Location Location Location ”

Stayed for 4 nights/5 days in the Hermitage Hotel. Lovely courtyard out back open till 11/12pm and an extra washroom on the 1st floor (ground floor is 0). We were able to come in at 7am and leave our luggage in the hotel and explore the city till our room was ready. 2 blocks away from the waterloopen subway stop, which is only 2 stops to Amsterdam central. The neighborhood is very residential and quiet, but only a 5 minute walk to Rembrandt square. The room itself faced the back courtyard and like the other reviews have said, was pretty loud - but its amsterdam, what were you expecting? The bathroom was tight, but extremely clean. Would stay again, 10/10.

Excellent Hotel! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay!”

The hotel itself was about a 10 minute walk from Amsterdam Central Station. As soon as we arrived at the hotel we were greeted by a lovely lady who gave us the key to our room. We were given a room on the third floor overlooking the canal which was lovely. The hotel is far enough to be able to get a good nights sleep, but definitely close enough to walk to the main attractions. We will definitely consider staying here again and would recommend this hotel to anyone! Thank you for a pleasant stay!

Great hotel on a budget”

Great hotel, reasonably priced breakfast with a good variety of choice. Friendly staff Great location There were some stains on the bed and a few other minor issues with the room but overall it was good. Main issue was no elevator and extremely steep stairs as you reach the upper floors

Can’t fault the hotel on anything except that they lock the garden when they leave at 12am-8am which is a bit of a pain for smokers because the only other place to smoke is out the front on the street.

Room too small for a double bed ”

With the bed right up against the wall you had to scramble across the bed to get in and out. Also I had to step over the toilet to get to the shower. Also the stairs would be a nightmare for anyone with mobility issues. This should be stressed in the hotel description. “Don’t stay here if steep, narrow, winding stairs are a problem”. Apart from that the hotel was clean, comfortable and friendly.

Good location - mediocre hotel”

Overall below average experience - very very small, thin walls so you can hear everything your neighbors are doing, tiny steep staircase and no lift. I expected all of that with the price though, so no biggie. What I was most upset about was something they could easily do.... the hotel does not have a secure luggage check for you to leave your bags after check out. They have an open closet that they let you store your things in, but anyone off the street could walk in the lobby and take your stuff. They do not tag your bag and give you a ticket like any decent hotel would, they do not lock the closet. This is one extra step they could do that makes guests comfortable and is extremely normal for a hotel to do. They say not to leave anything in the closet that you do not want stolen....what? Such an simple service they could provide for guests like any hotel, it’s just they don’t want to take the extra step. This really left a bad taste in my mouth about this hotel.

It would be great if there is a lift.”

The hotel is located near Waterlooplein. The location is good. However, there is no lift. We stayed there for two nites. We needed to carry our luggages to the 5/F for the first nite. It was really difficult. Then the hotel offered us another room on the first floor and helped us bring the luggages on the second day. Not suggest to stay here if u carry luggages or go with elderly.

konum gayet güzel”

Konum gayet güzel, bisikletle 5-6 dakikada merkeze ulaşabiliyorsunuz. Gece tesise dönerken yanınıza su da alın, zira çok yakınlarda alışveriş yapabileceğiniz yer yok. Kanal manzarası misss gibiydi, sigara içen arkadaşlar 3. katta oda almasınlar, sigara içmek için epey merdiven iniyorsunuz :D

Not too great”

The location of the hotel is very convenient however the staff and the rooms itself not too great. The rooms are very small and do not have ventilation which means you will have to open up Windows and leave it that way the entire night which is kind of scary. Now moving on to the staff itself. Cold rude people. We weren’t greeted the best way! When we arrived our room was not ready but were able to leave our luggage. But once we came back the lady who checked us in was very rude, when asked if anyone could help us with the luggage as my bf has a broken leg we wet told “we are a 2 star hotel and don’t have bellboys and you can do it yourself “How can you respond like this to your customers. Again when helped with the luggage we were given the sarcasm of “woah your bag is so heavy, are you carrying gold?” Anyway won’t recommend this this to anyone.

DO NOT STAY HERE! HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!”

We stayed here for our first visit in Amsterdam, first night was ok, the second night we went out and got back at the hotek very late. At 9am they started hammering really hard right next to our room. After 2 hours of non- stop hammering we complaint and all the manager said was that we can give me a refund so we can leave. I said are you serious??? Why would you put us in that inconvenience? We just need to rest. He laughed and call the penson that was hammering, they stopped for 20 minutes and started again not only hammerintbut also drilling!!! We complaint again and they didn’t care, they continued. We decided to just pick yo our things and leave to another hotel.

Too expensive for what it is”

Cons: €350 per day No aircond Dirty Toilet stinks Shower area clogged Room is very dim and is on the ground floor literally next to street. Could hear all the foot steps outside. Stayed for 2 nights n after the first night, I specifically asked the hotel to clean my room before going out in order to at least have a "cleaner" room when I return from day trip n was extremely disappointed the room wasn't clean at all that day despite telling them to clean it personally.
