Not suitable for family stay ”

This place is not for family stay specially you have kids with you. My room neighbors were drinking alcohol and smoking in porch, they were just doing it next to my door. I didn't feel safe for family. Bathroom was so small hardly you fit in it. I won't recommend for family stay.

Clean room under cover parking”

This appears to be a winter style of accommodation. Not many guests this time of year set up for skiers, so the restaurant was not operating, lucky for me the Royal hotel was nearby for meals.

the most cost effective stay in Cooma”

I travel to Cooma 5-6 times a year. I only stay here. Is it a Hilton? no, the friendly warm welcome, and the high quality stay versus the super low price just makes sense to me. there's more pricey places, with no feel. it's a little further out of town, but I drive in for whatever I need. Thanks to the owner and her staff!!!

I regularly need to stay overnight in Cooma and accordingly I have staid almost everywhere available. The High Country Motel is the best motel I have staid at in Cooma. It is perched up high on the highest hill with sweeping views over Cooma and the ambient countryside. Motel rooms are always clean and come with large windows and individual views of the arid Cooma landscape. The Chinese family who run the motel are a delight to deal with and are popular amongst their regulars who stay there. I don’t think you will get better value in Cooma than the HighCountry Motel

Satisfactory to disappointing”

Friendly host and lovely view from room #6. Reasonably clean room but close inspection revealed stained sheet. I mistakenly left my toiletries bag containing contact lenses and other valuables. The day after checking out I contacted High Country Motel but was told it could not be found. The bag has never been returned to me.

The building structure is not sound and the whole room was at an angle on the slope edge. no heating and was drafty and moldy

A lovely weekend away”

We had a very pleasant stay at the High Country Motel. There was ample space for our family of 5. Donna was very helpful and even expressed posted us a toy that had been left behind. We would stay again.
