A fantastic break from work life!!!”
This place is just great for what I am looking for ... quite and peaceful back to nature. I love the trails behind and around the property. It is walking distance to the lovely historical Margaret River town with close proximity to a number of wineries and the great lighthouse at Cape Leeuwin. Terry is very knowledgeable and has been great in recommending places to visit. Breakfast at the Lodge which is included in the room rate is nice and healthy.
Relaxing & cosy”
Perfect for a romantic getaway (our first without the kids!), beautiful location with lush, well-maintained surroundings and the tranquil forest beginning just behind the property. A hiking trail takes you through the forest along a creek and to some really lovely spots. The included breakfast was very nice and the Margaret River town centre was within easy walking distance. Staff was friendly but unobtrusive. Highly recommend staying there.
Amazing stay!”
We booked one of the nicer rooms at the back with the view of the forest, and it was beautiful. Woke up to the scenic beauty of the karri trees, my friends went out for a walk in the early morning and enjoyed themselves, and the room was in such close vicinity to the main town. It was on the same road, in fact! Breakfast was meh. I liked that they had local produce like the Margaret River cheese, yoghurt, toasts, and cereal. We were looking forward to something more savoury though, even a little eggs perhaps. But all in all, we had a fabulous time in Margaret River. Best thing about the room was the spa tub, where you can also open the sliding window at the side linking to the room, and watch the telly! :D
Relaxing and well situated”
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Margaret River. The lodges were at the edge of the town within easy walking to the shops and restaurants yet it was very quiet. You feel at one with nature, looking out to the surrounding woods with some beautiful coloured local birds right beside you. My husband is a coeliac and they were very good at catering for him at breakfast. The staff were very attentive and friendly.
Great location”
The luxury rooms at back are quietest , room clean and comfortable. Breakfast fresh and healthy. Great location to leave car and walk trails or into Margaret river or a good base for getting to many winery's. There's a brewery next door and a gin distillery across the road so no taxis needed.
Really great place to stay”
Where do I start?? The staff are friendly. Free continental breakfast. The location is very convenient. The room was very clean, plenty of space. Their policy also allows young children to stay without extra charge if using existing bedding. They are also provide an option for additional bedding. The two person spa bath tub is very nice and large, great for kids to soak in too! The room we stayed in had a balcony out the back (as most rooms do), air is fantastic, beautiful view of natural forest landscape. Highly recommended!!! I would look forward to a stay here again next time I'm in Margaret River.
Clean and comfortable hotel”
The receptionist/owner showed very helpful upon check-in, highlighting the major attractions to be undertaken in the Margaret River area. The hotel is conveniently located, just outside of Margaret River's town heart, within a short drive of restaurants. The rooms are very large, clean and the spa bathtub is enjoyable. The forest view rooms are quiet, being further away from the road.
Nice Hotel with great Service.. Good Location ”
Good Location near to amenities and nice heritage trail for a nice relaxing walk into nature. Breakfast was nice and warm just right before a drive into the vineyards for some wine tasting. Staff were helpful in recommending vineyards and places to visit in margaret river.
Great Location and Service splendid”
this b and b was magnificent. have got no problems in recommending it to anyone. i cannot fault this b and b on any grounds whatsoever. for us this b and b gets 10 out of 10. we had never been to the margaret river region and the owners could not have been more helpful. they are very organized and plan things to perfection.
Lovely B&B !”
We had a great stay here. Love the architecture and the room decor, the owners and staff were hospitable and the breakfast spread was great. We took a walk with our two young kiddos on our last day and explore the famous Margaret River . Love that the lodge is just next to the Nature park. 👍
Lovely hotel with great service”
we had a wonderful time through out our stay in heritage trail lodge. quiet and private surroundings with forest view. very quaint and relaxing. the room size is excellent with a ver comfortable king size bed. great service! the heating was put on just before our arrival so that it will be nice and warm.
Small family hotel at your service”
Staying at Heritage Trail Lodge gave us a feeling like we were living with the family at the back of their guesthouse because breakfast is served out from the family's kitchen! Although the hotel is a little small, it is still cosy and relaxing at the same time. Margaret River town centre is just a couple of minutes drive away from the hotel which makes the hotel a convenient place to park and rest.
Perfect Christmas vacation spot!”
We spent a romantic Christmas day here and found it to be the ideal spot for exploring the Margaret River region. The gardens are beautiful and the brekkie is delish -- I recommend the fruit toast. It would be great if the kitchen area in the room had a microwave and a small sink. Otherwise an awesome spot.
Gorgeous hotel within walking distance to M/River”
very nice hotel in fantastic location. within 10 minute walking distance to centre of margaret river. rooms are very large and contain good size spa's, however walls are rather thin and hence with noisy neighbours it could become an issue. balcony faced the forrest which was gorgeous.
Birthday Weekend”
Our stay at the Heritage Trail Lodge was Fantastic. Beautiful location, very relaxing with the forest all around you. Very friendly staff. Walking distance to town. Loved it :)
Very quiet and beautiful resort”
Very impressed with the beautiful surroundings and the quiet nature of the hotel. There are only 10 cabins, so its pretty low density. A great walking trail at the back of the hotel. Located 10 mins walk to Margaret River CBD
Gorgeous Place”
Our stay at the Heritage Trail Lodge was fantastic. We had the luxury indulgence spa suite which was a great room looking out to the forrest. The staff are very friendly and accomodating and really helped us with bookings once we were there. There are so many great things to see and do only a short distance from the lodge. Definately recommend to anyone.
Exceptional”
Beautiful location, very clean and well maintained, perfect distance from town . Absolutely love heritage trail lodge
Serene Lodge.”
This is excellent stay around Margs river. Lodge rooms are huge and king bed was cozy. Sauna after day out was pretty relaxing. It's so close to the town and parks. Healthy local produce breakfast in morning was so satisfying and good for start of the day. Avoid road facing rooms if you could as road noise is spoiler. I give it 4/5.
Very calm and relaxing accommadation”
My wife and I enjoyed our stay at the Heritage Trail Lodge, and give it a total score of 9 out of 10. A great place to relax and unwind.
