Lovely small hotel with rooms surrounding the garden. Nice little restaurant and helpful staff. They were just finishing off the swimming pool when I was there. Was fairly small but looked very inviting place to spend some time once it was completed!
No doubt, the best place in Puerto Princesa”
A great, modern, boutique, renovated property, along with a great customer service, your own outdoor hammock and chairs, a sleek stylish shower and very spacious rooms! By far the best value in town, will definitely stay again, highly recommended.
Dear Sir O, Thank you so much for staying with us. Hope you enjoyed your stay and hope to have you here again on your next future visit. Regards, HGI Team
Loved the place !”
This hotel has a lovely tropical setting. The staff are super helpful and can cater to most of your needs. The room I stayed in was clean, spacious and comfortable with a hammock out the front. The Restaurant had excellent food at very reasonable prices and a great menu. The breakfast was equally as good. Would I stay here again, yes, I would. Well done to the staff for a great stay. It was an easy motorised tricycle type taxi to get you into town if you needed to go.
It’s close to the airport and the free pick up service is just perfect. The whole design is very cozy and food is tasty. There is not much to see in Puerto princessa itself, but as a transfer to El Nido, this place is awesome!
The resort is a very nice place. ”
In January 2019 our experience of the resort was ruined by the ongoing construction work of a large swimming pool next to the room. Further more there were renovation jobs in some rooms with power tools starting 8 in the morning. We do not recommend anyone to stay here as long as this is ongoing. Otherwise the place is very nice.
Best host ever”
Nice rooms good food great host
Very clean nice rooms and very nice garden area, the only draw back is the dinner menu is limited to Italian but the breakfast was yummy and great ladies. Try dinner at Kalo restraunt, amazing but you will need a reservation.
Small but very nice”
The rooms are clean and big, the highlight is the cozy ambient inside the Garden. Get out of your room, lay down in your hammock (every room got it's own) and enjoy the small but very nice garden and relax.
we stayed only one night and regret we didn't find this place earlier. It's very beautiful, quite, perfect place to relax. The rooms are spacious and we had our own private garden. Internet and wifi was good. Food in the restaurant was delicious! I can only recommend this place!
Charming Garden Oasis”
I stayed at Hibiscus Inn for 1 night and loved my stay.It reminded me of a spanish hacienda with ochre coloured walls and thatched roofs (that is tropical)...there such intetesting wooden sculpted masks dotted along everywhete in the beautiful well maintained garden....hammicks n wickwr chairs outside the rooms too. The room bathroom and restaurant reception atea were spic & span clean. Very delicious wood fried pizzas in the restaurant....and the staff were so friendly polite and efficient. Salamat Hibiscus Garden Inn :)
The inn is surrounded with greenery, main reason why we booked this place, which is very relaxing and plus points for the hammocks. We stayed in the queen room and we have our private garden with hammock. The bed is big enough for a couple with a baby, we're on the slim side by the way. Aircon with fan room. Fan was very useful during power interruption when the inn was using generator, I guess, the fan and lights were working. They serve delicious breakfast, though a bit pricey. Good location, short trike ride from city center. Staff were very friendly. We loved our stay here!
1. Clean Room 2. Amazing Service 3. Very Relaxing Aura 4. Surprisingly Good Restaurant 5. All of the employees are reasonable and give you actual market prices for tricycles and transportation you will always feel comfortable and know that they have your best interests in mind. 6. My wife got sick in El Nido and this place did everything in their power to make our trip nice.
We only stayed one night, coming from El Nido and leaving the next day from Puerto Princesa, but we enjoyed this hotel. It's not a new hotel but is well maintained. The rooms are huge, clean and comfortable. They have hammocks and a pair of chairs outside of the rooms, but for us it was too hot and humid to enjoy in this time of the year. The garden is really nice, and I really liked that they have decorations from Palawan and The Philipines. None of the 6 hotels we've been in the Philippines had this special decor. The restaurant was good. We had one pizza and tuna sashimi for two, and it was more than enough. They both tasted good. The service was perfect, and they have airport shuttle or they would pay for your trycicle to the airport if it's outside the bus schedule.
Perfect clean, convenient hotel”
We stayed here for 1 night on our way back from El Nido. Hotel has everything you could ask for. Room was spacious and clean, staff was very helpful, including free shuttle to the airport (which is very close). It took around 15min to go to Robinson Mall from the hotel by tricycle, not sure how far the "main part of town" would be. Would definitely recommend staying here.
There were often power outage in this part of the town, the best thing about HGI is that they have their own generator, so power will resume within seconds. I liked the garden, the hammock and the relaxing vibes at the inn. The staff lit up mosquito coils around the place at night to keep away the mozzies. I had the intention of booking the Underground River tour with the inn, unfortunately I forgot to inform them in advance and for this particular tour we need advance booking. With only one day in Puerto Princesa, I was not able to do the tour, so travelers who wish to do this day tour do take note. The staff helped us to do a dinner booking with Kalui, and they were always available if we need directions to other places in the city. The security guard on duty at night was also very friendly. The only thing I did not like too much about the room was the yellow lighting complete with orange painted walls. Somehow, it made the room less cozy and comfortable than it should be. It should be better if the lights or the walls were white and bright. The room and bathroom is very spacious for a inn and I liked that the temperature of the hot shower.
Green oasis of peace ”
Hibiscus Garden Inn is a breath of fresh air hiding near the Puerto Princesa airport, hotel is located in lush green garden, rooms are spacious and comfy (especially rotating aimed ceiling fan is a nice touch), staff is courteous and helpful and you can relax in a hammock outside of your room. What else would you want ?
Quiet oasis close to airport”
Very well maintained garden with lots of places to sit and relax, room was basic but contained all the essentials eg air con, wifi, clean bathroom. The restaurant onsite served excellent wood fired pizza - worth travelling for, even if you didn't stay here. Very peaceful and quiet, away from traffic noise, which we liked a lot.
cheerful, helpful staff”
Excellent start to our holiday in Palawan. The staff were helpful and knowledgeable and even let us leave our bags there on our return even though we weren't staying the night. The massages were a perfect end to each day and we were impressed how everything happened at the time it was expected to - there was no waiting around for transport etc. Food was very good especially the local raw fish dish and the pizza from the wood fired oven. Thoroughly recommend it.
A very nice garden withrooms scattered throughout.”
It was a great stay. We were a reasonable group of business travellers, a bit different from the average travellers here, who are usually tourists coming through town on their way to some of the beaches, or leaving from the airport the next morning. Puerto Princesa itself is nothing special, but the hotel is a nice quiet oasis in the city and everyone there was really helpful in making our stay productive (for work, we worked in the restaurant much of several days).
Best choice for having a nice weekend in PPS”
All staff are friendly, good location and facilities as well as very nice breakfast. When you start your day, a beautiful garden welcome you! However, the wifi needs an improvement to make this hotel become a perfect choice in PPS.
