Chilly but nice views”
The owner was very pleasant on our arrival and assisted our driver in finding the place as there was no sign and it was a bit difficult to find but once we did we took a lovely walk around the area and it was very peaceful. It was quite calm and the tea plantations and gardens are so beautiful. It was very cold at night and in the morning but we had several thick blankets to keep us warm although once out of bed it was cold. When we arrived and checked in I asked for the towels along with toilet paper but I was told that his wife was in town so I understood it as he didn't know where these items are kept. I asked again for towels to shower and then he produced two towels so not sure why we had to wait but still no toilet paper. We went on our walk and then came back and still didn't get any toilet paper but there was a used bar of soap in the bathroom which isn't very sanitary but maybe others wouldn't be bothered by that. We went to sleep and when we woke up I had to ask for toilet paper again and they finally provided it. They were very pleasant but I'm just disappointed that we had to ask for basic toiletries, the water pressure was extremely low, the drawers in the room weren't cleaned and had guest old items in them still and it was very cold in the room in the morning. The blankets also didn't smell fresh. I hate writing all of this as they were nice and all but they should really take note of those little things.

Not as expected”
This was not at all what we expected. We thought it was an inexpensive guest house with a view. Instead it is a home stay in the musty house of a Sri Lankan family which has no view and is extremely far from the town. The owner charged us 800 rupees each way to pick us up and drop us off at the train station. He did give us a ride into town but we felt trapped there because it was so far from where we were staying. The breakfast is 500 rupees pp and consisted of an egg omelet and a bunch of dry white toast. Would not recommend or stay again!

Homely atmosphere and lovely people.”
We were pleasantly surprised to see this lovely bungalow. The rooms were spotlessly clean and well maintained, even the bathrooms and the linen were all very very clean and properly presented. The owner and his wife run this place with a little help from their 3 kids. We loved chatting and making friends with them all. They are lovely, warm, kind, caring & hospitable people, who went out of their way to make our stay a enjoyable and restful one. Both my wife and myself would recommend this place to any and everyone. The family atmosphere is so beautiful personal & warm. We left with only good memories and cherish the time we spent with these wonderful people. We also suggested that they put up a small board outside the bungalow to alert potential guests of the actual location of the wonderful place. I am sure that Bundu (the owner) will make sure this is done soon. We would like to wish them all the best for a bright future.

we had a small budget so the place was good value for money considering the inflated hotel rates in nuwara elia. the rooms are in the family which we did not expect at the beginning, but the family was very nice and ambiance was good. very good dinner with family made rice and curry and a soup and dissert. room was clean and with hot water. location is less optimal, it is on a hill about 2 or 3km from the centre. fortunately, the owner proposes free transport to and from city centre. one draw back is the owner didnt give us correct info about the bus hours so we missed our fisrt bus and needed to wait 1.5 hours for the second.

A 2000 mètres d altitude un air pur et rafraîchissant.”
C est facile de quitter la pollution du centre ville pour prendre un petit bus qui grimpe la montagne sur 4.5 km,quant à la descente je L ai faite à pied admirant de Pres un paysage incroyablement magnifique. Les propriétaires du bungalow toujours prêts à rendre service avec un sourire.Pas de pression pour prendre le repas chez eux et meme ils permettent de mettre de la bière dans leur frigidaire.

la campagne au paradis”
petit couple plein de gentillesse qui reçoit dans leur guest house pas entièrement fini mais qui ne gène en rien....les chambres sont propres et on mange divinement bien...personnes qui ont besoin d'ètre aidé en louant chez eux....et pour nous pour un endroit reposant et pour eux pour leurs travaux...de belles balades à faire dans les plantations de thé...un plus, le propriétaire vous emmène en voiture gratuitement en ville.....petit endroit à ne pas rater....

Zimmer sind ordentlich eingerichtet, aufgrund des schlechten Wetters, war jedoch alles sehr feucht und kalt. Der Eingang zu unserem Zimmer war mehr oder weniger im Wohnzimmer der Familie. Die Besitzer waren allerdings sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und es gab für einen angemessen Preis leckeres Frühstück und Abendessen. Das Guesthouse ist etwas abseits gelegenen, da wir jedoch mit dem Roller unterwegs waren, war das für uns kein Problem.

Kan varmt rekommendera detta boende om man vill komma bort från centrum o bo o känna sig som hemma. Familjen hjälpte till med allt o "mamma" lagade fantastiskt god mat. O pappa va en utmärkt chaufför för oss. Återkommer gärna till detta boende.

因為到的時間有點晚，隔天又一大早出門，完全沒看到過民宿全貌，地點有點兒不好找，司機沿途問人並打電話請民宿主人說明如何抵達，民宿主人一家很友善。
