Great budget stay option”
This was my Eleventh stay at Highfield Hotel in two years. The staff are always so helpful, but special mention must go to recent addition Peter. Peter goes out of his way to make all guests feel welcome and he is never too busy for a chat. This is what makes Highfield Hotel a real home away from home. Likewise Owner Adrian and son Eden go the extra mile to ensure that all of their guests have a pleasant stay. The free included breakfast is plentiful and of good quality. The availability of a kitchen with hot plates, oven and microwave is a welcome feature if you need to self cater. The communal bathrooms have all been renewed and are generally clean. The beds are comfortable and the rooms more spacious than other budget offerings in the area. The location is second to none being a short walk to the Train Station, Woolworths, Coles, restaurants and the Kings Cross nightlife. I personally prefer the Highfield Hotel to more expensive properties I have stayed in the area.

We stayed there for 5 nights and had a private room. It's great for the price and location. We just wished they had cleaning for the room for those staying longer.

Staff is extremely helful. The wall is very thin. U can hear everythig from next door. My night the couple next to my door was fighting. I couldnt sleep well.... so noisy indian!

Convenient and Comfortable”
I stayed over night with 3 small children, all around I would stay here again. The rooms are a little older but they have everything you need. I did find a few long hairs in the bathroom which I am assuming is the cleaner because I found one on the bed too. The staff were very friendly.

Good budget hotel at excellent location”
Pleasant and quiet stay close to shops and restaurants. King Cross bar/restaurant is great (2 min walk from hotel). Good bed. Self service breakfast. Nice staff. Easy access to public transport.

This is a basic hotel close to the railway station in a nice, quiet street with some parking. Staff are friendly and the facilities are okay.

Perfect Transit Hotel”
If you want to stay close to railway stations, inner city or have a hire car to drive north the next day this spot is ideal. Facilities are clean with smallish rooms. There are places to eat nearby or a communal kitchen. It is set in an older part of the city on a nice, leafy tree-lined street.

helpful staff.. but the toilet light at 3rd floor always on off it’s annoying me.. nice place for me.. cause can sleep peacefully in the night.. not crowded place near with king cross station.. if i came sydney again i’ll stay here again

The price I got was excellent for such a convenient location. The staff/owner was not really friendly, but I was not bothered too much about that. The room is really tiny but very clean.

Its OK”
This is a backpackers, with a few rooms that have an ensuite. Everything was fine, but just know that this is a backpackers and is aimed at people with a tight budget. Having said this, Its cheaper to book other places a bit cheaper than here. But I did have a good stay.

O if you need a clean en suite at low-ish price”
Facilities similar to a mediocre backpackers, yet prices higher. Very well located in Kings Cross. Plenty of choices of cafes etc. Communal kitchen clean but uninspiring. No other communal space. My room was small with the after-market en suite taking up much of the space, a double bed squeezed awkwardly in the remaining space. Security is excellent. Clean en suite bathroom, bed linen, towels and toiletries provided, which you wouldn't get at a backpackers, so if you need that it's probably a good budget pick. but I think I'd prefer better ambience, a shared bathroom, own towel and slightly lower price next time.

The location is quite good, not too far from SYD landmarks. Personally, I think the kitchen is slightly dirty, but their breakfast is great.

Stay for a night and change hotel For the same price we cold get a more decent place. Small room /if you hv a big bag then it will be diff to accommodate. Walkable from the train station.

Not a hotel ”
This establishment can’t be called a hotel its rather a hostel or backpackers. Tiny room tiny bathroom. Wc not cleaned and i don’t feel the floor was mopped. Hairs and dust in room found. No elevator. Tv remote not working. During my stay room (3days)never cleaned and bin still full. For little more dollars can get an authentic hotel.

You will be waken up by the decoration noise from down stairs before 7 am without notice.”
The worker with earmuffs started to do decorations before 7 am in the morning, you can not sleep at all. I suggest the owner should give earmuffs to us as well. Its terrible! Do not stay here !

Very unclean”
Booked for myself and 2 kids - double bed and single. Room had 2 towels, single bed not made up, dirty with hair all over it. No staff on site, had to phone them to even check in at 5pm. Didn't end up staying, booked a different hotel at last minute and stayed there instead. Do not recommend at all.
