HRH was my very first hostel experience and was so good that I suddenly feel the world of travel possibilities before me—if every hostel is as picturesque, friendly, comfortable, and affordable, then I will be one happy gal. They set the stakes high, though. I stayed in an 8 bed coed room with only four other people (all male). Felt safe and slept well. Keycard to get in room was nice. The bathroom adorable, and they even provided a towel ! The room was no fuss, clean, and minimalistic feeling. I really liked it, though I spent most of my time downstairs with the new friends I made, one of whom lives across the world and has already flown to visit me once. When I booked my stay there, I was going on reviews of no bedbugs and basic comfort and price and had absolutely no conception of how pleasant the people would be or the friendship that would forge between me and someone I otherwise never would have met. HRH was one of my best decisions and experiences in 2018. Thank you!

Exceptional”
I stayed for 3 nights and the place was extremely clean and the staff was very friendly. I got the 6 beds room but I was lucky enough to have the whole room to myself for my entire stay. It was also very convenient that the room had a bathroom attached to it. The location, Adams Morgan, is an amazing area. There are many famous local shops and its close to a lot of attractions in DC. I would totally recommend just walking around because the buildings are so pretty and the neighbourhood is very aesthetic!

Worth the money”
The hostel is nice and clean. The staffs are friendly. There are two bus station nearby. The hostel provides breakfast and toiletries. This is one of the nicest hostel I stayed in.

Great place to stay in DC”
I've stayed here a couple times on sightseeing trips to DC. Staff and guests are always lovely, it's on a busy street with a ton of good eating. I would NOT bring a car as there is very limited parking and traffic sucks. If you have a military ID, I would park at JB Anacostia and Lyft around the city.

I've been to a lot of hostels in different countries(Europe, Australia, etc.) This is the best hostel I've ever been. Especially for bathrooms. I would definitely come back to this place again if I'm visiting DC.

This is one of the best hostels in DC and the country as a whole. They have a well set up self catering facilities, clean chill/work areas and good Wi-Fi. Staff are helpful and the location is great even though the metro isn't nearby but the bus stop is. Good vibes throughout.

Extraordinary hostel!!!”
I have excellent impression about the hostel, the friendly and helpful staff, very clean modern bathroom, the hostel furniture, nice kitchen with plenty of kitchen equipment and all the cooking herbs. The breakfast was very enjoyable and tasty. One evening the hostel provided a free Italian pasta dinner and on Sunday a pancake for breakfast. I strongly recommend this place.

It's just amazing! Girls on reception are very helpful, location is really great, as there're a lot of food/drinks around and it's very easy to get to all the sight-seeings. And also hostel provide toiletries and towels you need, wifi works perfectly in rooms and every evening there's something interesting in the hostel.

Fun little spot”
This was a wonderful little spot, great location, super friendly and helpful staff. The bedding is comfy and clean, the bathrooms are well done and have individual shower stalls. Well equipped kitchen, wifi, and computers are provided, as well as a dining room and comfy sitting area with a tv. The neighborhood is cool, with plenty of dining options in walking distance (check out The Diner!). Parking is horrendous, don't even bother. Short Lyft ride to downtown.

Clean and modern while being in an older building with lots of character. Relaxed environment, easy to meet other travelers. Staff was helpful. Location was good-close to good food bars and 15 minute walk to DuPont circle. Easy to catch buses. Some stairs depending which floor you get. Spacious rooms. Bathrooms are new and well kept.
