, organising transport, and making suggestions where we may like to visit, and offering to arrange trips. We mostly arranged our own at a keener price, but he didn't seem to mind that. He kindly printed boarding passes for us, and seemed very genuine. They are proud of their #4 rating on trip advisor, and would really like to improve on that. It was one of the nicest places we have stayed in India, and also one of the best value for money. I would highly recommend this establishment.

My wife and I stayed here for a few nights in Mar.2016 and were certainly made welcome by Patrick and his wife Mary. Our room was lovely and clean and even had tea and coffee making in the room. We were picked up from the airport and taken back when leaving and any other activity could be arranged by Patrick. The breakfasts were the best we had throughout India and Nepal and different each morning ( Patrick's smoothies were a bonus). The Home Stay is located within easy walking distance to restaurants and tourist shopping and the usual tuk tuks can be hired if you want to go further. All in all, it was a pleasure to stay here and can't recommend Heavenly Homestay highly enough.

Heavenly Homestay highly recommended ”
We spent 5 nights at Heavenly Homestay, it was perfect - Patrick and Mary our hosts made us feel at home, our room was spotless and we had a feast for breakfast every morning! The location is great, with everything in walking distance or a short auto rickshaw ride away. Patrick arranged Ayurvedic massages for us which were amazing and a Saturday night dance performance at the Kathakali Centre which is well worth the 300 Rs. There are loads of wonderful restaurants near by - Fusion Bay, Mary's Kitchen, Rani's Sweet House and Pure Vegetarian and Sri Krishna cafe on Palace Road were our favourites. We also went to Pepper House for coffee every day which has a lovely cool shaded courtyard and great coffee.

We really enjoyed our time at Heavenly Homestay with Patrick and his family. The breakfast was delicious and he happily provided us with all the information we needed and booked us tuk tuks, tickets etc. I would definitely recommend the homestay! The arranged taxi at the airport was a life saver after a long journey from London.

Al little slice of heaven in Kochi”
We arranged an early check in because of our overnight bus. Arrived to a warm welcome and a scrumptious breakfast. Mary and Patrick are the best hosts we have met so far. We chose this venue based on the previous reviews and everything has lived up to the ratings. The rooms are spotlessly clean, food is excellent, customer service that other hotels could learn from. I could go on; but I guess you get the idea...... If you want a great experience, Heavenly Homesteads can provide it.

Great little Homestay in kochi”
We loved heavenly homestay - our hosts we great & nothing was too much trouble. Patrick and Mary were very accomodating - breakfasts were amazing & food kept coming. Patrick helped us organize a boat trip, local theatre & an Ayurvedic massage. Only downside was the size of the room - very small, but otherwise, clean and comfortable. Thank you Patrick & Mary!

A place of love”
I was in Cochin 3 years back and could kick myself that I didn't stay at Heavenly. He is a well mannered and smiley host that gets you settled down very quickly in comfort. The girls and I absolutely loved our air conditioning in the rooms and neat bathroom. This spot is VALUE FOR MONEY I GUARANTEE. We can't wait to return here after heading to Alleppey for a short visit. His wife is a GEM. They took the girls to town for shopping together and also gave us a gift upon leaving. Really kind giving people - beautiful souls for sure.

Wonderfully friendly family, great room”
What a lovely, friendly family including their mother cat and her family! Not quite in the middle of Fort Cochin but certainly close enough to walk. Room large and comfortably appointed. Breakfast was amazing, with much more than anyone would ever need - not possible to go away hungry. Would stay there again.

they have fantastic Chai and plenty of breakfast also the clean room. but I couldn't feel the aggressive help from host except the actives required payment--like backwater trip and the Kathakali dance, also the charted for city sightseeing, we know it probably the most popular information that every guest need so they provided it , however, when we need to print out the flight ticket urgent, the computer didn't work suddenly--we understood the unexpected trouble, but instead of providing another help, they just sit and read newspaper.
