Spend your money on somewhere else!
Staffs aren't friendly or helpful at all. Room wasn't so clean, found a few cockroaches around. The smell wasn't good either. Breakfast was just good enough for surviving.

Not a good stay, not clean, shower leaks & smelly
location( near thai embassy),
Room size was ok.... location ok ( not too far from the thai embassy )... but the room was dusty, shower was leaking so toilet was wet all the time, toilet paper was soaking wet ( i guess when they cleaned the toilet they just spray with water without scrubbing because it was still dirty, bad smell too.... the cleaning crew needs training badly! ... we also put the 'dont disturb' sign outside our door, someone still tried to open the door so we let them know we are in the room, few minutes later they came back trying to open the door again despite having the dont disturb sign still on the door. Some guests are inconsiderate of others opening and closing doors so loudly.

It was value for money that you paid for it
Near Thai embassy for 15 minutes by walk, Wifi was good and quiet place !
It was ok for my staying at that time and it was value for my money that I paid but two things that I would complain that is 1.the room was bad smell 2. the air conditioner was not good.

Decent for the price
Not much. The internet was better this time.
I have stayed here numerous times. Not much to brag about, but what can you expect for 24 dollars? The elevator was down in the afternoon, so a fourth floor room wasn't a bonus. They have improved their internet.

Loud, but all in all OK for the money.
Cheap, close to the Thai embassy
Everything was okay apart from very loud Chinese people staying there that the management didn't seem to ask to keep the noise down at all.

Decent Hotel Near Thai Consulate
Price, comfort and internet
It's not a bad place, although I'd recommend Laos Golden if your budget can go slightly higher. You'll get more for your money. The staff is friendly, but it does not speak English. The rooms are nice enough. The location is a bit odd. It's great if you want to get your visa at the Thai Consulate. It's also not far from a great gym, if you like that kind of thing. Sengdara Fitness will supply you with great fitness equipment and a pool. You're a ways from the action, but if your purpose is to get your visa, this will work just fine.

Serviceable and modest hotel near the Thai Embassy
Price, Comfort, Wi-fi
It was just fine. It can be rare to find good working wi-fi in Laos sometimes. Their wi-fi is good. Staff is friendly but speaks no English. Breakfast is okay. Location isn't great, unless you're here for the Thai Visa Run. This hotel is near two things I need — the Thai embassy and Sengdara Fitness. At Sengdara, about $8 USD gets you an outdoor swimming pool, a full gym with weights and shower, and a massage. That's hard to beat. So... get a room at Heuang Chealeun, and just walk to these two places. :) You're saving money, and it's a good experience.
