An overall very appealing and priceworthy hotel...”

good location close to edsa and the airport, large rooms, priceworthy for a genuine 5 star hotel, free parking, good buffet breakfast, large rooms with great views of manila from upper floors, but costly use of own laptop

The Heritage Hotel was the most pleasant hotel experience I had so far in the Philippines. It is a genuine 5-star hotel that is priced at about the same level as other 4-star hotels in the same area (Pasay City). The staff was very friendly and helpful, and I was accommodated in a large room on the 8th floor, overlooking the skyline of Manila. The swimming pool---at the groundfloor level, next to the breakfast buffet cafe---was also rsather sizeable, so that one could actually swim a few laps; it is open from 7 AM until 7 PM. After shutting off the computer, it was impossible to use the residual time after the 24 hour period had elapsed, so that it was necessary to purchase abother 24 hour connection....

Pleasant hotel near the airport in Manila”

Location, near to Airport and Mall of Asia, Helpful staff, quiet

The Heritage Hotel is a stand-alone hotel near the airport and Mall of Asia in Manila. We spent the night there flying into and out of Boracay. It is not a very new Hotel but appears to be well maintained. The swimming pool was being retiled while we were there. There are places to eat within walking or a short cab ride, but the food at the heritage was decent. The breakfast buffet was the standard that you see in most hotels in Asia, and the sandwiches we had for lunch were good. We did not try the dinner buffet. The rooms in the Heritage are large compared to most modern hotels with lots of room in the bathroom. The furnishings look to have been updated recently and where in good shape. The bed was comfortable and the room had a mini-bar. For the price the Heritage Hotel is a reasonable option in Manila.

My Stay At Heritage Hotel”

The Manager and the Lobby Staff were very hospitable, friendly and accomodating. Lobby, Room, Restaurants and Casino were the ones I liked most.
Outside of the Hotel needs cosmetic repair.

My stay at the Heritage Hotel was very pleasant and comfortable. The Manager, lobby and reception staff were very friendly, hospitable and accomodating. Customer Service was fantastic. I checked in alittle bit late and my room was upgraded. The room itself was nice and very pleasant. The other reason why I stayed at the hotel was to be able to try my luck at their casino - the live band, dealers, pit bosses and the rest of the casino staff were awesome - service with a smile! The lobby Restaurant is open 24 hours a day so eating was not a problem. The buffet served during lunch hours were great - foods were freshly cooked and alot to select for a hungry stomach. Overall, I like to stay again in Heritage Hotel next time I take a trip to Manila. I recommend this Hotel to anyone planning a trip to Manila - My three days in the hotel were unforgettable and awesome experience. BZ to the management and staff of Heritage Hotel!!

great friendly hotel”

The Heritage Hotel is where I always stay when I'm in Manila, the reason I keep going back is simply it has great service with friendly staff who always remember my name when I go back, which always makes you feel at home. This is typified by Jenny who answers the room service calls, who always welcomes me back and has time to chat for a few minutes to find out how my wife and me are doing. The rooms have been tastefully refurbished and the restaurant will also be refurbished in the near future. The food is also good and they always have good bands in the lounge area where you can relax and have a few drinks listening to nice music. They also have a casino if that is what you like to do. The hotel is close to the airport and should cost no more than 60 pesos, unless its the airport taxis. Make sure they have there meters on otherwise they will try asking for 300 pesos if you are a Westerner. I never pay more than 100 at the most. The hotel is also close to the impressive Mall of Asia and the new waterworld park and again will not cost more than 50 pesos, but the hotel offers a free shuttle to and from the mall throughout the day. The Heritage is a very good quality 5 star hotel at good prices and will appeal to lots of people, but backpackers will probably choose the cheaper hotels that are in Manila. I have stayed at other hotels but to me The Heritage is the best. Great hotel!

Great Location”

Location, casino, food
Pool, traffic

The Heritage Hotel is on of the larger hotels in Manila. It is located between 20-45 minutes from the airport. The traffic in Manila is a disaster and this in mind you better expect 45 minutes traveling. The Hotel has a in house casino. It is not really Las Vegas Style but for a night at the tables it is still nice. The food quality and variety is great. Even the room service menu is tasty and inexpensive. The hotel swimming pool is sadly very poor because it is small…. The Hotel is located in on of Manilas red light districts ( i forgot the name). Just go out of the hotel main door, cross the road (good luck with that traffic) and you find a entertainment complex with lots of bars inside. Those bars are nice, inexpensive and have dancer girls which offer all kind of services. The girls are all very beautiful. So you dont need necessary a taxi and this is GOOD news. Taxis are inexpensive but the traffic kills everything. At night the taxi drivers change to formula 1 racers. Mine was Schuhmacher, i think….

wonderful staff”

caring staff

I don't have much to say about the Hotel , but the staff went above and beyond their required duties to help us. we had been ripped of by a local travel agency and when i spoke with the hotel manager, Jay Sacluti he was very kind and concerned. I was surprised that he worked so hard to help us. He first listened to what happened and asked us what exactly we wanted to do. Call the police?, call the travel agent?, etc. He put all his other work down and said "I will fix this". He put us in contact with the head of security ,Rence Darynn. Rence was absolutely inspiring to say the least. He took charge of the situations. Long story short Rence got our money back. He told us "Hey relax, your not just a guest here at the Heritage Hotel, your family and we will take care of you". I'll never forget the heritage hotel for that. they took a terrible situation we were in and helped fix it as if we were really part of their family. If I'm ever in Manila again and need a place to stay, I know where i got family! Heritage Hotel, your part of the family here!

Great location and best room”

cocktail, breakfast buffet

lovely rooms, nice foods, friendly staff. I would give this hotel a rating of 3 out of a possible 5. The lobby was nice and looked to be well taken care of. In fact, when I walked in, there were personnel cleaning with great detail. The hallway leading to the room was in need of a make over. The once white walls need to be repainted and the darkened carpet needs to be changed. Nothing major, mind you, but a hotel claiming to be a “five-star deluxe hotel” needs to be in much better condition. Once in the room, conditions improved. The room was decently clean, although the décor seemed a little old. The bed was comfortable enough. The TV seemed a little small, at about 19 inches, but there were a good selection of channels. The city type view was pretty good of Manila Bay and Mall of Asia. The shower was kind of sensitive. Moving the temperature control knob just the slightest would result in a quick scalding or cold water. Of course, the water temperature would vary throughout the shower, but not too badly. One time, they seemed to have run out of hot water and I was left to take a not too cold shower. The breakfast buffet was mediocre. More over, the hotel puts out only one type of juice which is different everyday. Personal customer service interaction was excellent, as is Pilipino tradition. That is not to say they do not have anything to improve on. Twice I had to get new keys. The second time, I was told, was because I hadn’t used the key in the last 24 hours and for security purposes the system locks the key out. This was all well and good until the front desk person that gave me a new set of keys wrote my room number on one of the new keys. That is a big security no no. Also, several times, I did not receive my full compliment of towels. All in all, I would stay here again if, and only if, I plan to spend the majority of my time in the Pasay area, as the price seems to be right.

Great value-for-money hotel in Manila”

Central location, clean and comfortable interiors, friendly staff

Stayed at this hotel with my wife and daughter to celebrate her birthday weekend. The Heritage Hotel has always had that classic, go-to hotel reputation in our heads as it is one of the older and reputable hotels in the Manila area. The rooms were definitely comfortable and spacious, and the overall cleanliness of the bathroom, as well as the rest of the hotel, was very good. The pool was very enjoyable and it was huge! Perfect for families - kids who want to play in the kiddie pool, and adults who would like to tan or have a leisurely swim. The buffet breakfast were the only meals we had in the hotel but they were quite satisfying and had a lot of choice - BUT the only sad thing was the choices ran out easily and were not refilled (or took a long time to be refilled), even if we ate almost an hour before breakfast ended. The BEST AND WORST thing about this hotel has to be the location. BEST because it was very near the Mall Of Asia, Roxas Blvd (which has so many features, parks, attractions, restos, bars, etc), as well as Makati (another central business and commercial district), BUT WORST because the immediate area of the hotel is quite shady, cramped, and congested. PLUS it was hard to find safe, nearby stores, and/or groceries to get supplies from. But overall, we were VERY HAPPY WITH OUR STAY AND WOULD DEFINITELY GO BACK if we needed an affordable and semi-luxurious city vacation.

Awesome Hotel”

Location was great by being next to Mall of Asia, Airport, and Night Life

I travel to Manila at least twice a year and stayed at luxury hotels and resorts. I must admit that my stay at the Heritage Hotel far exceed other Hotels in Manila in customer service, costs, and just plain comfort. I was greeted when I arrived by every staff member, check in and out took less than 5 minutes. I was treated like family from housekeeping, bell service, and room service by them knowing what I liked and did not. I had fresh towels everyday, my soup was catered to my liking, and whenever I got into a taxi the bell staff made sure no funny business happened. I really enjoyed my massages that really relaxed me after a long day at meetings and shopping. I will not hesitate to recommend this hotel to any business traveler or someone looking for a great place to stay in Manila. See you in October

Manila Heritage Hotel Stay”

Excellent rooms, service, and prices.
Only two restaurants with limited food selection and we could not receive a hotel receipt because we made our reservation on Agoda.

This was our second stay at the Manila Heritage Hotel. We found just about every there was excellent, from the doorman to the desk clerk at check-out. The rooms were as nice as any I have ever stayed in. They staff satisfied our every need. The rooms were very clean, except I notice a hole in our carpet under the table that should have been discovered by the staff and repaired. The beds were firm, but very comfortable. The only two negatives I could point out are only two resturants with limited food selection and we could not receive a hotel receipt because we made our reservation on Agoda. We will work out the receipt with Agoda, because we will definately stay at the Heritage the next time we visit Manila.

We had a great time during our mom's birthday ”

The Heritage Hotel Manila shows deterioration. Outside of the hotel is quite dark and a bit dirty. Hopefully they take notice of this. I gave five star rating because though the three other rooms that our family got for our mom's birthday were available after 4pm, my partner and I got our room on time and we were upgraded.! Because of the upgrade to the best room, we have used the upgraded room for all of us get together in one room for our mom's birthday! Thank you, The Heritage Hotel Manila ^^

Location, Location, Location”

Proximity to terminal 3, Shuttle to MOA, Security

I have stayed at this hotel over 12 times and the reasons are the same. Proximity to the international airport makes it idea for night time fly in to Manila and next morning fly out to the provences. The taxi trip from Heritage Hotel, to catch an early morning Cebu Pacific flight from Manila's terminal 3 was timed exactly 15 minutes and cost 150 peso. The free shuttle to the Mall of Asia which was introduced some years back takes about 15 minutes also. One problem I had before was the high cost of in house meals. The hotel now offers a 12% discount to meals taken by in house guests. The other issue is the ongoing failure of the card readers for the doors and elevator. This has not been addressed and I had to ask for 2 cards to be replaced on this occasion. It can be annoying stuck in the elevator with other guests trying to get a card reader to operate. However, I will continue to stop over at Heritage, and already am becoming known to some staff who are always friendly and helpful.

five star accomodation”

very courteous bunch of employees
the accomodation is fine, the only problem I noticed when I said I don't need alcoholic beverages. they lock the fridge completely, you have to request to open the fridge. we have to buy our own bottled water. they're saying that bottled water is a compliment. when I requested, the answer I got was that I should have 2 bottles already. Paying that much money four 5 star hotel bottled water should be provided if so requested.

Every year we go home to the Philippines and visit relatives in the province, My wife and myself always stayed two or three days in a hotel in Manila to wait for our flight back to our residence in Florida. During our five years span in going home, if I'm not mistaken, I stayed three times in a row in Heritage hotel. The invironment is so pleasant its just like a home for us back home in Florida. The most part that my wife why she wants to stay in Heritage hotel is the closeness of all the commercial center in Manila. The transportation is very accessible, they even have the hotel shuttle bus going to and from the Asia mall. The one thing I notice that maybe they can improve, was the two hours waitng time for the shuttle bus. Every hour run period to trnsport and pick-up is more likely accepted since it not that far to go to and from the mall and back.. its so hectic waiting in line for taxi coming back when you're this old. Thanks again, we've always enjoyed our stay.

Frequent Visitor”

Rooms, Casino, Lobby, Dining and most especcially the Staff, from concierge to room keepers, excellent
Slots could pay better, but no down sides to report

I have always been a tigh wad and spent 10 years in cheaper hotels at a sacrifice for a quality that I did not realize I could have had for a few dollars more. Point is booking online really saves and the quality of service and stay is so much more for the money that I wish I could have found this place sooner. Hot water, good showers and bath, great food, close to Mall of Asia and Airport. Helpful staff that enjoys their job that starts and ends with a smile. The difference between the Heritage Hotel and the 3 star and lower hotels is unbelievable. Clean, beautiful, inexpensive, but get it with breakfast included. Superb buffet. No better deal in Manila.

Old Hotel Trying to Maintain High Standard”

Buffet Restaurant, access to transportation, free shuttle to Mall of Asia

The Heritage is close to the MRT and there are plentiful taxis in the area. The buffet restaurant is expensive but food is excellent, with plentiful choices of ethnic dishes, salads and desserts. WiFi is expensive if not included in your rate, as is the breakfast. I was mislead by the Agoda ad (or I misunderstood it), as despite my understanding that I had free Wifi for my notebook computer, and the statement of the front desk clerk, the operator told me my rate did not include free WiFi and I would have to pay 300 pesos for one day connection from my room. I was leaving the hotel for the airport in a few hours so I declined, and left the hotel having felt I was mislead. I probably will not return as there are many other less expensive hotels within a few kilometers that have free Wifi for all guests, and offer a nicer surrounding area. The Heritage is located in a very congested area in Pasay. Some nearby hotels specialize in short term stays of couples.

Upscale Hotel with all the Comfots”

Staff, Comfortable Rooms, Included Breakfast

We stayed at the Heritage Hotel in Manila at 3 different times during our stay in the Philippines (April-May 2014). Staff were pleasant and accommodating. Rooms were comfortable, but traffic was often noticeable in the room. Nicely stocked minibar in room - but very expensive. One small tin of Mango juice cost me $6.50 US. Many different room rate plans on Internet - some with breakfast and internet included. Some without. Do your diligence. Shop and compare. Overall, a good experience. When we return to the Philippines, we will most likely stay at the Heritage Hotel again.

Family Travel”

1. Accessible 2. Clean 3. Value for money

It was our first time to travel with our 9-month-old and it was a memorable one. The Heritage hotel is a great hotel to stay in the metro. It's just a few distance from SM MOA and food est. We were able to go to Ocean Park Manila through a cab. We passed by Star City and planned to go there as well by the next day but were able to do because our son got sick. Surely, the next time we'll visit Manila, we'll gonna stay in The Heritage Hotel Manila again. ;)

Lousey Hotel...one to avoid.”

Nothing stands out...its very bland in all departments.

i have stayed at this hotel 4 times, mainly because it is near the airport, and reasonably safe to stay in, in fact, perhaps the one aspect of the heritage hotel i can commend is the proximity to the airport and the safety aspect of the premises. however, the reason i am writing this review is because its time to put a stop to the gouging of money from foreign guest that goes on there, not only to me, but as i have witnessed to other foreign guests. the trick being played is to say the room booked isn't ready, and under the contract with agoda, it isn't required to be ready until 2pm....in my case 6 hrs later. they suggested i wait in the lobby and they generously offer a free coffee. but,and he is where a whole range of tricks begin. its just so happens that an upgrade is available immediately, for a nominal fee, and of course they will need an impression of the credit card to confirm if you accept the upgrade and any incidentals taken during the stay. well, what they do then is to double the room fee and match the incidentals, meaning for a 2 days stay, you pay double the starting price, and non of this is given in writing at this time. the shock comes when you depart. now if this were all they did, i would consider myself lucky, but they go one step further. the credit card impression for the room update and matched charge for incidentals is taken out of your credit card at the time of the change and refunded 3 weeks later, the incidentals are not contra ed off or stopped from going thru at check out time. so the grab by heritage can turn out to be 4 times what was originally planned. they get a room payment from agoda, an updated payment on the spot and an incidental bite on the spot. if few incidentals are used, they then bill for those and refund the incidental charge 3 weeks later. it is not an ideal way to begin a holiday or a business trip, and i would urge agoda to use my review to suggest to the heritage this practised by sto
