Lovely hosts and an excellent location within Launceston”

I stayed here for two nights so that I could see Launceston and visit Cradle Mountain. The lovely couple who own the B&B are super helpful and, although the room decor was more traditional than ultra modern, it was spotlessly clean and had everything that I could need. They waited up until I arrived from the airport and were happy to serve a cooked breakfast from very early so that I could catch my tour bus. They also answered all my emails very promptly. I would suggest asking for a room at the back of the property as there is some noise from the road which you may not appreciate if you are a light sleeper like me. However, all-in-all I would be happy to recommend Hi George as I think that it was great value for money.

Enjoyable stay”

George and Fiona were very welcoming from the moment we checked in. They provided lots of information about Launceston and the B&B amenities in general. Rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was great, very tasty and there was plenty of food. The B&B was conveniently located in the centre of Launceston close to shops and restaurants. Would definitely stay here again.

Really great hospitality ”

My friends and I were in launceston for a day and we totally loved Hi George! We were quite embarrassed as we kept calling him "George"! He was friendly and really helpful on how we could get around town. (Thank you so much for the tips!) Rooms were really clean and it felt like we were at home. The wifi connection was great as well. Lastly, breakfast prepared by Fiona was tasty and sumptuous. If I were to visit launceston once more, I would love to stay here once more & would definitely recommend friends to stay here again in future!(:

A decent bed and breakfast with very friendly host”

Launceston is a beautiful city filled with friendly people. The stay at Hi George B&B was very enjoyable. The B&B is located at a very convenient location with just 10-minute walk or 3-minute drive from city centre. The host was extremely friendly and they cooked nice breakfast for us.

Amazing location with wonderful owners. Launceston is a very busy town and Hi George had such a pleasant atmosphere to it that made you feel right at home. Definitely of the best B&B’s I’ve ever visited and on-site parking was a great plus +

We stayed in Hi George in May for two nights. It was a great experience. The house was clean, tidy and quiet. The Host, Fiona and David are friendly and helpful. They made simple breakfast for us and we had a lot of chats. We have decided to stay in their house again next time when we travel to Launceston. Sarah and Graham.

The Hi George is a lovely B&B in a central but quite location, the owners are very kind and helpful. Our room was large and comfortable plus we had free off street parking. Highly recommended.

Very nice stay at this B&B where George himself welcomed us, gave us lots of sightseeing tips, and prepared our breakfast. Long experience in hotel business. Our room had a small sitting room besides the bedroom which made the area homey and comfortable. A very enjoyable stay.

Elegant and lovely place!”

We booked two nights on arrival in Launceston and liked the place so much we booked on the spot for our last night before departure. David and Fiona made us feel like family. The rooms are very well-maintained. David can give you directions to any part of Launceston, even to the Carmelite Monastery.

Friendly hosts creating great atmosphere to interact with other travellers ”

Great B&B in very central location. The breakfast was delicious served at a big, common table. George introduced us to all the other guests making interactions with them easy and comfortable. Great start to the day.

Great little Bed and breakfast”

Stayed for three nights. Owners were very friendly and welcoming and prepared a lovely cooked breakfast each morning. Rooms were nice, clean and spacious. The accommodation is situated within easy walking distance to Launceston town centre. The price was also very reasonable.

Exceptional ”

I loved staying at HiGeorge. It is a true bed and breakfast with lovely owners, who are on-site and beyond knowledgeable about Launceston. The room was spacious with a sitting area. Tea, coffee, and biscuits in the room. There are some rooms with stairs. Parkingis on-/site, and there refrigerator for guests to storage food. Breakfast was delicious!

Although this is a B&B stay, the service and room conditions can compare with 5 star hotel. The owners are very attentive to each guest, and provided good home made breakfast. The facilities in the room are all branded. For example, the toilet paper has printed picture. The cups are all branded products. They also have nice decoration in the house.

The room is big and clean ,I love the decoration so much .The owners are friendly and helpful .They would tell you a lot about Launceston like restaurant ,attraction ,etc. The dog is so lovely!!! Breakfast is so nice.A warm family !

We stayed for two nights and could not have asked for a nicer place to stay. The room was very clean and well presented, everything you could want from a B&B. The owners are the best part of this place though. They were very welcoming and helpful when we first arrived and throughout our stay. Breakfast was lovely.

Form the moment we entered reception area we greeted with a friendly greeting from David and Fiona. We had a one night stop over on our way to Cradle and this was a close location near to town. We were able to walk to shops, stock up on last minute supplies, a nice Indian restaurant around the corner and an early breakfast the morning of our departure. Hi George is a great place to stay, highly recommended and would stay again and for longer.

Lovely overnight stay with friendly owners”

Nice secluded location on a quiet street only a short walk away from the centre of town. Our room was comfortable, very clean and homely. The owners were very kind, and cooked us up a lovely breakfast. Would definitely recommend a short stay at this quaint B & B.
